Attaining food security through irrigation
Food security & constant famines in Kenya. We also want to reduce the reliance of crop production on rain fall which has been affected because climate change.
Practicing commercial large scale farming under irrigation. We will be getting water from one of Kenya's longest and permanent rivers river Sabaki/galana. The water we will use to irrigate 5000 acres, we will be utilizing two main irrigation systems i.e. center pivot and drip irrigation systems. The main crop under irrigation will be white corn because it is Kenya's staple food while also cultivating various legumes ,vegetables ,fruits ,spices ,herbs and start Kenya's first large scale cultivation of palm trees. Our vision is to be a top cultivator of cereals and oil crops in Kenya and in the process reduce the cases of famine in Kenya .We have a mission of irrigating around 20,000 acres by the year 2030 in the expansive Galana kulalu food security project these will enable us be food sufficient and reducing food prices enabling it to be assessible to even low income households
The solution will serve Kenya citizen and the solution will impact lives by providing a stable supply of Kenya's staple food among other agricultural products and also at relatively cheaper prices. By starting the first large scale cultivation of palm trees in Kenya initially in 500 acres we will change the climate of the region and helping the country achieve objectives of the Paris agreement.
We are a youth led organization with previous experience practicing small scale farming and also experience in international trade thus transferring our experience to practice local trade . We also have a youth agronomist who while help us in the management of our activities.

- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model, but which is not yet serving anyone
Primary research have been conducted in the field and have shown that yes farming can take place in the land .The irrigation systems have also been built i.e. the center pivot system
0 now but after first season of planting our product will serve at least 1/3 of Kenya's population of 45 million as of 2019 census
To get finances and also to take the first step to address the problem that has affected many people in my country causing thousands to loss the life over the years .
- Financial (e.g. accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and global media)
- Technology (e.g. software or hardware, web development/design)
Instead of rainfall dependant agriculture we will be irrigating fields using two irrigation systems that is center pivot and drip irrigation system enabling us to have at ;least 3 planting seasons in a year as compared to the latter
To be one of Kenya's largest cultivators of cereals and palm trees. These will be achieved by irrigating the initially proposed 5000 acres and later seeking to expand the area under cultivation to at least 10,000 acres in the next 5 years.

We will measure the progress towards the impact goals by the amount of out put produced in terms of bags per 90 kg
During the past years and since i was born there have been constant drought in my country due to too much reliance on rainfall agriculture and due to climate change the rain patterns have been affected causing the rain to be unpredictable and also affecting the amount of rain received. By using the two types of irrigation and getting water from one of Kenya's longest and permanent rivers we could be able to grow cereals and our staple food all year round thus supplimenting food production in the journey to attain food security .
We will be utilizing two irrigation technology that is center pivot and drip irrigation to irrigate the fields. We will also be utilizing drone technolgy to monitor the fields because of the size of the fields

By selling the agricultural outputs that we will be providing
selling the agricultural output to wholesalers and also to consumers. By doing value addition to products produced and also start the first palm oil processing facility in Kenya after 3 years when we can harvest the palm that will be powered by solar energy
