Indonesia is the least 10 literate of 72 countries in 2021. According to Ministry of Education and culture research, on a 100-point scale, the-nations reading culture remains low on 28.5. In short, it shows communities don't value reading in a way that cultivates reading habits. In fact, many top literate countries promote reading culture and literacy engagement as the way to unfold joy in reading habits. We are trying to solve the underlying issue, the lack of reading culture in Indonesia. Adopting a reading culture is a process that takes shape in the family, starting from the child's birth to the school environment.
Parents nowadays are more aware of the importance of building a reading culture, starting with their family. Moreover, now access to books and many literacy tools is way more accessible than decades ago. Some parents feel a physical book is sometimes way too expensive. Even now, with many digital book sources, parents are puzzled about which book is suitable for their kids' age and needs.
