Jobango ( this name will change)
My research and my thesis into creating digital economies are primarily about building digital ecosystems but also addressing current levels of economic polarization. I found ignorer to engage encourage the commercialisation of rural farmers in Africa we have to have a holistic solution. I originally came up with an idea to integrate supply networks of commodities and create a digital currency based upon utilising commodities as a traceable digital currency. However, then I scaled it back and realised the power of human capital. I have designed an integrated ecosystem that is self-sustaining which creates an economy for workers and employers but then in the back-end is more of a payment system which allows us to capitalise on human capital in terms of gamifying employment but also allows people to become banked in three clicks. The way I have designed the wireframes means that we can also implement biometric security to end modern-day slavery. With current economic polarisation, we are seeing a reduction in corporate earnings and thus a switch to one-time jobs becomes more applicable. With Jobango, any user across cultures can sign on, get a job within their location, bank their earnings in their e-wallet and trade their points which generate points based on game theory. I also created an economic analysis of how we can capture GDP within the digital economy from my submission to the Indigo Prize on why GDP is a redundant measure of productivity. For informal workers during this time Jobango will be a vital lifeline to help earn money and I would want to ensure living standards are kept so earners are paid a living wage per job. Going further, as I am a member of the British psychological society I do hope to give people tools to overcome challenges like debt, and mental health issues and provide support solutions to overcome challenges within an integrated CRM. When I got sick with CFS/me during covid ( now recovered) I realised resilience is a privilege few can afford and I know how to get back up again so I do feel as a platform it can become a community which really makes an impact in peoples lives but also provides a vital solution to current market conditions.
Jobango would be the first integrated human capital, banking and arm system which acts as a self-sustaining digital ecosystem between employers and workers. It is actively involved in commoditising the job market from the ground up. Through its unique system integration and its gamification platform which is driven by mathematical and economic theory, it allows us to turn each job earned into a tradeable digital currency. These can then eventually be banked and traded for goods and allow people to participate in the economy. We will capitalise both downstream and upstream of the job market swell as expand horizontally across product options to allow users to bank their money in kiosks and or trade points for goods too. Money earned from each user can be stalled in a e-wallet. As a strategy officer my job is to scale and I know we can eventually scale into a bank but for this moment that would not be the key focus. I also feel it really important to not disrupt banking markets with the current economy and I would rather hope to partner with banks.
People on low income, informal workers, self employed persons and people to people jobs.
The ability to bank, the ability to earn and the ability to have access to manage jobs is complex in informal settings. In a networked ecosystems these aspects can be integrated together to create a holistic market place for employment. We came up with a design which is accessible for all levels of skills and allows people to up-skill into practical applications.
The application works across cultures and across languages. Its is incredibly simple to use and a person can gain a potential to earn in three simple steps. This platform provides equity in-order to enable access to jobs but also provides an automated support framework to ensure that people who are unskilled can manage their money and find gainful employment. Utilising biometic data we are able to verify those who are displaced without the need for a home enabling them an opportunity to bank and enhance their lives. Each user has a unique authentication code which is confirmed against their facial ID, the voice and we can use key stroke detection. Matching these together means we can verify a users account.
For Governments Jobango will finally also be able to provide an ability to track workers in terms of fiscal contributions are being paid correctly for jobs that are usually cash based. It also ensures there are no illegal workers working and will put a very big stop to modern slavery. It will be the first time governments can essentially track output in a digital economy on a real time basis.
Myself: I am a strategy officer by specialism. I have worked in strategy for nearly ten years and I am due to get my charterships to CMI for this. I have done the UK space agency SetSquared Incubator programme and the MIT scale incubator programmes. I also have a unique ability in that I specialise in digital transformation and I can code. I have a fully understanding of how to build platforms, how to design wireframes and integrate the strategy from ideation to delivery.
I have a degree in business management and psychology which is approved for graduate chartership so I can finish my phd in Neuroscience eventually. Ironically I did develop a neurological illness which slowed down things a bit and I had my final sessions this May after getting sick in January 2020. All accounts and director duties were fulfilled in the meantime and all my legal obligations were taken care of for me.
In terms of being able to get back up again and understanding in full what people through when they are locum workers. I really do feel I am able to resonate. I have worked since I was fifteen in everything from a playwright, to a window dresser in a wedding shop, a bartender, a terrible waitress. I worked three maybe even four jobs whilst doing two degrees in a science and an arts and I have fallen really hard but I've also got back up again. I really do understand that life sometimes throws curveballs that you cannot control and sometimes we do need a crutch to lean on so I hope this can become a community which not only makes a huge amount of money so I can reinvest and deliver equity to enable equality but one which really gives people and opportunity to overcome their circumstances. Ive seen how workers can be mistreated and I've seen how agencies misuse workers so I do want to democratise this and give power back to workers to give them the tools to create their own opportunities. From artists to any trade worker this platform is juts so useful to gain access. There isn't access to employment like this currently and I do feel it can really help encourage living standards, help the wealth and wellbeing of workers and empower them. I also really feel as human being we have an incredible ability to adapt and reskill so I feel people can do multiple jobs across industries and engage in new employment avenues.

I've already designed all the wireframes, the mathematics and economic theory behind the ramification has been done, the MVP is ready to build and BETA. If we were to receive funding the app would be built within three months and be ready to release in September for beta 1.0. It will then be ready for full release by February.
It's at an MVP stage but I have outlined the full strategy for five years including the financials with productive channels. I do have a full strategic document which the head of a UK bank was interested in partnering with the company. I already have signed NDAS and its one of the largest UK banks. I just need £800,000 to make £2.6m in two years and then I can scale upwards. I do think globally it can reach a £24bn cap goal if the strategy is implemented correctly.
I just need £800,000 to make £2.6m in two years and then I can scale upwards.
I really tried to apply for UK funding but there's no categories that are open with Innovate UK that serve this. I did also then get sick and if I'm going to be perfectly honest with the economic polarisation at the moment the market has now aligned. Four years ago I don't think it would have been the right time but it's hit a best fit for the market at the moment. It is very C level though.
For a brief breakdown of market capture per industry Uk market
Production and manufacturing 56, 000 jobs , 22,000 jobs per week £2.810% transaction fee £280,000 per week. In one industry. the way the app is designed is that it works across industries and across cultures so its universal. It took me a few attempts to redesign it but I think it works now across cultures and industry. I have extended this analysis across industries. I have a very C level strategic document with market analysis / and a heavy financial analysis based on per capita per job availability.
It's ready to go from the design to the business models, to the UVP, to the strategy and how to scale and expand product development to the financials and income channels. This can be made available in the future. This is about 20 pages in a strategic document, but then I have the product stack too to show how it works and a wireframe design of the app. I really only need £800,000 as per financials for the MVP to get it beta tested etc. I'm not a full stack developer so I do need a little bit of help with development but i've analysed everything in terms not costs from marketing per hour/ the cost of sales per person etc down to a single £1. I've done the full PL/ EBIT for this for five years.
- Financial (e.g. accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Human Capital (e.g. sourcing talent, board development)
- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and global media)

Jobango has been designed to benefit its users by allowing users to work on real time jobs listed by time or location (especially useful in the current pandemic COVID19 environment). For employers it reduces the overhead costs by 15% and allows anyone to list a job opening up a channel of people to people jobs. The way jobango is design it sees people as having infinite capabilities. In its infancy it recognises universal skills people can adopt across industries but allows people to rapidly train in to job tasks rather than career pathways meaning they can shift across organisations.
When designing jobango we recognised this issue of displacement and banking. Often banks use home addresses in order to verify a person therefore most banked populations are median income earners. We change this by utilising bio metric data ( facial visualisation) matched with a birth certificate or any registered ID. The users data is then given a unique code which works like a lock and synthesis key and throughout their time as a user this code is theirs. For those with access to only one mobile phone it means multiple members from one family can login and log out and become banked in three simple clicks.
Whats also unique about Jobango is it enables a rewards based earning system which gamifys employment. These rewards are called Bango points which exchange like currency and can be spent or banked.
I think in terms of innovation there is a lot of maths and economic analysis around this. It also comes from a lot of experience in strategy, tech and practical experience. The company has a real opportunity to scale on a massive level with product development. I've outlined that in my strategic doc with market analysis too.
Stream 1 MVP : Create access to rapid employment and reduce economic polarisation through creating a platform. Ensure the end of slave labour through biometric ID verification and integrate with government compliance.
•Stream 2 MVP : Enable a global living wage for workers. Forced pricing mechanisms. Subscription fees for employers or people managing two or more employees
•Stream 3: Allow users the freedom to travel and work freely. Subscription for users who want to look in other locations other than their locale. Actionable results for employers.
•Stream 4 Increase productivity in local economies by Opening up rewards and gamifying employment through Bango points.
•-Rewards for earning a job, rewards for walking to work, rewards for cycling. .
•Stream 5: Empower workers to reskill and upskill. Education to unlock jobs ties in with rewards but you can also complete jobs to unlock more jobs with skill matching.practical job tasks.
•Stream 6 Provide workers with tools to help them deal with issue like debt, mental health.
•Stream 7 Bank the unbanked and democratise banking on a global scale. Business banking and Epos. Fcaial recognition to allow people to withraw at kiosks pending compliance.

I have helped with volunteering for the UN in terms of the UN refugee dictionary and I am UN volunteer. Having lived in India, lived in South Africa and seen the scales of the problems that exists swell as working in Africa and looking at rural farmers I fully understand the barriers to entry. The problems are so vast and there are key ares where you need to invest strategically inorder to create a stylised baseline for growth. Without that foundation things tend to crumble like we have seen with Sudan. Whilst it is digital Jobango provides a framework for stability and economic opportunity. Ive realised that truly the problem is market access. There just a market that acts in a way to support workers or economic growth for nations. The global goals are great and having ben a global shaper at WEF ive worked with people who also have the same mindset but we really have to enact change going forward through practical solutions. As economic polarisation gets worse and with the added threat of climate change the current solutions do not work. Countries cannot afford to give aide allocations anymore due to sovereign wealth falling below and we need to start growth at a BOP level. If we don't we could really reach a global depression.
The theory of change is by creating a self sustaining economy that allows people to become banked but it does so in a way that encourages people to level up in a way that they can learn new skills and become skilled workers. It will help informal workers with little to no skills learn new skills, earn money but it will also capture vital fiscal contributions.
We live in a society where open innovation is readily available due to technological advances. The capitalization of knowledge in an open society means that as knowledge becomes more generalist, many more people have access to this knowledge. Job tasks which require little or no skill, can be fulfilled by a number of people. Skills such as manual labour, cleaning, driving, warehouse operatives can be done by one person with a multiple range skill set. These skills are not specific to one person and people can acquire these skills rapidly. Additional skills can also be provided through learning and development. Key focus needs to be on developing new ways in which people can earn and learn.
In order to enable equality we need equity in the form of a platform to open up access to opportunities in a way that is secure, safe and reliable and which can be adopted across cultures. Jobango gives people a market for opportunity, the tools to sustain learning, to manage jobs, to earn and to be able to transact but also secures each users right to work reducing trafficking and the exploitation of labour.
Its a mobile based application with an integrated API channel. Specifically I wanted to use rails as I love rails as a platform but I tried to scope developers and its becoming really difficult to find rails developers in the UK. It most likely is easier to use Azure to develop. Due to legalisation and regulations with banking the banking payment facility with use faster payments with a master card API channel. I do not want to get into banking at this stage so API's and partnering banks are better for this. Im aware of the legislation and I think for focus it need to remain targeted whilst it scales universally and then when it reaches stage 7 in can become a bank in countries where the operating environment is controlled. I know how to build a blue screen system but for now E-wallet / arm integration and an integrated job listing front end is much easier.
I have a full tech stack.

As I did become legally registered as disabled whilst I had cfs/me I fully now understand what able privilege is. In a strange way its given me a whole new perspective I never thought about and prior to this I lead with a very ENTJ mentality. I used to be incredibly authoritarian but now I really fully understand the difficulties and challenges people go through. It made me really think about how I would incorporate this into a work place and I feel I would adopt a four week work, I would allow flexible working for parents, I would ensure there were adequate pensions, adequate life insurance for workers. I would also ensure our office is accessible. I am also dyslexic and come from an interracial family so I understand the notion of privilege and i've seen it with my own eyes on how my own privilege has worked for me in comparison to my relatives who are of colour. I would ensure our articles were very strong and our core values as a company had a zero tolerance policy on racism and discrimination. I feel if you build environments where there is no tolerance for homophobia, racism, discrimination of any kind eventually you attract the right people regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation. I do feel this has to be at the core of business and i've seen in corporate how CSR can sometimes be a marketing ploy instead of what actually happens in the company. As i've had first hand experience I would do everything I can to limit barrier to access for people and encourage equal opportunities.
In terms of delivery equity to enable equality I really do feel the app does this as its non discriminatory for users.I really would also try help within the CRM to help users too with groups etc I know when I got sick my membership to British psychological association really helped me just feel included and like I had people to talk to. I really want to emphasise community as I really feel in a world that is becoming increasingly disconnected the only way we can create profound change is by coming together to create a dialogue for change, by fostering a deep understanding and acting with compassion. In a way had I not got sick I think I probably would have been a terrible leader before. I work so hard and my work habits are not normal but I just had absolutely no understanding prior so it has really allowed me to empathise with people.

Once I have £800,000 in preseed then I can get beta done, the data will then allow me to raise £2.6m. Once that is done the company should earn around £36m after its third year and become profitable only in its second year. I have a full financial analysis for this. After that point it will be sustainable financially if the strategy is followed and it scales slowly. Its really important to me that the company scales on KPI metrics and on actual data. I have seen how companies can scale too fast and I've seen how easy it is to get carried away thinking you're going to be the next unicorn. It's really important to me this scales slowly, that things are done properly and that the company is around for the next 100 years. It's also investors time money and my own time. I do everything on metrics so I have analysed each stage according to those metrics which will be target points for BETA and product development. I am aware this is very OCD and I also know strategy never plays out in reality as it does in theory but I know how to adapt, track and change things accordingly too.

In my previous work as a strategy officer I helped secured over £30m in mandates for Invecco astra swell as secured a M and A for over £2.6m where we made £1m in profit with my role as a strategy officer at Turner group.
In terms of grant funding I can apply for seed funding once I have pressed grant funding. There is the Y combinator, Innovate UK and venture capital firms. Due my connections at CNH industrial who own Invecco I have already reached out to Exor but this is more at a preseed funding stage.
Once I have the data from BETA I should be ok to scale but I think it should just grow organically in terms of the business model. the tech isn't advanced and there wouldn't be much .0's so I think once the MVP is built it can start growing with a targeting strategy. I don't think I will need much more investment other than £800,000. £2.6m includes marketing but I can develop an organic WOM strategy myself.
As I am a CSO by trade I have asked a person to see if they would like to join as a CEO. Said person is a board member on a VC firm. I really think it would be in the best interest of the company if I remain as a CSO, it's what I am really good at. Said person has also scaled a large start up which went bust but I do think he would be best in line to be a CEO and secure funding. I just know strategically I can help reach targets but I need someone to help manage those. It's too much and whilst I can track KPIs and I will act as an MD strategically it's really important that there are two separate functions. Ive seen the impact of working beyond burnout and its leads to CFS /me and its not sustainable. So that is apart of my plan and I will be speaking to him this week.
