Bicara AI
With an AI-powered app, we are democratizing communication and public speaking up-skilling for Indonesia underserved community.
Meet my twin sister, Bela, a 24 years old girl with Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Despite her excellence in undergraduate school such as achieving summa cum laude GPA, she could not achieve her dream to be a professional writer and live abroad due to lack of communication skills, let alone the English speaking skill.
Right after her graduation, it was hard for her landing her dream job since not passing the interview section. One reason of this is her ADHD made her avoid eye contact with anyone who talk with her.
Not only did she often drive her parents mad because of her inability to articulate a message clearly, I can feel that she is desperate to make friends, moreover if she wants to live her best life.
She is not alone, there are millions of people worldwide who also have been diagnosed with ADHD with the prevalence of 2.2% in children and 2.8% in adults.
As her twin sister, I want to help her with my technical skills and my passion in AI gained from Computer Science major during my undergraduate study. Therefore my team and I built Bicara AI (bicaraai.com), an AI-powered web platform to help anyone especially people with ADHD improve their communication skills and make impactful ones without having to attend in-person workshop.
In order to succeed in career, public speaking skill plays an importany role. Nonetheless, ADHD community who can’t even manage their interpersonal skills are not able to compete in today’s challenge. Moreover, millions of people worldwide have been diagnosed with ADHD with the prevalence of 2.2% in children and 2.8% in adults.
As a twin sister whose the twin diagnosed with ADHD, I am feeling deeply how it felt being her roommate and since I was graduated from undergraduate school in Computer Science, I have developed my passion in AI since day one as freshman. Moreover with my internship experience as AI research engineer in a reputable university in Thailand, computer vision would be best method in addressing my twin sister’s problem. My team is a group of talented juniors who are skillful in UI/UX, frontend and backend.
Before we built our MVP or prototype, we already have several discussion with communication experts. One of them is a lecturer in Public Relation institute.
