Fostering Diversity and Inclusion

I plan to solve the problem of lack of intercultural and multicultural awareness which in most cases leads to misunderstandings and lack of proper communication in communities. Lack of knowledge of cultural differences leads to suspicions and this causes lack of trust among different groups of people living in shared communities.

I am proposing creating a software that tracks demographics of populations in cities and communities and their cultures and identities. Knowing the demographics of people in cities and communities will help in the designing of educational and recreational programs than are inclusive addressing the diversity of the cities and communities. 

The creation of inclusive communities can be replicated everywhere in the world where communities are becoming more diversified and needing programs that address the issue of inclusion and communication for shared prosperity.

I am solving the problem of lack of cultural awareness and sensitivity. This is a huge problem in the cities of Massachusetts and across the world because communities are becoming more diverse. Lack of intercultural and multicultural awareness and sensitivity leads to misunderstandings and exclusion. Developing of intercultural competencies will help in the creation of cultural sensitive program and this will help in fostering inclusive communities.

This solution will serve all members of cities and other communities who will embrace the use of our innovation. Communities will easily integrate with refugees and other immigrants including students from different backgrounds and nations.

The solution includes development of a software that tracks population demographics and identities and proposes how to create inclusive communities by fostering intercultural awareness and communication.

My solution is innovative because the issue of tracking demographics for intercultural awareness and inclusion has not been put into a single technological device. Creation of this kind of software may be groundbreaking if not advancing what could be existing.

My solution proposes department of an application that tracks both demographics of populations and their cultural backgrounds. The tracking will inform administrators and other stakeholders how to design inclusive programs that take into consideration the different populations represented in cities and communities.

There is growing research on intercultural communication. Communities are becoming more diverse than before and my innovation is timely and will be a better start in addressing not only the issue of inclusion but also communication among communities.
