Wellness Microcare
Proving access to quality healthcare services to the last mile.
Nigerian local communities struggle to find medical professionals that can provide both linguistically and culturally adequate care, especially those who belong to underrepresented groups. These people also don't have health insurance, which makes it difficult for them to get medical care. They consequently have worse health outcomes, such as increased rates of chronic disease and trouble managing their illnesses.
Wellness Mirocare approaches this problem by deploying an agency model, which takes healthcare to the last mile; of people domiciled in hard-to-reach communities in Nigeria. We also developed a real-time telemedicine system that connects with backend medical professionals who helps to monitor the health vital of whoever we check in these communities. Additionally, this system offers low-cost or no-cost health insurance options to uninsured people and then uses telemedicine technology to connect patients with specialists for further care. This approach makes it easier for members of underrepresented communities to access the medical care they need, which could lead to improved health outcomes.

This solution uses a Cloud-based technology by providing healthcare providers and researchers with access to vast amounts of data and computational resources. By using cloud-based storage and computing, the microcare technology can store, manage, and analyze large amounts of patient data, including medical records, imaging studies, and genomic data. This data can be used to identify new treatment options, improve patient outcomes, and develop personalized medicine. It also enables telemedicine and remote patient monitoring, allowing healthcare providers to deliver care to patients remotely, regardless of their location. This can improve access to healthcare for patients in remote or underserved areas.
