PEOPLE'S step to RECYCLE Plastic

Giving people REWARD in exchange of putting SORTED plastic waste in our smart bins, so that this sorted plastic waste can be easily RECYCLED.

Its difficult to sort different types of plastic from garbage.

Sorting plastic is more complicated than any other recyclable material because it comes in a greater range of forms.People throw almost all kinds of plastic in the garbage without thinking anything. When that garbage goes to recycling, they are sorted there, it costs a lot of time and money to do this. Which is our only mistake, we do not sort the plastic and throw it in the dustbin. Many people throw plastic on the road and other places too. It is very difficult to collect and sort all these plastics.

Less than 10% of plastic waste generated globally has been recycled so far. A somewhat larger portion (12%) has been incinerated and the rest has simply ended up in landfills and our oceans. Inefficient sorting of plastic from garbage is the main reason of same.

Approx 8 million tons of waste plastic enter the Earth's oceans every year, causing damage to the aquatic ecosystem and forming large ocean garbage patches.A growing body of evidence points to the health risks posed by plastic additives. These include endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), which are linked to infertility, obesity, diabetes, prostate or breast cancer, among others.

People are not serious regarding plastic recycling, they don't support recycling campaign. They don't have interest in recycling of plastic because they don't get benefit from them directly. Industries don't care about public health they dump plastic wherever they want. People also don't try to segregate the different types of plastic and give it for recycling.

Sorting different types of plastic from garbage takes lots of time and money due to which very few organisation come forward in such work.Which results in weak demand from manufactures, who fear that they have to invest large amount of capital on sorting of plastic from garbage.People also lose hope regarding plastic recycling that it is too much difficult and they cannot do this.

Globally 360 million tonnes of plastic were produced in 2018. The EU produced 62 million tonnes, but just 9.4m tonnes were collected for recycling in its member states.Between 2019 and 2020, there was a 5.7% overall decrease in plastics recovered for recycling in the U.S. That is the equivalent of 290 million pounds.Of the 40 million tons of plastic waste generated in the U.S. in 2021, only 5% to 6% — or about two million tons — was recycled.Every hour, 2.5 million plastic bottles are thrown away in the U.S Approx 36% of all plastic produced is used to create packaging, 85% of which ends up in landfills.The total bottle recycling rate for 2020 was 27.2%, down from 28.7% in 2019. Between 75 and 199 million tons of plastic are currently in our oceans. Globally, we produce about 400 million tons of plastic waste yearly.

Our aim is to encourage people regarding plastic recycling by giving them rewards when they put sorted plastic in dustbins.

There will be smart dustbins with signs (hdpe,pet,etc) on it consisting of 7 bins which will have space for accumulating those 7 types of plastic waste and sensors which will sense the type of plastic from sign printed on that particular plastic waste. After that cap of that dustbin will open to which the sign matches and people can throw that plastic waste in it and they will be rewarded. Like this the those seven types of plastic can be sorted by itself. Once in a week plastic waste management can collect those sorted plastic from dustbin and recycle it easily.

When wrong type of plastic is thrown in the dustbin it will automatically dispense out without any reward to that person. Due to the reward scheme in exchange of sorted plastic waste, people will develop a habit to throw plastic in the correct dustbin instead of throwing it and mixing with other plastics in the garbage. Rarely if the plastic type is unknown then it should be thrown in a separate dustbin which will be further sorted by the management. People living in house , people who have habit to throw plastic outside places would also think that instead of throwing that plastic into garbage let throw it into dustbin and get reward. This reward scheme will be also applicable for industries which produces plastic waste. The reward system consists of an unique QR code for everyone in an app and whenever they put any plastic in the dustbins the scanners situated there would scan that QR code and he/she will be rewarded. 

We are targeting the whole world everyone who is suffering from this problem like humans, land animals, birds, aquatic animals etc. All of them wants to get solution for this problem as soon as possible. Animals don't want to eat plastics which is spread everywhere, people also wants clean area where they live, aquatic animals also want that there ocean should not be contaminated with plastic. Humans are using different inefficient techniques to sort different types of plastic from garbage like using machineries, manforce but still they didn't succeed. Still approx 90 to 91% of plastic is not recycled.

 Our solution will encourage people to come forward for recycling of plastic since we are solving the problem from its root. The thing in which people get reward (money) they get attracted towards it more. This habit will help us to achieve our goal of collecting more and more sorted plastic waste. This solution will help them in both the way they will also get some amount of money and they will also get rid of plastic waste around them. This solution will help plastic waste management to recycle plastic more effectively and will save their time. The rate of plastic recycling will increase. More and more companies will be ready to buy the sorted plastic waste and produce recycled material.

  I would be happy to share my life experience with you.

  I am from India. I was born in a lower middle class family. My father is an unarmed security guard and my mother is a housewife. Since childhood, I was very curious to know about technology, machines, robots and all those things. I used to open remote control cars and other electronic products that I got from my neighbor. During my school days, I applied and won many competitions in which many people around me appreciated me. My parents also supported me in this curricular activities but not much. I also tried a variety of things that I got from my neighbors or my nearest junkyard.

Life goes on like this and I was very good in studies till 10th standard but after covid and lockdown everything changed in my life. I got a mobile phone in 11th standard and currently I am studying in 12th standard, in these two to three years smartphone has changed my life, it has given me a chance to expand my passion. Throughout the lockdown, I used my smartphone to gain knowledge, develop myself, etc. instead of watching entertaining videos. Yes, it is also true that I did not pay much attention to my studies, but I used to focus on my passion to grow it to a great extent. I also started a YouTube channel. Since childhood, I have been curious to find solutions to the problems I see around me. During lock down I went to my village there I saw crops get destroyed due to flood and drought and then I started researching and found a solution which was my first project and this is my second project.

So far this year I have mainly focused on my passion rather than studies as India's education system is not good but I was studying as much as I needed to. It doesn't mean that I don't like study, I like to read from the bottom of my heart, but I want to read each and every concept clearly, want to know how to apply each and every concept in our daily life. How to solve problems around you by studying things in your books. That's why I started acquiring external knowledge instead of bookish knowledge. My dream is to invent as many solutions as I can and give it to the world. I don't want much money from it, I will probably license my invention to some companies. But not for free at all because people disrespect free things and they forget about the inventor. I also have friends but not best friend. Because yet I didn't find anyone to be as my best friend. I feel sad when people try to destroy the environment, water resources, trees, etc. around us. But I cannot do much at my level. I am very disciplined and teach others to be disciplined. Whenever I see water flowing from the tap unnecessarily, I immediately turn it off. According to people I am disciplined and good hearted.

Since this solution is at Idea stage no big steps have been taken or no prototype had developed till now. But we have done conversation with many peoples and they also have given their opinion that they will definitely come forward if such solution is implemented in our society. With respect to this idea they only argue about the reward that the reward should be at that level which should attract the people towards it i.e. enough money should be given to the people who submit the plastic waste.

In short we have accumulated that much data which is enough to prove this solution successful in community. 

This solution is definitely different from other solution which are present in market. Because in this we have solve the problem from its root I mean people don't have habit throw plastic waste in dustbin but if we give them reward for doing so they would definitely habitual.

After implementing this project in few years only we can be able to see the changes in plastic recycling rates. Plastic recycling rate will increase after implementing this solution. It can be achieved by planting more and more smart Bins at every place instead of placing normal bins. Since they will be rewarded instantly in their wallet they will use these smart Bins only.

No new technology's are used in this solution only the existing one is used but in different way. Sensors will be present to detect the type of plastic from sin printed on that plastic and after that lead of that dustbin will open to which the sign matches. In short AI. We are also using app Technology for reward system.

As I told you before I am not going to do business with this invention I want to licence it and sell to some company.
