Health InSight with Dadosfera
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), around 400 million people worldwide lack access to essential health services. Additionally, WHO highlights the lack of reliable and accurate data as a critical problem that affects many areas of health, especially in developing countries and vulnerable communities.
The lack of accurate information makes it difficult to identify the real needs of the population and, therefore, plan and implement effective interventions to meet the health demands of these groups. This can result in an inadequate allocation of resources, lack of access to relevant health services, and ultimately worsen the health and well-being of vulnerable populations.
Dadosfera is a SaaS platform focused on data, comprising the entire data lifecycle. From data collection to data visualization, Dadosfera uses Dashboards and Data Apps for intuitive and easy decision-making. In the “collect” module, we have several connectors (APIs, Databases, Excel, Google Sheets) to extract data and send it to Dadosfera through the mechanism of pipelines. In the “consolidation” module, we can intuitively transform data using a lingua franca of the Data & Analytics field: SQL. Finally, in the “visualization” and “intelligence” modules, we create interactive dashboards, Artificial Intelligence models, and Data Apps for when dashboards are not enough.
Our platform is the fastest path between a company's data and its value deliveries. Our solution helps our clients to refine and democratize Data, AI, and Analytics. By implementing Dadosfera, SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) can take advantage of Intelligent Solutions to predict and prescribe their best version in future through insights across different foundations, including: Advanced People Analytics, Process Mining, Forecasting & Planning, and Data Mesh.

Dadosfera has been working with some Brazilian companies that directly impact the education and healthcare sectors, providing data analytics that make their business development more effective. A clear example of a healthcare initiative is the HealthLake institute created by the co-founder of Dadosfera (Luis Martins), which aims to create a data lake for brazilian health information, both public and private, so that the population can easily access this data and understand the context of the subject in the country.
In the global context proposed by MIT challenge, we observe that there is a difficulty in analyzing data from leaders in the healthcare sector for conscious and informed decision-making. Therefore, our company aims to impact the lives that are affected in fragile contexts and minority populations in society as a whole, allowing the needs of these groups to be visualized clearly and easily understood and accessed. As a result, obtaining an overview of what the main problems are, strengthening the healthcare infrastructure to ensure that data related to the subject is current, comprehensive, and actionable, improving governance and coordination between local and international communities in fragile contexts, allowing for a broad understanding of where greater support and investment are needed to preserve the lives and health of the population.
The Dadosfera Solutions team has been working to provide constant support to companies that use our services. We work with massive amounts of data and have significant technical expertise to handle them, which is why we are prepared to receive health-related data and process it, obtaining the best insights to support solution users in their decision-making. In addition to this, we have our commercial and customer success team that is always available to better understand the needs of our customers, adapting our service to the necessary demand.
Finally, we have our leaders and founders: Luis Martins and Allan Sene, who will be available to monitor and validate the solution, verifying that it meets the requirements and demands of the community.
- Enable informed interventions, investment, and decision-making by governments, local health systems, and aid groups
- Brazil
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model that is rolled out in one or more communities
Currently Dadosfera has 70 users.
And the Healthlake Institute for which Dadosfera provides direct support in technology has more than 450 users per month.
We are applying to Solve primarily because we would like to help alleviate global challenges through technological innovation. Additionally, it is valuable for Dadosfera to connect with other companies that offer similar solutions to gain a network and better understand demands beyond Brazil, where we are located. Finally, as MIT is a great example in terms of technology, it is beneficial for us to have support and contact with the institute's people to mentor us and bring improvements and optimization to our product and company.
In addition, we already have some connections with MIT through MIT Angels, such as Amaury Fonseca, who holds a PhD from MIT, Elisa Mofarrej, a counselor for MIT Sloan Latin America, Maria Alice Frontini, the founder of MIT Angels Brazil, and our investor Sayuri Sharper, who is an engineer and master's degree holder from the institution and the president of a social impact group there. Because of this, being part of the Solve team would be very interesting for Dadosfera to be increasingly present in this ecosystem. More information about our current connection with MIT can be seen in the MIT Technology Review article about Dadosfera. What makes Dadosfera innovative is that we seek to group all of a company's data in only one place, organizing, centralizing it in a single environment, facilitating access, democratizing and making data usage simple for decision-making, allowing its users to focus on their business objectives.
Our main goal is to increase the number of users on our platform. We see that the Brazilian population still has a very low maturity when it comes to the importance of using data-focused technologies for decision-making in their businesses. Therefore, we believe that if we can make Dadosfera more known and used, we will be collaborating for the development and growth of small and medium-sized businesses in the country and helping these businesses maintain their sustainability. To complete this goal, we have four main objectives:
Win key business and tech industry influence
Attract and procure team people aligned with our culture & DNA
High adoption for business users and customers
Sell more our platform
- 3. Good Health and Well-being
- 8. Decent Work and Economic Growth
- 9. Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure

Initially, we have the problem, which is the inequality of the healthcare system in fragile contexts, affecting over 1.6 billion people and even more severe for minority groups. Managers face difficulty in decision-making on the topic due to a lack of access to information. The goal of Dadosfera is to facilitate the visualization of data and information through the use of a data anda AI platform that generates an easy-to-use dashboard accessible to people with limited knowledge of the subject. We hope that decision-making will be facilitated and areas in fragile contexts easily identified so that actions can be taken based on real and well-treated information, leading to effective results for the population in fragile contexts suffering from the inequality of the healthcare system. Our strategy involves seeking reliable data sources that provide relevant information on the major issues, treating them to generate insights relevant to problem-solving and making them available to the entire company. Activities related to this strategy will begin with the search for as much data as possible and its integration into our platform. We will then study with interested parties which indicators are necessary to reduce the problem and generate information, making it available on interactive dashboards. We will also work with users through demonstrations and establish partnerships to provide continuous support. Required inputs include our platform, which is ready for use; the Dadosfera solutions team, to handle, work and make health data available, and also our sales team, in constant contact with interested parties. Success indicators include the number of Dashboard users, the number of countries reached, user satisfaction metrics, and the quality and usefulness of the final information provided. Finally, the expected impact is to make a positive impact on healthcare, specially for the population in fragile contexts, making decision making more agile, data-driven and comprehensive to reduce problems related to this topics.

We are a for-profit organization
Dadosfera values diversity and inclusion, starting with its recruitment and selection practices. Currently, our team is composed of 55% male and 45% female members. Among women in our team, 16% hold leadership positions with is a strong focus on their development in the tech career. Additionally, around 50% of our team members are non-caucasian, and approximately 17% identify as part of the LGBT community. We work and value an environment where all people, cultures, ethnicities, and beliefs are welcome and fully respected. We believe that diversity makes us stronger.
Dadosfera operates under the B2B model, selling directly to companies that have the desire to improve their data performance. Our service is provided through our platform, which aims to decentralize data analysis within companies, allowing managers to focus on business objectives and democratizating data. Additionally, we are the main partner and supporter of the Health Lake Institute, which is a 100% non-profit organization. We have the support of the Institute, with the use of technology developed by Dadosfera, to meet the objectives of the challenge.
- Organizations (B2B)
We intend to become financially independent by selling subscriptions to the SaaS plataform we build. As there is also the intention to raise investment capital in a series A round. We also have an FP&A model in the company that shows us the durability of the current cash burn, which shows when we are going to reach breakeven and thus have a sustainable cash position.
A practical example of how we are becoming financially sustainable are private funding offered for specific initiatives, such as our case with SBM OffShore for an ESG initiative.
SBM Offshore believes that the oceans will provide the world with safe, sustainable, and accessible energy for future generations. Through the Sharing Ocean Data project, the company aims to achieve some of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Sustainability is a part of the company's strategy and is embedded in the entire business lifecycle. In addition, one of SBM's focus areas is to support its clients' net-zero emission commitments and strive to reduce its environmental footprint and waste generation, including plastic.
The partnership with Dadosfera on the Sharing Ocean Data project enables SBM Offshore to advance its sustainable and environmentally conscious strategy according to the United Nations. This is achieved through an online platform developed by Dadosfera, which aims to serve two large groups: academy and industry,to host continuously collected environmental data, made openly available for download through a database.
We raised investment capital in pre-seed and seed rounds, where we were able to raise more than 2.2 million dollars. Also, we have already sold subscription and professional services to customers in Brazil and one customer in the Netherlands.
