I used the wastes of plastic, rubber and foam to make bricks because these wastes very harmful to the environment and it is also good insulation to water and environment
World faces many problems, which affect human health, especially problem of non-recyclable materials such as waste foam, plastic and rubber which exist with large amounts and comes from daily wasted usage, as there is a high percentage in the world. Rubber takes 1000 years to decompose and is also harmful to the environment if it is disposed of by burning or throwing it into water streams. This is the same case for foam and plastic, so it is proposed to recycle these materials to get rid of their anti- environment effects benefit from their potential recycle uses. So, we decided to use them to make cement bricks by mixing them with some other materials (Cement, rock wool, glassy wool, gravel and sand). And we make the brick in the puzzle shape so we can easily construct buildings without need of more cement The product was tested twice to ensure that it meets the design requirements. In the first test we did mistakes that make the results unsatisfactory for us, so the feedback control system which is
Automatic Digital Weight that turned the brick to the process again if its weight is higher than the standard. So, in the second test, we correct this mistake and did the test in housing and building national research center and fortunately the results were very good that achieved the design requirement which is to have high strength, light weight, heat insulation, fire resistance, eco-friendly, safe and easy for human use.
our idea is to use waste in building materials, so we used the waste of rubber, foam and plastic, as these materials cause great harm because they need thousands of years to decompose, and also if they are disposed of by burning them, they emit toxic gases and these gases harm the environment. These materials also have many advantages for use in the manufacture of bricks, as rubber will make the brick with compressive strength, heat resistance, and waterproofing, foam and Plastic (PE-HD,PS) will make the brick have heat resistance. In addition, the foam reduces the sound and weight. We added some materials to make the brick like fixed amounts of Cement, gravel, Water, and sand as we mixed all these components with cement. We also make the brick in the shape like a puzzle so that we can build a wall easily without the need for more cement to hold the bricks together. Then we tested the brick and We make our test in Housing and Building National Center.
The weight of our brick is 2Kg while the standard weight of the brick was 3.6Kg and this means that our brick has a weight that is 1.6kg lighter than the standard bricks. Then we tested the hardness and the result was 6.8N/mm^2 while the standard hardness of the brick from 5 to 7N/mm^2. Also we tested the thermal conductivity and the result was 0.482W/m^2.k while the thermal conductivity of the standard brick was 1.25W/m^2.k and this mean that our bricks insulate more heat than ordinary bricks, and this will help to reduce the use of electricity to cool buildings, which will help to reduce the amount of emitted CO2?that get out of the house, as for every kilowatt, half a kilo of CO2 is emitted to the atmosphere.
This solution will help many people and countries because it will rid us of waste by using it in the manufacture of a product that is more efficient and also all people can do this project in their homes because it is easy and it will also protect the environment and also insulate heat, which will reduce the use of electricity to cool places, which It will reduce carbon dioxide coming out of homes
I have a distinguished team as we are in excellent schools. These schools taught us a lot and we gained a lot of skills, which made us look at the world with a better view, which is how to protect our planet and everything.
firstly I understood the challenge and what the cases of it to solve it and i found that the hard wastes is the first case of the climate change so i decided to recycle them but before that i searched about the advantages of these materials to make a high efficiency product and I found that these materials insulate the heat and water so i made from them bricks. After that when i maxed the materials and the mold dried it tested the bricks to be sure that it insulate the heat ti reduce the carbon dioxide that will get out from the building because we will use less electricity to cool the building because the bricks insulate the heat

Challenges are found everywhere, and Egypt is suffering from many of them. However, we must help solve these problems. Some of the grand challenges which Egypt suffer from are the impact of climate change, pollution and overpopulation. In our project, we are suggesting a solution for a main problem that faces Egypt which is recycling garbage so to solve this problem we researched about the most waste is harmful to the environment and there is a large amount of it that is not recycled and goes not decompose and we found that the rubber and foam are one of the most harmful waste to the environment and there were solutions to solve this problem, but the amount of these materials is very large, as it was not possible completely recycle them, so we decided to use this material with other materials in the manufacture of bricks to make isolated bricks as these materials are heat insulators, after we know what the materials we will use in the mixture of the bricks, we started to design the shape the bricks according to our design requirements as we chose a shape that is easy to install and makes the bricks hold together more, this shape looks like puzzle, after we made the brick we tested it to make sure that it suitable for using in the building.
My goal is to apply this project every where and to do this i will spread this idea between the people to apply it
We mixed the materials that include the sand, gravel, water, cement, foam, rubber, mineral wool and glass wool and poured the mixture into our mold that takes the shape of a puzzle and the dimension of it are 25*6*12 after that we let it to dry to be able to test it to make sure that the brick is suitable for use in the building. After we did the test for the bricks and get a good result we used the Automatic Digital Weighing scale to be the feedback control system of our process as it can measure the weight of the brick and make sure that the weight of every brick is the same to the weight that we set it and if the weight is less or more than the standard it will take it back to the first process.
