Rising Woman Development Initiative
Every year, there are 5000 babies born with sickle cell disease on Busoga region in Eastern Uganda.
Most of the parents of these babies didn't know before that they are carriers of the disease until they produce a child with sickle cell disease.
We want to target test all relatives of people with sickle cell disease or relatives of known carriers of sickle cell disease, this will reduce the cases of carriers of sickle cell disease inter marrying hence putting an end to sickle cell disease.
