One Tap Health Screening System for Healthcare Equity
IoT equipped, cost-effective, portable and clinical-grade spot check monitor that enables primary and preventive healthcare accessibility equally efficiently out of rural and remote settings, enabling tele-medicine and AI-based disease alerts.
We solve one main problem - Healthcare inequity across the Indian region. As we aim towards bringing equitable healthcare accessibility we induce three sub-solutions - 1: Making healthcare more easily accessible in India into the rural and remote region, 2: Making health tests more cost-effective and affordable, 3: Making healthcare easy to use for all genders and groups.
We cater to almost 70% of total Indian population (roughly 900 million citizens) that reside in rural parts of the country that experiences lack of proper connectivity to nearest hospitals which remains one of the biggest problems. A commutation of minimum 1-3 hours is averaged along with high expenses borne as this group attempts to access a basic consultation or doctor's opinion. This group also due to lack of easy consultation access realizes their health deficits usually once the disease reaches a severe level contributing to increased deaths due to undiagnosed/severe stage diseases.
Secondly, this case of healthcare inaccessibility affects women and children more prominently than men in this region due to reasons such as healthcare unaffordability, seeking spouse's permission to access healthcare, lack of disease and health awareness etc further affecting pre-natal women.
Third, healthcare affordability becomes one of the most worrisome topics for this group as they end up spending more than an average urban based Indian family who has easy connectivity to healthcare infrastructure.
Abhay Parimiti is a portable, IoT enabled, Non-invasive and Indigenous medical apparatus that provides rural health centers, fever clinics, Tier II and III hospitals with a one tap complete health screening report of the patient. It screens for 6 major body vitals: SPO2 levels - Blood Pressure - Respiratory Rate - Pulse Rate - Body Temperature - Heart rate variability and even optional ECG (6 leads) in just 30 seconds with a continuous finger-touch with the device. The captured raw data is then fired to online servers through M2M/GSM technology where over 700 biomarkers are extracted. Further these are used to enable electronic medical records and AI based health alerts for pre-diabetes and hemoglobin deficiencies. It is designed to work even in low bandwidth/remote areas through our novel deployment. Our system is patented and is India's first ever muti-disease prognosis system.

1: This system shall help bring easy disease detection and health tests at fingertips of rural India. Our solution shall work even out of rural and remote settings and provide underprivileged population of India with instant primary and preventive health screening accessibility i.e. connecting villagers instantly to Public Health Centers miles away from them. Through this apparatus healthcare infrastructure can be extended without deploying any further resources, this portable packed-in-a-briefcase unit can go village to village and screen hundreds of patients in a day. We in the same technology propose add on detection of Hemoglobin, Diabetes, Cardiac and Respiratory ailments that can be taken as an indication to opt for detailed investigation further. This massively improves the lives of the group which was earlier unable to access healthcare infrastructure easily or had to spend a lot out of pocket to do so.
2: This technology will help rural women and aanganbadi workers become financially independent: The solution is an easy-to-use medical product that can be operated by unskilled labor too. This provides an opportunity for women in India to become a prominent part in digital health screening as they will further also be able to generate a portion of earnings through mass health screening and contribute towards the goal of healthcare equity. Rural women in India are a marginalized group, this innovation massively and dramatically uplifts their current condition.
3: Healthcare equity: This technology deployed with low resources can help bridge the gap of healthcare infrastructure shortcomings. This system will expand the healthcare reach of existing hospitals to villages nearby it as well helping India achieve equitable healthcare access.
Our team constitutes of advisors who have worked in the rural and remote areas for years as first hand doctors. Our team involves professionals well versed in Public health, cost-effective medical device delivery and manufacturing, health screening - testing and treatment. Our associations with leading medical device parks in India give us an advantage to develop a more relatable solution for the target landscape with desired and expected accuracy.
The founders Saniya Jeswani and Lokant jain have tied up with most senior doctors in India, rural telemedicine center providers and also various hospitals to closely understand and record more ways of helping this particular group. Lokant jain, the CTO and Co-founder himself coming from a background where his sister suffered from juvenile rheumatic arthritis and his family finding it difficult to access treatment as his dad was often posted in rural cities as a public servant, holds a firsthand experience in understanding the core problems of connectivity and lack of extended nodes of healthcare architecture.
The core startup team has worked in understanding the true market needs via volunteering and free pilots as they screened thousands of patients during COVID and helped health centers/rural fever clinics get equipped with instant health screening and medicine delivery. Today our study includes more than a million health scans across various rural and underprivileged landscapes of India and over 70+ devices placed in pilots.
- Improving healthcare access and health outcomes; and reducing and ultimately eliminating health disparities (Health)
- Pilot: An organization deploying a tested product, service, or business model in at least one community
Abhay Parimiti is a Health-Tech innovation that is a more portable and easier to use multi-parameter monitor. It escapes the barrier of working only out of a clinical setting and reaches all OPDs, Health centers, fever clinics even rural and remote settings. It is unique as in just 1 finger placement it non-invasively records all 5 body vitals i.e. Blood Pressure, Pulse Rate, Heartrate Variability, SPO2 levels, Respiratory rate even body temperature. A similar system does not exist in the Indian market or landscape. Our system is patented, completely made in India and is first ever multi-disease prognosis system that is truly trained for the masses of India.
It is a sustainable medical device that India can rely on for absorbing less resources in terms of electricity, packaging and operation. It requires no consumables whatsoever and enables digital tests.
It is truly catalytic as it removes the dependency on a paramedic, or the need of 5 different devices to record/monitor the body vitals. It breaks the barrier of healthcare inaccessibility and is capable of extending the current healthcare infrastructure without much investment. This system encourages the underprivileged groups to become self-sustainable and connect to Public health centers miles away from them with this high impact and low resource consuming system.
1: Connect and equip every village in India through this node extending system. Every town, without the burden of building a hospital/clinic will be able to access doctor's consultation through this system placed in a budget friendly rural tele-medicine center. With our partners we bring down the cost of setting up a clinic like this by manifolds as our all-in-one system does it all and is easily integrable with other existing technologies.
2: Preventative Health alerts with Mass Health screening! One in every 6 diabetic patients across the globe is an Indian, the hemoglobin deficiency in Indian women is conspicuous, with this system in the next year we aim to screen atleast 10% of the total target population and alert them of these potential diseases they might develop.
We use optical sensors - PPG technology to record over 3000 samples of blood flow per second of the patient non-invasively. With our proprietary ML algorithms, we remove any external affecting factors that might be created due to different skin tones, ambient lightning, environmental temperature etc and produce a uniform method of extracting volumetric changes in blood.
Once the health data is recorded an electronic health record is created and the information is then sent to our online servers where with AI and ML algorithms, we predict onset of various diseases.

In just a 70 device pilot we have been able to impact over 250,000 lives! We aim to deploy atleast 5000 devices by next year and multiple the impact created by manifolds. As the system is tailor made for mass adoption our focus lies in screening as many citizens we can.
Our solution can potentially impact and help over 900 million Indians, to support this kind of impact we believe we lack at adequate resources, market study, technology deployment from the sole perspective of adoption at such a bulk scale.
1: AMTZ - India's only Internationally recognized MedTech Park that specializes in building cost-effective medical solutions for the underprivileged communities and Indian groups. A medical park that is equipped with all designing, testing, manufacturing and validating resources and labs.
2: NOKIA India (Bangalore)- A leading telecom service and solution provider that helps us in identifying network bandwidths of these low resource regions and helping us in equipping operations of our technology even in limited bandwidths.
We sell the system to hospitals, health centers, OPDs, private clinics as a multi-utility equipment and after a small one-time purchase fee (starting USD 100$) we further charge software AMC and per test fee. Our device is used to monitor and digitally store the health record of patients stepping in for consultations in OPDs/private clinics taking only 30 second per user each. We end up increasing the bandwidth of doctor's consultations as we provide a detailed body vital report within seconds allowing the doctor to screen multiple patients in less time as the device produces triage for them. In a tier II or III hospital, a more expensive multi-parameter monitor can be replaced with our system and monitor multiple patients beds due to its unique portability and ease of use, it helps these hospitals access more systematic records with minimum resources and manpower.
As our digital tests are highly cost-effective and require no consumables, our most promising source of income is projected through our service on top of our hardware. Our gross margins for the hardware being 35%; and close to 70% gross margins observed in digital tests - we look at a steady source of service-based revenue in future.
As an example of the use case: we sell the hardware system for USD 100$ and then charge a minor 5$ fee for 100 pre-diabetes indicator tests, these tests are good enough for the doctor to order a detailed diagnostic investigative report, the customer now ends up spending only a small amount of money towards the predictive test instead of detailed diagnostics that he might not even require, and the doctor can price the charge of this predictive test within his consultation fee.
1: Grants - Being a high social impact solution, a revenue stream is generated through government grants. We have recently been able to secure a grant of USD $122655 by the Indian government to help us stregthen our research and give us a better bandwidth of free deployments.
2: Revenue - We also sell the system to Public health centers, B2C users, Hospitals for multiple bed/patient management and gather a source of income. This becomes our primary mode of revenue as our solution solves a big problem for this market too.
3: Fundraising - Our startup actively raises funds as we prepare for our market launch or a scale-up.
