Nuestras raíces
Fomento de los saberes indígenas específicamente aprendemos de ellos mientras vemos su arte, alimentación y prácticas para su rutina diaria.
In Mexico There are around 68 indigenous villages, which over the years have been relegated by society, having different customs and languages. When they leave their towns looking for a better quality of life, they find themselves with few opportunities and are forced to forget what makes up their identity.
This means that around 23 million people find as a solution to the low quality of life in their towns, the possibility of going to the big cities of the country and adapting to the language, dress and way of life, without the possibility of following their culture, causing the country to lose a new language or tradition from time to time.
The indigenous peoples in our country are talented and have a management of nature and life in general that only they develop, hence when they arrive in the cities with their crafts all people want to buy, however, in our country people tend to try to pay less than the value of each piece, getting a discount even though the sellers do not get as such a profit.
21.6% indigenous consider that it is necessary to take into account that both poverty and marginalization are elements that are always accompanied when talking about indigenous peoples. The marginal indigenous population cannot get good jobs even in the city, so they may end up selling sweets on the streets or begging for money.
El pozo indígena pThe indigenous people could well stay in their towns and improve their quality of life there, however, they hardly have monetary support because the money that the government can allocate to these communities it does not reach the intended population.
My project is a cafeteria, gallery and study center, all in one. To explain myself better i will go point by point, the cafeteria would be all inspired by drinks and food that is eaten by indigenous peoples. The idea is that each food offered in the cafeteria will be made with ingredients and recipes from each indigenous community, this of course will represent two things, the first is that the food will be natural, without preservatives or pesticides and the second is that the flavors of each region will be valued as gourmets.
In the gallery, the indigenous art that we find in each community will be exhibited, this will be from handmade clothing, to paintings, sculptures and anything made by the same artisans, each work will hace an audio description of the artisan about the meaning of this and the materials used, this description will be in their native language to promote the languages of our country.
Finally, in our study center we will create courses or workshops with the indigenous people themselves so that they teach those who want to learn about different topics, it can be from cooking courses, learn to weave, create paintings from scratch, learn a language, learn to make poems, learn about the stars from the indigenous perspective or anything that can be learned from these communities.
For the advancement of this project, many indigenous communities will be visited in search of making agreements so that artisans and farmers provide us with their food, knowledge and art for we offer it in the project and the profits will be divided so that each community that participates will benefit from the profits and they do not have the need to leave their towns, in addition to improving the living conditions of the participating communities.
My project will work hand in hand with various indigenous communities, who are relegated and have little support from the government or society in general. In this project we will work with their products and we will be a means of sale, In addition to that we will promote the learning of techniques or languages that each community has, not to mention that we will also promote a diet more based on all the products that they themselves indigenous people have in their communities.
By creating job opportunities with good profit margins for indigenous people, they will be able to choose to stay in their communities and improve them, without having to go out and look for resources in the big cities.
I am currently studying my last year in psychology which keeps me sensitive to different problems, sadly in almost every corner of the city you can find women Indigenous people with their children begging for money or selling sweets, the help that anyone can provide them is little compared to what they surely need, even though I am not part of a Ethnicity, if I am familiar with the needs and the idea of poverty as part of the daily life of an average family in our country.
None since this is hardly an idea that i have been formulating about 4 months ago.
- Other: Addressing an unmet social, environmental, or economic need not covered in the four dimensions above.
- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea.
Everything original is currently in fashion and the opportunities to romanticize certain activities, like going out with friends or a partner, discovering new places, learning things just for the sake of showing what they have learned on social networks. That is why if we provide more than one activity at affordable prices people will visit the space and be able to romanticize their indigenous roots, something that is not normally done, in addition to the fact that when buying in an established place they will not seek to lower prices as they do with the indigenous artisans who sell their products in the streets.
I hope to exalt the traditions and customs of all the ethnic groups that make up our country, through the senses, using art, food and the opportunity to learn new things.
Everything is based on ancestral technology, that is, everything that the indigenous communities have learned over the years thanks to generations of each ethnic group.

I would expect to serve at least 5 indigenous communities in the first year.
I don't have the resources to move around the country and make agreements with each community, nor do I have the command of several languages to be able to communicate and I only count on getting translators Or people who speak Spanish in these communities, it is necessary to get a property large enough for all the planned activities to be carried out there.
None, it's just my idea for now
Products of all kinds such as food, courses, clothing, among others, would be offered.
Mexico needs this type of establishment as a way to exalt our ethnic roots.
The project would be based entirely on the sale of products and services.
