PrediFy
PrediFy is a Heart disease-predicting website that can predict whether the user is having heart disease or not on the basis of just 13 medical parameters.
India is regarded as the world's capital of heart disease, which is a growing global health concern. Around 70% of heart disease cases worldwide are reported from India, and the main cause of this is that most individuals are unaware of their own heart's actual condition. It is common for people to be unaware of whether they have heart problems or not, which makes it difficult for them to seek timely medical attention, ultimately leading to cardiac arrest and even death.
The demise of well-known comedian Raju Rastogi is a prime illustration of this. When the condition was at its worst in Raju Rastogi's heart, insufficient care led to his death from cardiac arrest.
More than 60% of the population in India resides in rural areas, where access and affordability are the two main problems. People lack access to the correct hospitals, clinics, and medical professionals who can effectively and promptly predict cardiac disease. Nearly 50% of Indians fall into the middle class, which makes it difficult for them to afford the ₹2000 consultation price charged by most doctors. Additionally, a lot of people neglect to schedule timely medical examinations necessary for an accurate disease diagnosis. Most middle-class people have a tendency to desire to reduce their monthly expenses, and whether on purpose or not, most people compromise their health needs in the process.
Over 75% of the healthcare infrastructure is concentrated in metro cities, where only 27% of the total population resides—the rest 73% of the Indian population lack even basic medical facilities.
Because of this every year, more than 10 million people die in India. The lack of awareness, accessibility, and affordability are the biggest contributors to this big problem.
PrediFy is a web-based Heart Disease Predictor that can predict whether a user has heart disease or not based on just 13 medical parameters. The website's operation is fairly simple: all you need to do is to enter some medical information about yourself into the form provided on the website, and the website will analyze the given information using the ML Model linked to it to determine whether the user has any heart ailments or not. Based on PrediFy's prediction, the user would consult his or her doctor for further medication and diagnosis. This website's accuracy is 95%, making it extremely dependable.
I chose to create a website rather than a device because I believe that websites are more impactful than devices because they can be accessed from anywhere using a phone and you don't have to pay anything to use a free web, making it highly impactful and useful. Whether the user lives in rural or urban areas, they can all use our website for free to make their lives more secure.
Through PrediFy, I hope to provide smart disease diagnosis that is affordable and accessible to all underprivileged people.
I developed this idea after gaining a knowledge of how most people think, and I can guarantee that, with the appropriate direction, PrediFy will entirely digitalize the healthcare sector.
My goal is to reduce the number of deaths from heart disease by nearly 70%.

People in rural areas generally have less access to healthcare than their urban counterparts. In rural areas, lack of efficient healthcare providers and facilities results in less preventative care and slower emergency response times. Healthcare is the right of every individual, but the lack of quality infrastructure including medical facilities, medical functionaries, and inaccessibility to essential medicines affects rural healthcare in India.
As we know that nowadays everyone is owning a phone whether the person is rich or poor, lives either in rural areas or urban areas, and therefore has access to all free apps and websites making our website very accessible to everyone. The website is free of cost making it affordable for all and I think an invention is a real solution only when it is accessible and affordable to all. Our target population is those who are not having access to the right hospitals, clinics, and doctors and also those who are unwilling to pay ₹2000 as a consultation fee.
Many companies have created numerous products to solve this problem, but these products are so expensive that middle-class people cannot even imagine using them, and this problem exists not only in India but in many other countries as well. Only 10% of Indians can buy these devices, but what about the other 90% of the population?
Because our website is free, no one will be hesitant to use it. In short, we are aiming for people from the middle and lower classes and rural areas. By filling the gap between hospitals and the general public and serving them with this creative strategy, we are aiming to reach roughly 50% of the middle-class Indian population by the next few years.
This website will contribute to the accessibility and affordability of healthcare institutions and allow them to do a simple 2-minute heart disease diagnosis.
Because over 70% of doctors practice in rural regions without enough facilities or equipment, our website can also be used as a tool to help doctors diagnose patients accurately and quickly.
I'm taking part in this contest individually. I'm an eighth-grader from DELHI, India. I am also a member of the CBSE and INTEL-created AI Students Committee. I'm interested in technology, and I want to create something that can significantly improve society and provide a solution to millions of problems. I am among those who focus more on problem than on the solution. Future plans include starting my own business to produce tech-related goods that can be used to solve a variety of everyday issues. I'm quite interested in programming, and I'm familiar with C, PYTHON, HTML, JAVA, JAVASCRIPT, and MYSQL. In a nutshell, I love technology.
I have taken the advice of some general physicians and my friends and got positive feedback about this website. Based on feedback from some of the users, I tried to make this website more User friendly and tried to increase its accuracy. I do not currently have a domain for my website, but I will undoubtedly do so in the future.
I also made an effort to comprehend the reasons why many people don't even get a medical checkup and why people lack access to healthcare services.
The only reason I created this website was to address the issue of cardiac arrest deaths in India, which are on the rise due to a lack of timely access to effective treatment. Most middle-class people want to reduce their monthly expenses, and many do so either on purpose or unwittingly by compromising their demands for health care. Many companies have made numerous products to solve this problem but the issue is that these devices are so expensive that middle-classed people can't even imagine using them and this problem is not only in India but in many other countries also.
After understanding the mindset of most people we came up with the idea of PrediFy 'an affordable, accessible, and sustainable solution to heart disease.'
- Improving healthcare access and health outcomes; and reducing and ultimately eliminating health disparities (Health)
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model
As we know that nowadays everyone is owning a phone and has access to all free apps and websites making our website accessible to all. Compared to devices, I think websites and apps are a better way to make a big social impact. My vision is to digitalize the Healthcare Industry and make it accessible and affordable for all and through PrediFy I am pretty sure that we will surely accomplish this in the near future.
In India, it is a tendency of most people that they want to minimize their expenses and in this process, knowingly or unknowingly most people compromise their health needs. Many tech giants have made numerous products but the issue is that these products are so expensive that a middle-class person can't even imagine affording them.
To solve this problem we found an innovative way of using websites for the use of heart disease diagnosis.
My vision is to expand this website so widely that even medical professionals would use it as a tool to predict heart disease and would recommend it to their patients.
Future research will expand beyond heart disease to include other illnesses like diabetes, Alzheimer's, and other conditions.
First I made an ML model to predict heart disease, then I made a template for my website and designed it then finally I launched it using a flask on my local server.
- Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
- Big Data
- Software and Mobile Applications
We have not launched our Website yet but in the near future, we are planning to impact almost 100 million people and especially those who are not financially stable.
The only drawback to this website is that the user needs to be having his or her medical information that needs to be filled in the form given on the website.
