Blooms to Boom
We enhance quality of Fertilizer (problem) for fertlizer manufacturers (customer).
Post COVID, more and more people are becoming health conscious and deviating from inorganic and chemical fertilizers, to natural sources, hence increased demand.
The war in Ukraine has made some fertilizer sources unavailable, hence need for new economic source.
All these are regional and global problems
We solve a Seaweed supply chain (problem) for global marketplace (customer)
We leverage our innovation of incorporating Indigenous seaplants, to assist local communities cultivate Seaweed, adding to global market. This Increases coastal population’s income, which is being reduced due to climate change impacts e.g. decreasing fisheries, and coastal land use conflicts
- Capturing CO2
- Increase fisheries thanks to provision of shelter and shade for young fish
- Reduce ocean acidity and supports rebalancing the ocean’s PH levels. The imbalance caused by CO2 absorption and nitrate run-offs from farms
My innovations includes using tech smart bins for a socio-environmental conscious, beach rehabilitation. We then upcycle the algae, utilising sustainable amounts of native seaplants into biostimulant, soil conditioner and protein supplement for both animal feed and human food.
The project is focused on working with smallholder Coastal communities, mostly women, youth and indigenous groups in vulnerable coastal communities.
From conservation, beach rehabilitation and seaweed acquaculture, they will gain a long-term livelihood.
We institutionalise gender-sensitive processes and staff capacities, skills and qualifications on gender equality:
I'm a terror survivor of the 1998 US embassy bombing, in Nairobi Kenya that killed over 200 people. Precursor to 911, 3 years prior. I was in the next building that came down on us, of the 15 people in the office that day, only 5 of us got to live. I still live with effects of the blast, needing medical attention as documented by our national press
I smell like fish... and US embassy bombing collateral damage
This makes me passionate about empowerment of vulnerable, women and youth.
I retired to the Ocean for healing, which is being hampered by the blooms. By helping the Ocean and community, I'll be helping myself

From the fast growing algae we produce a biostimulant that gives 25%+ more production; because of its trace minerals, growth hormones
From the insect protein produced we get 15%+ more protein at 30% cheaper animal feed cost
From the human protein supplement that we produce, we get x2 higher protein than beef and lower total fat.
All by-products are repurposed into medium for vertical gardens that give x15 more produce, 90% less water and saves energy
Mission
Responsibly enhance healthy produce and soils while protecting the planet.
Vision
A social economic enterprise enhancing livelihoods; providing the most effective healthy produce and soil solution; making the planet better.
