An interactive portal for students to connect and collaborate with the industry professionals and alumni to gain real time experience and guidance.

In today's rapidly evolving world, students often find themselves in a challenging position, with little access to proper guidance and accurate information. Without this knowledge, they can easily become perplexed and make poor decisions. Out of 15.85 million people, who apply for colleges, every year, nearly 72% quoted lack of proper guidance as one of their major pain points. Being more precise, the impact of this issue is much higher when we are considering the landscape of a country like India, every year, roughly 18% of undergrad students drop out of their courses while 7% commit suicides due to unclear path.

However, what if we were to provide them with the opportunity to learn from those who have already faced similar obstacles? The experiences and insights of these individuals would be incredibly valuable to students, and would help them to better understand and navigate the complex landscape that lies ahead. Imagine the difference it would make to have a mentor who has already successfully navigated the path that students are about to embark on. Their advice and guidance would be an invaluable resource for students looking to make informed decisions and achieve their goals.

The best solution to this problem is nothing other than a proper guidance. Now the question arrives, who is going to guide. Who would be better than an Alumni, who have actually faced the same problems earlier. With the experiences of Alumni, they will be having an edge, as they would be knowing the things well. They’ll be crystal clear to make decisions regarding their future and lifestyle will be enhanced.

We are going to build an interactive website, through which, any student can ask for help and guidance, after registering. The website will include machine learning model which will help them to connect with the best suitable guide. We will use Spring Boot in the backend and Angular to build the frontend of the website. 

The key beneficiaries are students who are going to pursue higher education in a year or two. They can connect and interact with the alumni, in order to acquire proper guidance towards betterment of their future. Since the alumni, whom the student is going to interact, had already gone through the same path. This approach will ensure a candidate with a number of choices and accurate information to be rigid. Collectively, the life of the student will be enhanced.

To bring out the Alumni of different institutions and universities, we have a huge network of professionals to reach out. Our team members are skilled in web development technologies, machine learning algorithms and management expertise, for building the platform. Being seniors, we have mentored and guided a lot of juniors to have a good start. All of us have volunteered in several campaigns in several activities in our institute itself which includes Goal Setting Exercises, just 2 months back which actually benefitted the participants.

When we were freshers, we have encountered such problems that took us time to have clear vision our present. At that time, we realized that this problem is not just limited to us only. Our juniors were also into the same situation, in which we were a year earlier. That clicked as a problem statement in our minds, for which we started working on from then only. We helped as much juniors as we could. Now, we are working for helping students worldwide.

Till today, we haven't found any organization to work on this problem on a large scale. Most people have initiated but kept it limited to some specific extent only. 

We have already developed a system at a smaller scale, through with, we are helping our juniors and connecting them with alumni of our institutes.

The problem we are targeting is not just limited to a group or a community. It is being faced by a lot of people around the world. But still, there doesn't exist any rigid solution. That led us to develop a platform for all, and to help everyone. Since, the problem is not limited to any specific extent, there are no limitations for us. Also, since there aren't any previous solutions to this problem till now, who serve on a large scale, there won't be any issues in building a strong community or in technical terms, a large user base. 

First and foremost, we will be completing the development of our website. Afterwards the major things left is bringing alumni and students. To bring alumni, we will be connecting to the professors of the institutes around the country. We will promote our platform by connecting various clubs and societies that already have a robust participation and connection with students. 

Alumni can be a helping hand to them and can build a good connection with them personally which results to good placement offers ahead.

We are using the following core technologies:

1. Machine Learning for better user experience
2. Angular for best user interaction
3. Spring Boot for managing backend development
4. Blockchain for data security & encryption

All these technologies are pretty much known to everyone who is working in the IT Industry, and is heard by everyone. Afterwards, we have decided to build a mobile application too. This will provide more ease to our community members.

Currently, we are helping more than 500 students at our college. Since we are still building our website, we are limited to our college only. Once the platform is gets in public domain, we will be covering the entire country. Our goal is to reach out around 500k students by the end of year 2023.

The only barrier that may occur is marketing and publicity. In order to achieve the goal of reaching out 500k students, we have to reach as many students as we can. After launching our website, we will make two sub-teams. One will work on bringing Alumnis to our platform and the another will contribute to reach out the students.

Currently, we are working in our own institution, Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology, Dwarahat, Uttarakhand, India. Here, we are helping our juniors, organizing interactive sessions for the juniors and our respected Alumnis. 

Our platform connects university alumni and students by providing a platform for networking, career development, and mentorship opportunities. We provide alumni with the opportunity to connect with current students and recent graduates for networking and mentorship opportunities, as well as access to a database of job and internship listings. We provide students with access to a network of alumni who can provide mentorship, guidance, and job and internship opportunities. Our platform is accessible through a subscription-based model, where alumni pay a fee to access our services, while students have access to the platform for free. This model allows us to generate revenue while also providing value to our key customers and beneficiaries, who are looking for career development opportunities and connections to industry professionals.

Our path to financial sustainability involves a combination of revenue streams. Firstly, we will generate revenue through subscription-based model, where alumni pay a fee to access our services, such as job and internship listings, networking and mentorship opportunities, and other resources. Secondly, we will partner with companies and organizations to offer sponsored content, job postings, and other services that align with our mission. Thirdly, we will explore opportunities for grants and donations from foundations and other organizations that are focused on career development and networking opportunities for students and alumni. Lastly, we will consider the option of raising investment capital to support our growth and expansion. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that our revenue streams cover our expected expenses, and we will regularly review and adjust our revenue streams to ensure financial sustainability over the long term.
