In Bangladesh, people struggle a lot with food management issues as there is no smart and quick answer to their questions related to foods. People can't always figure out if the food that they are buying has sufficient nutritious ingredients on it. Sometimes they buy foods that are meant to worsen their specific allergy or disease and fall under a great health risk. The expiry time of the food items can seem a bit vague for them to understand as well. Neither can they keep track of everything they have in their pantry. As a result, it causes food waste and serious issues to the health. This also plays a huge part in the economic disbalance of a country.

Starting from low income countries edible food can be redistributed to food insecure populations in local communities. In the EU28, approximately 88 million tons of food are wasted annually, the associated costs of which have been estimated at €143 billion. Although reducing food waste in medium and high income countries may not directly help tackle food insecurity in low income countries, it reduces competition on limited water, land and biodiversity resources; making these resources available for everyone. Food waste is also a major component of waste going into municipal landfills, a significant source of methane. Food waste alone represents 8% of total global greenhouse.
It is also important to limit the negative impact of food waste on the environment. For example dairy products are concerned: 5.3 pounds of carbon dioxide equivalent are generated per pound of milk produced, processed, and transported globally; this represents around 3% of global greenhouse gas emissions, according to the United Nations.
Bangladesh is a third world country. It is developing day by day but many technologies still aren't used here. People mostly remember all sorts of things solely depending on their memory or write it down somewhere. Which isn't a prominent way for food management. It also puts them at a greater health risk. As they can forget the expiry dates and consume some foods that aren't suitable for eating. We've seen many cases where people end up having some major health conditions just by taking expired food.
QR codes are a huge part of industrial markets. But people don't use this technology that often. We want to make it a common field for each and every person. A quick response (QR) code is a type of barcode that can be read easily by a digital device and which stores information as a series of pixels in a square-shaped grid. QR codes are frequently used to track information about products in a supply chain and often used in marketing and advertising campaigns.
An enhancement on traditional barcodes, QR codes can store vastly more information and are used in a variety of applications from supply chain management to cryptocurrency wallet addresses.
As QR codes are now an international thing, we think people will be willing to use this in their everyday life.
