Additionally, the cost of obtaining healthcare services is prohibitively high due to the distance factor, as many individuals have to travel long distances to access the services. This is further compounded by the fact that many primary and secondary healthcare centers, as well as telehealth platforms, do not have the required rehabilitation services within their systems.

In Nigeria, healthcare experiences huge disparities, and rehabilitation has been a major overlooked aspect. The high disability rates and the cost of care are enormous, especially in the global south. Rehabify's goal is to provide a solution that addresses the shortage of healthcare providers and the problems patients face when it comes to accessing healthcare services. With an estimated population of 200 million people in Nigeria, and with an estimated 1 in 5 people experiencing chronic pain at point prevalence, the need for rehabilitation services is at an all-time high. Rehabify provides a solution that would bridge the gap between the need and the service and help to improve the overall health and quality of life for many individuals in need.

The platform, which is designed to cater to individuals suffering from musculoskeletal and neurological injuries, offers an automated assessment and diagnostic tool to help physiotherapists quickly and accurately diagnose patients. This significantly reduces the burden of long wait periods, which is a major issue faced by many patients in Nigeria due to the shortage of physiotherapists.

We have conducted extensive research with potential research including focus groups and interviews to understand the needs of the population we will be serving. We also volunteer and lead teams at existing advocacy organizations working on rehabilitation and recovery to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in the rehabilitation process. Additionally, we have engaged potential users in the design and development of the Rehabify solution to ensure that it addresses their needs effectively. Since ideation, we have taken a user-centered approach to understand the needs of the population (physiotherapists and patients) that we will be serving.

Our impact goal for the next year is to successfully launch and implement the Rehabify platform in Nigeria, and to begin serving at least 5,000 individuals in need of rehabilitation services. We also aim to reduce the recovery time for patients by 30%, achieve a 90% satisfaction rate among users of our platform, and secure partnerships with at least 20 healthcare facilities in Nigeria to expand our reach and impact. 

In order to achieve this goal, we will

1. Work closely with our team of physiotherapists and healthcare professionals to ensure that the platform is fully functional and user-friendly.  

2. Conduct targeted marketing and outreach campaigns to raise awareness of our platform and its capabilities among individuals in need of rehabilitation services.

3. Continuously gather feedback from users to improve our platform and services, and to ensure a high level of satisfaction.

4. Develop relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare industry, including hospitals, clinics, and physiotherapy practices, to establish partnerships and expand the reach of our platform.

5. Continuously conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends in healthcare to ensure that we are offering the most advanced and innovative solutions to our users.

Rehabify uses a combination of cutting-edge technologies to power its solution. Our platform is built on a telerehabilitation platform that allows patients to access our services remotely via our website. This platform is integrated with an automated diagnosis tool that uses machine learning algorithms to accurately assess patients' conditions and provide personalized treatment plans. Additionally, we will also provide pre-recorded exercise videos as part of our treatment plans to aid in the rehabilitation process. These videos will be created by our team of physical therapists and are tailored to the specific needs of each patient. The platform also includes a secure video conferencing feature that allows patients to consult with their physical therapists remotely. Currently, our solution, Rehabify, has not yet been launched and is currently in its prototype stage. However, in the next year, we plan to serve at least 5,000 individuals directly and meaningfully through our telerehabilitation platform. This includes individuals recovering from injuries or illnesses who require rehabilitation services but face barriers to accessing them such as those living in underserved areas, those with mobility limitations, and those who cannot afford traditional in-person rehabilitation services. Our goal is to increase this number to 10,000 individuals within the next three years through continued market research, user engagement, and partnerships with local healthcare providers.

We understand that there are some barriers that may limit our impact in the next year. The lack of funding is a major concern, as providing rehabilitation healthcare is costly, and we may not be able to scale our solution and reach a larger population without sufficient funding. Another barrier that we face is the lack of awareness and understanding of telerehabilitation among healthcare providers. Many providers are still not fully aware of the potential benefits of telerehabilitation and may not fully understand how to bill for it, making it difficult for patients to access our services.

In addition, we may face regulatory barriers in the healthcare industry, as it is heavily regulated and it can be challenging to navigate the various laws and regulations that apply to telerehabilitation. This can make it difficult to bring our solution to market and scale it effectively. Lastly, there could be technical barriers such as the need for reliable internet access for patients to use our platform. This could limit the accessibility of our solution for patients in rural areas.

However, our team is determined to overcome these barriers through targeted marketing efforts and education about the benefits of telerehabilitation. We are also planning to conduct studies to further validate the effectiveness of our solution, which will help to overcome resistance from healthcare providers. Additionally, we are also exploring alternative solutions such as offline modes for our platform that can help overcome the issue of internet access. We also plan on reaching out to potential partners and investors that could provide the necessary funding and support to bring our solution to scale. Our goal is to serve at least 5,000 patients in the next year and to continue expanding our reach in the following years.

Rehabify does not have any active partnerships with organizations. However, we are actively seeking out potential partners in the healthcare industry, such as hospitals and clinics, as well as other telehealth providers, to expand the reach and accessibility of our solution. We also plan to collaborate with academic institutions to conduct research on the effectiveness of our solution and to support our efforts in educating healthcare providers about the benefits of telerehabilitation. We intend to work with these organizations through a combination of joint marketing efforts, co-developing, and co-implementing programs, sharing resources and knowledge, and joining forces on research and advocacy initiatives.

Our business model is centered around providing a comprehensive telerehabilitation platform that connects patients with qualified physiotherapists for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation services. Our platform offers an automated assessment and diagnostic tool, pre-recorded therapy exercise programs, and appointment reminders to support patients in achieving a quick recovery.

To provide these services, we charge patients a subscription fee for access to the platform, which includes access to the automated diagnostic tool, therapy exercises, and consultations with physiotherapists. Additionally, we also offer a pay-per-session option for patients who may not require ongoing access to the platform. We also offer enterprise subscriptions to rehabilitation centers and healthcare providers, which allow them to provide telerehabilitation services to their patients.

We plan to offer different pricing plans for individuals and organizations, making our services accessible to a wide range of customers. Another source of revenue will be from grants and investments. We will actively seek out funding opportunities to support the development and scaling of our solution. Furthermore, we also plan to monetize our platform through the sale of advertisement space to rehabilitation-related businesses and products. Our goal is to create a sustainable business model that will allow us to continue to improve the lives of our patients and grow our impact in the future.

Additionally, the team plans to expand the solution to other countries, which will increase the number of patients they can serve and bring in additional revenue.
