Our research has proven that most fund raising campaign organizations seem to deny access to African residents seeking help. This makes it difficult for poor people from the region to seek help or fund their projects. Our platform wants to be a domestic Organization where locals can donate to each other with ease or raise campaigns with ease.  

We further noticed that there are charitable Africans residing in Africa who wish to donate to help reduce poverty, curable illness and empower livelihood of the marginalized but can’t do so because there isn’t any local means of donations. Our platform mitigates all the worries. This in the long run reduces the burden imposed on foreign countries for assistance. Our payment or withdrawal method focuses on mobile transaction methods such as Mobile Money in Ghana and Nigeria, Master Pay in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Kenya etc. 

Basically, the people we intend reaching out to are people of diverse race and culture around the globe especially Africa. Those who are unemployed, prone to crime, street children and anybody seeking to acquire financially freedom from benevolent people or donors. Such people include;

• Video Security Authentication; One of the major questions posed to us by potential donors is how to differentiate a fake and genuine campaign especially with Africa and Ghana noted for scamming activities. Even in advanced countries and platforms like GoFundMe, KickStarter etc do not have much monitoring tools as such. DonorsJoint is using a modernized way of using WhatsApp Video calls to contact every campaign owner, engage him in interview about his campaign as well as requesting to have a look at the beneficiaries’ cause of funding.  This will give us a true understanding of the cause of funding and the real Identity of the campaigner which then we decide to approve or Ban the campaign. This service by far isn’t available to any of our competitors both locally and internationally

DonorsJoint allows users to create their profile with which they can raise money. During this process, members can describe their fundraising intention and the amount they hope to raise, and upload photos or video. Once the Profile is created, DonorsJoint allows users to share their project or profile with people through integrated social network links (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) and email. People can then donate to a user's cause through the profile link created using Mobile Money, a debit card or credit card, PayPal and track the progress of their funding

DonorsJoint is a web based establishments that make use of the internet to accrue revenues on behalf of the needy to pursue a cause that would be beneficial to the public or a particular group of people. In a nutshell, our overall Goal is not to be successful in terms of self-seeking wealth creation, but to be a success when it comes to giving value to the groups of people who need to raise fund to pursue a cause.

• Investors and African entrepreneurs who use crowdfunding platforms are operating in an unregulated space, at least in most African countries  This raises two issues. First, the absence of regulation means an absence of adequate investor protections. Without laws to protect privacy, mandate disclosures and ensure that contributors have opportunities for legal redress, investors may not sufficiently trust an entrepreneur to fund his or her venture. By contrast, in the United States, Title III of the JOBS Act regulates equity crowdfunding and permits companies to issue securities through crowdfunding platforms. U.S. law requires would-be crowdfunders to make substantive disclosures that provide investors with information. Similar disclosure rules in African nations would enable investors to make informed decisions and potentially improve investor confidence. The lack of clarity about the legal status of African crowdfunding organizations risks causing a chilling effect for international investors

• In order to encourage more crowdfunding, governments need to mitigate concerns about money laundering and fraud.
• Moreover, most equity or debt crowdfunding organizations in Africa are not licensed as financial services companies. As a result, some investors are concerned that they are running afoul of laws when making contributions. Regardless of whether a given crowdfunding platform, company or investor is actually breaching any laws in a given country, there is widespread investor concern about either being defrauded or inadvertently breaking the law. Crowdfunding platforms can do relatively little on their own to dispel these concerns; African governments would benefit from enacting clear laws on crowdfunding so that investors and donors can achieve clarity on how to make contributions legally.

Sustaining the organizations can be truly difficult for obvious reasons at the start up stage. The fact that we will depend on donors and investors for grants and donations to execute their projects and also to maintain the facility and workforce means that we must always be on their toes if we want to continue to stay afloat.

We have been able to identify reasons why Funding organizations closes shop or remain redundant and we have mapped out strategies that will help us overcome these challenges. In the bid to continue to stay afloat, we will run ads on our website to generate funds from internet advertisements.

Aside, we will also deduct a 5 percent from fundraisers’ account upon withdrawal. This will in the long run cushion our financial base and sustain us in operating.  We have also perfected strategies to build relationships and networks around big time donors (corporate donors and individuals (philanthropic) the world. Maintaining large overheads can be financially demanding for the organizations, which is why we have put structures and processes in place that will help us conveniently work with volunteers and interns on various projects and even in our office operations

Starting a fund raising industry especially in the initial stage can be truly challenging especially when you don’t have the needed connection to access funds required to kick start the project. We are aware of these challenges, which is why we are seeking support from donors. 

When it comes to calculating the cost of starting a Fund raising platform especially internet based, there are some key factors that should serve as a guide. The most important is security issues which are why an advanced programming module needs to be employed in place.
