app/website/hotline connecting medical-students & their colleges to people incase of emergency or road-rage-accidents with a system that will help them gain experience as-well-as be graded & honoured for their service
I am trying to reduce the number of deaths occurring due to lack of first aid and immediate help to the victim. in India - 1,55,622 deaths occurred in 2022 alone due to road accidents. there are many factors such as drunk driving, over-speeding, etc which contribute to this large statistics.
The amount of medical students in India is huge and I believe if we involve every one of them we can easily cover every corner of India and with the app and location tracking, a student can easily reach the area of accident within a given time and help the patient. doing that, the victim will be carefully examined & treated by the capable hands of the medical student rather than the passerby. and the medical students will also be given a live opportunity to use what they've learnt and know as to why our country needs them. and with the distribution of credits and award by the government for the student with maximum credits at the end of the year, many students will be motivated to study diligently and be the change they want to see.
in front of the humongous population of India i.e. 140.76 crores(as of 2021), the number 1,55,622 might seem like a small one however when one person dies, that one person has a family who loves them, depends on them and are affected in many ways than what we can predict. the one person who died might be the only person who earns in the household which means when he dies the other people in their family are indirectly killed.
I plan to create a web portal & hotline number that connects medical students, their colleges & people who require immediate medical attention. when called/opened, a number of questions will be displayed/asked. according to their answers, level of attention required will be determined and qualified students will be sent a notification. Through the app, medical colleges and the students will be linked and the student profiles will be made by their respective colleges. except for the time not available, the students will have to keep their location on. All the students in location nearby to the location of accident will be notified. they'll be given a chance to accept or reject to be there to accompany the patient till the hospital. if they accept, they'll have to reach the location of accident and they will be awarded credits depending upon the type of help they were.
the target population are medical students and people of all age who need medical attention. by accepting, the students will have to reach the location where their help is required and they'll have an opportunity to practise first aid and what they learnt first hand along with learning to take patient history.
I don't have a team yet.
I choose to solve these problem because, I've seen many accidents till date and where I was squeamish of the blood and stayed away other people reached forward to help. while the thought to help is appreciated. common folks aren't necessarily aware of many things todays students know. there have been many cases where the patient dies before they could reach the hospital, where the patient died due to lack of first aid and improper movement of the patients body while carrying them to the hospital. I want to change that.
on the other hand, I want to provide an opportunity for the medical students, to give them a chance to learn assisting patient, taking patient history, etc. give them something to hold on to for the tough 5 years of MBBS life.
no, I haven't yet done research with potential users
no existing organization is currently working on this problem
no, the solution is currently just in the ideation & research stage
- Improving healthcare access and health outcomes; and reducing and ultimately eliminating health disparities (Health)
- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea.
I expect it to lessen the number of deaths and increase the experience of our medical students all the while providing them with opportunities such that they won't have to go abroad to find them. I want India to be self dependent on its own. and not just be called the manufacturer of man force for the advancement of other countries.
my solution provides a new approach to the problem as I'm not asking people to drink less, not drive when drunk, not overspeed. while that is the logical thing to do, we all are aware that unless someone familial dies due to it or has an accident, the said person is invincible to accident or anything similar. if you'll keep police with alcohol level detector on the road, then people won't stop consuming alcohol due to it, they'll just find another route they can travel through. while we will keep educating about the dangers of drunk driving, speeding, etc it is going to take some time for people to understand what they are risking. so, my solution is the damage control for it all. lives are important, no matter the persons wealth, character, etc is.
for the next year, I want to find someone to guide me and a team who is equally passionate, for this is just an idea I envision. I am aware of the various loopholes you could find in it.
everything about my solution is dependent on the technology for that is how the students, universities and people in need of immediate help will be able to join the server. we will be using the location technology for detecting the student nearest to the site of accident.

the lakhs of current medical students in India and their colleges and the victims of road accidents
very first thing, I don't have a website or app or hotline number, I need to establish a successful business plan first then work on the all other aspects and co-ordinate with all the colleges all over India to support us and convince them the benefits of this project. I also need a team and enough funds to make it possible.
the business is a G2B
it will provide value to the populations by providing immediate service in times of emergency to their loved ones
the key customer is the government
and the beneficiary is the population of the country
the services will be provided by 2nd year onwards medical students and a team of appointed doctors
the money to fund the project will be brought in by donations and selling services to government
