Green Crops and Vegetables

 Aims to cultivate crops and vegetables in Namibia's northern regions. Since these people are the most affected, the project will progressively supply food to hostels, jails, hospitals, orphanages, non-profit organizations. 

We are trying to raise our Agricultural sector in Namibia since we just depend on other countries for food (crops and vegetables). We want our community to start producing their own food rather than depending on other countries. When Namibia was hit by Corona virus, we have suffered and even people cannot afford to by melons which was needed to boost immune system. This issue has affected the whole country not only my community. Thousands of people are affected by this problem since it is only few farmers that are involved in Agriculture. Lack of support from government, lack of education on Agriculture. 

Hydroponic farming which will be pruducing food throughout the year. Food will be available all times, and even if another virus or hunger hit Namibia again, we will be ready, we will be prepared. Therefore, crops and vegetables in Namibia will not be available on seasons anymore but anytime. Growing crops and vegetables is the main solution to the problem. Hydroponic farming works with electricity and only water as well as organic Fertilizers. It does not require land as gardens. 

The project will not only target our community but the entire northern part of Namibia since these are the most people affected by this issue.  Most of the hostels affected are also located at the northern part, that is why, the large population is affected. This issue has affected both people, women and men, children and elderly and orphans. This solution will surely meet the basic needs of these people (providing food). It will surely prepare them if any crisis such as drought, flood hit the country again, they will have food available.

We have grown up at villages were our parents are subsistence farmers. We were raised on how to grow crops and vegetables on our own,this is where I have gained the experiences in addition, to formal experiences I gained in school. I have mangoes and guavas in the house, these do not only feed my household but also little children in the community by distributing fruits to their houses. Since I can give the small I produce I have hope that if I grow that big garden, I can serve alot of people. I do not only distribute to young children but also to elders in the community. I sometimes make a small event for the young ones where they use to have fun, in the shade of a marura tree behind our house. Did not only gave me experiences but also prepared me to be whom I want to be for my community. This has helped me understand that we do not only need to serve the nation when we have millions but if you have something to eat, you can also give it to others that need it. I have learnt that my wants is sometimes needs to other people.

Yes, we did with She Rebuilds The World offered by Riga Technical University,which has made us pitch on our idea. I never worked or volunteered myself before with the organization dealing with this problem except the Organization that serves street and vulnerable children. We didn't engage them yet, because we didn't finalize our program. 

Our solution of growing crops and vegetables is a nique idea and what makes it to be more different is that, it will be donating food staffs to street kids, hostels, prisons, hospitals, elders and orphanages unlike other projects that only focuses on income and recruit people only with qualifications. This project will surely create job opportunities to youths even those without qualifications since this is their idea. The solution will not only generate income but also reduce economic crisis in terms of finances since there will be no more importing crops and vegetables in our country. This will also raise back the ideas of farming as it was taught in us by our great parents. We will be the supplier of our retailers, vendors and local businesses in our country. This idea will not change the market automatically since food is now at demands and this made them expensive. This has made it tough for poor people to afford food in our country. If this idea comes into reality, everywhere you go, you will be finding people growing their crops and vegetables,amd most people will also start to businesses of manufacturing those products. This will not only boost up the country's economy but also will give Namibia a rank nationwide. 

The impact goals for our project is to find true investors who can assist us to implement our ideas. This will be achieved by still writing requests nd never give up. Being courageous will assist us meet those interested in our idea and sponsor our project. Cultivate a marketing presence to reach new partners and investors.

Since our project mean to grow crops and vegetables, we will be producing food throughout the year, not only seasonal. This will be done only through Hydroponic Farming,this is indoor farming that will be producing food throughout the year. This is already technology by itself. If our project grows as it our goal, we will be using seed technology to enhance our project. 

The number of people that will be served by this solution is approximately 1568.

We have developed the solution to the main problem in Namibia,but we have tried to write letters to many offices, yet non of them gave us ear. Non of our leaders have responded to our requests, that's why finances is the main barrier to implement our idea into reality. Cultural is not the barrier to this solution at all, because most people affected by this issue is the  Vambo people and that is where our project will be located. Market is not also the barrier because we will be the only farmers that will produce fresh crops and vegetables since they don't travel long distances.

Agri Bank-this is the organization that has responded to our request and promised to sponsor 10% of our startup capital. 

The primary products that our people will receive is food (crops and vegetables). We will be providing such to our people by growing crops and vegetables as it is the primary aim of this project. Food is the basic need of every person even though nowadays people are disadvantaged due to corruption in our countries. 

We will be bringing money onto our project by selling our products to retailers, vendors and local businesses. We will be also fundraising so we raise funds for our project. We will do combination of all such as service contracts to government, raising investment capital and grants.
