Have you wondered how would the world look with free diagnostic test? Impactful transformation will be seen right from, below poverty line groups, who consider health as a compromise due to expensive tests. Hence discrimination will decrease and new phase .i.e. #HealthcareForAll will be induced. Free diagnostic test will improve the quality of life of individuals. Free screening test aims to detect diseases at an early stage, before any symptoms become noticeable. Less chances of a pandemic will occur, as already many would have undergone 2nd and 3rd line of treatment. The pandemic has made me realize a need for change in the healthcare industry, to tackle life threatening diseases. Bringing about change in the healthcare sector has become my life's vision that is free diagnosis and creating a valuable product, founding a new company with a sustainable business model. The type of transformation I am working on is developing quantum technology based sensors using Nano-materials to replace chemical based immunoassays for diagnosis. The project is entitled, "Wireless electronic skin based sensors using Quantum Technology (bio-nanomaterials) for diagnosis of disease through potential biomarkers for qualitative, quantitative analysis." For executing such a huge change in the healthcare sector, collaboration with brilliant scientists, doctors and professors is important. I am working towards a broader visions of replacing traditional methods of diagnosis and body imaging. My first product is a diagnostic test for type 1 and type 2 diabetes, using various biomarkers. Around 537 million adults (20-79 years) are living with diabetes that is 1 in 10. This number is predicted to rise to 643 million by 2030 and 783 million by 2045. Over 3 in 4 adults with diabetes live in low- and middle-income countries.
The era of 2023 up rises with the new age of biotechnology where, artificial intelligence, quantum technology, sensor technology and biological materials unite for the expansion of preventive healthcare. On an average 252 types of diagnostic tests are done, to investigate the type of disorder an individual has, based on the symptoms. Wireless electronic skin Technology replaces the traditional methods which are used in diagnostic centers for reliable testing of chronic ailments by using quantum entanglement spectrum of biomolecules and distinguish them based on their excitation state. Detection through traditional methods become difficult as the enzymes and their interaction takes a long period of time.
I am trying to build a whole point of care solution for home diagnosis and regulation of diseases, thereby making healthcare patient centered. The technologies used are wireless electronic skin patch embedded with sensor technology, and accompanied by a telemedicine mobile application for regulation of the disease.
More than 37 millionTrusted Source adults are living with diabetes in the United States — a figure that has more than doubled in the last two decades. If diabetes is left untreated, it can cause serious health conditions that can affect various parts of the body, including the eyes, kidneys, and nerves.
The main two types of diabetes are type 1 and type 2. Type 1 diabetes is where the body is unable to produce the hormone insulin. Type 2 — the most common form of diabetes — is where the body cannot effectively use insulin.
The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) reports that about 537 million people worldwide have diabetes. The number of cases has been increasing over the past few decades, and the IDF predicts 783 million people will have diabetes by 2045 — an increase of 46%.
Keep reading to learn more about how diabetes rates vary by country and measures that could help curb the diabetes epidemic.
Latest data shows the top five countries with the highest general population are approximately:
China — over 1 billion
India — over 1 billion
U.S. — 338 million
Indonesia — 275 million
Pakistan — 235 million
The IDF Global Diabetes Atlas provides estimated and projected prevalence rates of diabetes around the world.
Its most recent data from 2021 shows that China has the largest number of adults with diabetes, aged 20–79 years, followed by India and Pakistan. Furthermore, the IDF anticipates that these countries will continue to have the largest number of people with diabetes in 2045.
China currently has 140.9 million people with diabetes, which is set to increase to 174.4 million by 2045. Experts estimate there are also 72.8 million people in China with undiagnosed diabetes.
However, the countries with the largest number of people with diabetes mentioned above do not automatically have the highest prevalence of the condition. The highest comparative prevalence rates in 2021 were reported for Pakistan (30.8%), French Polynesia (25.2%), and Kuwait (24.9%). These countries are also estimated to have the highest overall comparative diabetes prevalence in 2045.
We are a team of researchers, doctors and engineers.
- Enable continuity of care, particularly around primary health, complex or chronic diseases, and mental health and well-being.
- India
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model, but which is not yet serving anyone
A number of successful experiments are conducted with respect to sensor and electronic skin patch development, accuracy, characterization, cell line studies, bio-compatibility, biodegradability.
We are still in clinical trial stage.
I am seeking regulation and IPR strategies. I am also looking to have an subsidiary company registration in US.
- Financial (e.g. accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Monitoring & Evaluation (e.g. collecting/using data, measuring impact)
- Product / Service Distribution (e.g. delivery, logistics, expanding client base)
- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and global media)
My solution is a novel point of care diagnosis with regulation of diseases. there are many test kits available in the market. But these solutions do not help in regulation of diabetes. Our solution provides the patients with diagnosis as well as management of diabetes. The sensor used in this technology is novel and biodegradable, therefore no biomedical waste is generated. The electronic skin patch is easy to wear and self adhesive. There is no electronic skin patch for diagnosis and management of Diabetes.
