Common conditions in old age include hearing loss, cataracts and refractive errors, back and neck pain and osteoarthritis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, depression and dementia. As people age, they are more likely to experience several conditions at the same time.

Everyday problems for the elderly include physical health, mental health and ageism.

Old people generally don’t have a proper control of body and mind. Wandering, Falls, High Blood Pressure and low Oxygen level are some of the biggest problems affecting Old people.

There is currently no available solution to detect wandering or falls, and the topic of wandering and fall detection is still not widely discussed.

1billion elderly population above the age of 65 face this issue everyday.

Companies like Apple have included a number of functions in their watches for health-related purposes, but these watches are so pricey that the average individual can't even envision being able to purchase them. Additionally, they are not entirely concentrating on matters of health and people often are not comfortable wearing a watch all day long.

MediMax is an AI enabled portable health monitoring device for old people. MediMax monitors the person’s conditions like- Body Temperature, Pulse, Oxygen, Detects Wandering and Fall

The device’s reading can be seen on the touchscreen of the device as well as on the caregiver’s app.

MediMax constantly monitor the person’s health and if it detects any abnormal activity then it alerts the person’s family with his or her live location through a SMS

Notification will be sent on the emergency contact’s phone whenever it detects any fall of the person.

In Future we are planning to add some software in our device that can predict some diseases like Heart ailments, Diabetes etc using the device’s readings.

We plan to impact all those elderly people suffering from some diseases and make their life’s better with this pocket device. Our target population is elderly people who are suffering from disease like Alzheimer, Cancer, Diabetes etc an are looking for a sustainable solution for themselves.

Also in future we are planning to make it customizable as per the user’s need. 

Our vision is to make a pocket doctor for everyone bridging the gap between hospitals and a common person. Our goal is to become the ‘Kindle of Healthcare

I'm taking part in this contest individually. I'm an eighth-grader from DELHI, India. I am also a member of the CBSE and INTEL-created AI Students Committee. I'm interested in technology, and I want to create something that can significantly improve society and provide a solution to millions of problems. I am among those who focus more on the problem than on the solution. Future plans include starting my own business to produce tech-related goods that can be used to solve a variety of everyday issues. I'm quite interested in programming, and I'm familiar with C, PYTHON, HTML, JAVA, JAVASCRIPT, and MYSQL. In a nutshell, I love technology.

I have taken the advice of many farmers who have faced this issue and then I made my final solution design so that it won't have any negative affect.

We have made a working prototype of MediMax which can tell oxygen level, BP level, pulse rate and detect fall and wandering. We have taken the feedback of MediMax from a Old age home and were lucky to get a positive feedback.

we have not launched this device but in future we are planning to impact almost 100million elderly people.

I need funds to develop my prototype and also someone who could really help me in building my final product. Right now I am able to take only some people's advice but under the right guidance, I think that I can really understand the problem more perfectly and build a nice solution. 

Right now I am an 8th grader and I don't have any registered organization to build a final product but I know that through Solve I would get a chance to get in contact with mentors and professionals who can really guide me in making this product.

I don't have the right guidance and financial support but if I am selected as a finalist then I will surely convert this prototype into a solution because I know it is going to help make millions of people's life better.

In short, I am participating in this competition to get the right guidance and financial support.
