End World Hunger by growing Roof Gardens and connecting them together through a mobile app, providing healthy food and healthy environment to the society.
The mankind living on the planet is consuming the planet's resources and in the same time suffers from hunger and diminished resources compared to the population.
But what if mankind can change that, technology has come so far, people can connect with each other from all over the planet. Social-media in particular has proved that people has the power to change, and now we can take the social-media to the next level, uniting the whole world under one cause, to save the earth and mankind.
The idea is a mobile app based on the concept of gamification, where each user has an account and it starts like that:
1) The user gets a seed of a plant (flower, vegetable, fruit,...)
2) Plant it in pot.
3) Give it a name.
4) Register it in his account in the app with a unique ID.
5) Upload a photo of the pot with the name on it, now the user has a Green Baby and got a badge and 10 points.
6) Each time the user uploads a new photo of the plant growing from a baby to kinder-garden to school and then to college, the user gets a new badge and points.
7) Then comes the graduation, when the plant grows to a suitable level, the user takes the plant and put it in a special garden: The Green Baby Garden.
8) The garden is divided in squares each square with a number and the user puts the plant in a square, the plant now has its name and the name of the person who raised it up, now the user takes a photo and upload it and got a new badge and points.
9) These points could be used later for discounts.
Earth. Our planet. Where everyone we love and everything we cherish exist. The planet has been there for millions of years, but suddenly the planet started to get sick, the green areas which are the lungs of the planets are getting smaller and smaller each day.
The solution has various impacts on the eradication of world hunger, moreover this solution can dramatically reduce pollution specially in big cities, pollution reduction means healthier people specially children.
Mobile apps and social media are already driving the world and connecting it together, now we take that to the next level by uniting the world under one cause, to save the earth and mankind.
And since planting a seed is so easy everyone can do it, and by the gamification method of instant feedback through badges and points, people will have a great motivation to collect more points while saving the planet, it will become a real game with real results.
The impact is global, mankind can save earth in a short time, you can see how far we've come since the internet and since social media.
Also, since the app will be used by millions around the world, notifications could be sent to users for new environmental products, also on the website there could be a place for google ads. Also there will be many cooperation with organizations worldwide specially the United Nations as it gives a solution to some of the Millennium Development Goals.
