Anti-Corruption App

The app helps in reducing corruption at grass root level by taking people at the topmost concern.

India records the highest rate of bribery and use of personal links to access public services such as healthcare and education in Asia, according to a survey released by global civil society Transparency International. India has the highest overall bribery rate (39%) and the highest rate of citizens using personal connections (46%), following India, Indonesia and China have the second and third highest rates of people using personal connections with 36% and 32% respectively says the report titled “Global Corruption Barometer – Asia”. The growing corruption over the years has hindered the socio-economic development of the country, the growth rate is also not at the level at which it can be.

My solution is a app. The app, just like any social media app will contain all information about the government officers, politicians and people living in a region. Everyone is expected to make an account in it. If any officer tries to ask for a bribe or any such dishonest practices to any person, then that person can go to the app, open the account of that specific officer and can report such incident to the government. During elections, the political leader are generally known for practicing some corrupt activities to either buy out votes, control on pooling booths. Election Commissioners have the power during elections to punish them for such activities, so through the app voters can convey the information to the election commissioner.

The problem of corruption mainly affects the poor people who are not able to pay such bribes and also not able to get basic services by the government to sustain their livelihood. The app will help people to be aware of such issues and report them to the government.

I am high school student and over the past few years I have witnessed the problem of corruption very keenly. It has a lot more consequences in our social, economical and political life. 

Currently, the idea is being processed and researched. Very sooner or later it can be used as an app to people, to get peoples' review about the solution.
