TM_ Tickets
We make ticketing easy buy providing online ticketing services and entertainment giving a chance people in Rural areas save the money for transport and access ticketing services on their mobile devices.
Many Ugandan travelers are spending money to reach Ticket Booths. During the Covid-19 pandemic, 45% of travelers could not access the Ticket Booths due to high transportation fee. 32% could not maintain the transport fee. 23% could not buy tickets worrying that since most of the time is spent with their children, the paper tickets would be either misplaced or spoiled by them.
We have made TM_Tickets an e-Ticketing application which provides virtual ticketing services. The Tickets bought can be identified using the QR/Bar code that is scanned to verify it. Its user-friendly interface also makes it easy. Easy for both rural and urban people to create accounts to be able to access the resources. After creating an account, the user will be logged in and will be able buy or sell his /her ticket according to one’s interest.
One can also pay a simple subscription to be able to access the virtual environment.
Our target population are mainly travelers in rural areas who don`t have access to TicketBooths to enable them access ticketing services so as to rise the spirit of adventure.
Outcomes of our intervention
- Enabling people to access ticketing services and save that money that would be used for transport.
- Reducing the amount of papers that could pollute the environment.
We are travelers who were affected by the lockdown due to high transportation fee. So, we came up with this idea. With the help of my mentor Teacher Solomon Bwire and assistance from our parents, our Coding group and Makerere Innovation Society plus our sister company TS SHARK INNOVATIONS Ltd we are able in position to deliver this solution.
We have done research at different Transportation Company’s like Link buses, BABY COACHES etc.
- Improving financial and economic opportunities for all (Economic Prosperity)
- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea.
The fibulas approach of providing travelers with a virtual environment for those who missed or who cannot afford the price to also attend the different functions or concerts.
- Prototyping research: This is needed so that our product meets the end user requirements. Research will take us four months in selected areas of Uganda so that we have a functional prototype.
- MVP: We have to develop a minimum viable product for the early users. This will include activities like, Data analysis and documentation, systems architecture and UMLs, Android and OS application, website development, pretesting, Company registration and IP draft and registration.
Pilot Trail: We have to carry out a pilot trail in selected regions of Uganda so that we can decide if our product is worthwhile, feasible and also get an opportunity to publish its results.
