GreatWorld - No more pressing problems unresolved, together
Many problems can be solved by collective open brainstorming because very different points of view create true innovation. New ideas may combine the thinkers in a startup business, which automatically has an engaged and raving audience (that may contribute to fund the discussed ideas implementation).
To make discussions and actions inclusive, people that join those public threads should have professional skills. Massive Open Online Courses are widespreading but having personal questions answered while studying is more effective for learning. So if many volunteers solve doubts of who can't pay education, poverty can be defeated by work of unpriviledged people in those StartUps.
With an online list of problems/ideas posts, anyone (after a proper, even free, training help) can contribute and join squads of other solvers-entrepreneurs.
New markets and effective job placements would be created everywhere. Also, common sense or health tips can be deployed anywhere, especially in vulnerable communities.

Startups majorly fail because they don't solve an issue people feel. Numerical measures associated to clear exigencies simplifies the evaluation of audiences. If lists of needs are public, many contributors are involved through posting comments and could create a startup from the successful ones, without any requirement as they only have to leverage their personal experience.
To support communities in designing and determining solutions around critical services or intrinsic methodologies (with global impact, like technical or economical distruptive improvements), the platform taps into global knowledge and intrinsically rewards those who propose the most voted ideas creating a new solid venture.
This tool (here how it works) would help StartUps from the Ideation phase, giving a solid problem to work on and secure an audience or some initial funding. This reduces a lot the risk of failure!
Massive availability of the best educational digital training and possibility to receive answers from educated global citizens for free (as the burden of tuition is divided between all the international volunteers) contribute to ensure that all citizens can overcome barriers to civic participation and inclusion, as people are empowered to become more educated. Lastly, a global Q&A list will be open to reduce replication of answers.

An effective way for a poor to overcome poverty is to be trained and find or create a job. But if vulnerable people/communities cannot go online to express their challenges or points of view and receive training, cheap internet solutions (like BRCK) or local "GWhubs" are necessary. Those structures, that will be acquired or founded, are places with internet connection where psychologists or teachers can directly help.
Community Health Workers can be trained for free (or cheaply) and assisted from remote.
Also Wannabe entrepreneurs (Wantrapreneurs) that would find "the idea" at the base of the business they want to pursue for life, can find meaningful and impactful themes to work on and concretize.
Professionals can teach and increase their authority having a measurable impact and be certified as experts (if they host or improve a course).

Global crowdsourcing cooperation is key (thanks to the Internet).
The platform that hosts the Educational resources (with the list of personal questions that vulnerable students post) is linked to the Problems/idea collector platform. In this way, people that comment has a trusted and public trace of its effort and achievements, to be more credible in startup's members recruitment.
Also, translations can be made by any bilingual to increase content accessibility.
Many StartUps can born even from a single thread, as each has different constraints that make unique the request and influence the answers, favoring competitive market.
However, businesses that favour sustainability decisions or have UN SDGs at their core are spotted or highlighted, to be a reference.
The problems that are evaluated as most pressing are reposted on boards that represent greater geographical areas (if they are conceptually linked to a locality or culture), so they have more visibility.
It can be used for (practical or scientific) divulgative options, like the ultimate recycling or sustainability tips.
Businesses should follow Benefit Corporations values, to be recognized as more impactful, to be supported or be a leading example. So there'd be a section to showcase them and how their choices can be replicated or adapted by similar organizations that operates in any other location. Anyone can contribute to think how to fit best those innovations to different contexts.
- Support communities in designing and determining solutions around critical services
- Ensure all citizens can overcome barriers to civic participation and inclusion
- Pilot
- New application of an existing technology
It empowers ANYONE that has internet access! And valorizes even small contributions, so even in spare time of one or two minutes, your contribution (a reaction after reading a problem/idea post or answer a question that thanks to your education appears very simple to you) can help a lot even uneducated people.
The innovative (but not very used) method of Google Crowdsource app will be applied in GuruWorld platform to serve who can't receive an education thanks to trained people around the world.
Also, social media like Reddit are not suitable for a categories/geographical list of posts, so we've developed a new interface and culture for this in Great Ways to Solve platform (actually in beta test on Nolt.io).
It may adopt Solid project for privacy and Intellectual Property of some ideas.
Key uses are:
¹ Discover new solutions or how they can be adopted in many specific cases, while possibility contribute to explain how
² Increase authority demonstrating even to the world your engine and possibly find a job on a solid startup
³ Receive learning tips or mentoring for free from many volunteers (who can increase professional authority to ²)
⁴ Concrete contribution to local & global community & society innovation through smartphones, anytime. Effective against poverty, so to many other issues (health insurance, proper nutrition, quality edu and gender equality almost automatically reached) to reach UN 17 SDGs faster.
Nolt.io is a feedback platform website that we adjust to fit our exigencies of an open public list of posts that can be upvoted or downvoted.
It could integrate Blockchain to validate the owner of a patentable idea or to protect intellectual property.
Big Data analysis will be required when posts will become too many.
Google Crowdsource app permits to insert content or validate Google data (comments from YouTube, Maps, ..), image recognition or text extraction and validation of translations. Also, permits with a daily notification on the smartphone to choose one of three choices to a question (usually to recognize which emotion is expressed between sad, neutral and happy). This last method would be used (with more frequency) to make people answer or validate other people's answers to GuruWorld students questions.

Also, some volunteers can translate posts that poor people write in their native language to English and other can validate the translation.
GuruWorld can become a tool for NGOs that operates in poor countries to be supported by global population in education workforce.

Open brainstorming on the collection of most pressing problems of a community (and the entire world) is the perfect fit to support communities in designing and determining solutions, especially around critical services.
Massively distributed education ensures all citizens can overcome barriers to civic participation and augment their inclusion, as knowledgeable people are empowered.
Also, any type of work can be learned anywhere, so jobs like Community Health Workers or Engineering can be massively covered (leaving the time and condition to people to learn).
These platforms solve exactly those two exigencies.

We've reached one hundred users in the posts (counting the partners ThinQubator and Houston.do) but not linked yet to GuruWorld.
Until next year I would consolidate the business model and have a considerable onboard of users that point out both hot social or methodological problems and creative ideas so that many new social enterprises could be launched.
We trust (maybe it's an hazard) that users fill the lists with high quality User Generated Content and that spirit of collaboration can unite some people to create new (solid) ventures from brainstormed solutions.
Also, that not-yet-educated people that can access the internet can benefit from GuruWorld crowdsourcing.
In five years, that the ecosystem perfectly works and have created and supported many businesses, at least in most poor countries (after Universal Internet Coverage has reached them) to have the most significant difference!
Actual challenges are:
- Self-sustained business model to be validated (we don't know if featuring BCorps or other responsible businesses goes against market law or if it can be enough for the future expenses of scaling)
- Too few users are active in the partners' platform and too few social challenges have been addressed or emerged
- Internet access is not universal, and the outsiders are the one who would benefit most of the Crowdsourcing
- Phisical hubs are difficult to build and manage by remote and need high level of trust in the local appointee
- It's not easy to select the best courses
Intrinsecally with the choice of an online platform, it's impossible to solve issues like:
- Feed or give shelter, food and health to extremely poor people while they're learning is not doable from remote
- Help children or elders or whoever can't express its thoughts as cannot speak or write on a virtual keyboard (their language can be translated with Google Translate or some volunteers)
Next five years will be challenging for:
- Blockchain and Big Data Total integration
- A.I. that processes comments and posts with mayor upvotes in each geographical board
The number of users will increase and GuruWorld platform will be developed if the solution continue to be advertised and reaches maturity in the business plan.
We'll select most critical geographical areas (like India, Bangladesh, Congo, Nigeria and Ethiopia) and create there GWhubs, shelters with internet access to spread culture and create job opportunities.
Blockchain is actually difficult to be implemented in the platform, we need guidance about it and understand the usefulness or link with Intellectual Property defense. Giovanni will talk to Tim Berners-Lee for his Solid project possible integration on July 25 at CampusParty Italia 3.
The user experience of the apps will make this technology inclusive, so anyone can receive the benefit and can easily contribute with comments and answers/live chat.
- Hybrid of for-profit and nonprofit
We're currently a team of 3, the founder is full-time, the co-founders are part-time.
We're trying to cover this (expanding) roles structure:
- Management
- Technical
- Businesses development
- Anti-spam administrators or trusted volunteers (will be replaced by advanced A.I. bots) both for GuruWorld and GWtS (Great-Ways-to-Solve)
All under30, we're conscious of global and sustainability issues, how startups works and have some few recognitions on other personal projects and studies.
Some people love this pilot and would be more involved if user-base becomes higher. Others would collaborate as staff if it'll be necessary to moderate.
We're dedicated to create social improvements at global scale!
We've been inspired by last words "working together", so we try to realize it online!
The platform itself shouldn't require constant IT development or maintenance, so only two informatics engineers are enough (one is the founder). Marketing and strategy is what we constantly do to be always more inclusive and appealing.
We've tried to develop multi-sector skills and one main specialization (jack of all trades and master of one!) to fully interact with each other. And to understand at least partially the exigencies of each role, to know who we have to call for help.
Motivation and megalomania are even too high! :)
We're ready to handle and lead a mass-scale cooperation of squads to brainstorm or even solve grand challenges!
Also we're sure that many others, even more adult and experienced individuals will want to join. Even Corporations or (local) Government representative.
During this Call4Ideas, we've encountered many other young motivated and skilled people, so we're partnering and onboarding them.
GWtS section is partnering with ThinQubator app, Houston.do and Alphabits.app for the post aggregation.
It'll begin with
For GuruWorld, we're partnering with the NGO Education Without Borders. We plan also to collaborate with Google (Google.org and Crowdsource), Ekal Vidyalaya, VillageEnterprise.org, BRCK gateways kit to ensure internet connection, KitKit School, Wearebeam.org and learneverything.xyz
Also, new collaboration with Solve MIT candidates in this section Ricardo Dhrubo and Landon Thomas are born, even if they've Concepts :)
We're creating a community of motivated people that want to highlight the most pressing and diffused challenges to cooperate on finding solutions with the help of everyone.
Best practices than can be diffused or adapted in every locality, to enhance lives of citizens.
We integrated a PEST and SWOT analysis
Service Subsidization Model
It's also like a Self-help + Asset Model: Social service is available for the target group with the hope of their own means, productive input, satisfy their own need + target employed to produce commercial products for customers because they have special capabilities.
Like unpriviledged people receive education and Social Enterprises would acquire long-term offers (give jobs, ..) making unemployed people to work or teach to somebody else.
Users have only to receive value (best methods or ideas, sustainable products indications by GWtS or job education and opportunities from GuruWorld) and provide feedbacks, votes or answers. So the only source of money can come from Enterprises (or StartUp incubators) that take advantage of the platforms outcomes, so donations are not the main source.
Joining in squads that decide to concretize certain proposed ideas (from a thread), startuppers can be ready for valuable incubation in dedicated structures. A part of the services those accelerators give can translate in a monetary offer to the platform.
Also, if those funds won't cover all the expenses, StartUps that born from this platform will pay a dynamic fee, which will decrease while other startups are created, as contributors will increase but costs won't. This incentives the creation of more startups.
This project aims to be a self-sustained Nonprofit at a global scale.
To make this possible, the costs of ICT architecture like the main social media have to be covered.
Any business activity can contribute in multiple ways:
- paying to post a challenge, so they can do open innovation at a global scale and assume/reward who contribute the most
- paying to be promoted (if BCorps or certified like that, even after this open innovation path) around their locality. They can scale always broader or in their specific industry sector category, spending here part of their media budget.
- if they're born from the platform, they can voluntary donate a monthly or annual fee
If it's not enough, we'll sell advanced filter&analytics software for detailed market analysis.
Or take a % from donations of backers to the startup teams (like many crowdfunding platforms do).
Or ask contribution from governments and distribute excesses to worthy solution-thinkers-in-need.
We need to have many people involved to make the service effective:
- many citizens have to validate problems and idea, to understand which are the real exigencies and have many points of view / creative answers that have to be validated too
- GuruWorld students work well if their questions are answered well and as fast as possible. With many "digital mentors" this would be possible.
Solve can help us to be known to many with a good rate of trust and solid validation of the model.
Also, can give us suggestions to make a greater social impact!
This idea has reached the top 10 best proposals to be presented to Sir Tim Berners-Lee at CampusParty Italia on July 25!

A.I. text analysis will be important to create quantified global markets trends from the posts with geotag or category and fight spam on the User Generated Content.
Also, ML can help to suggest to who seek for employees/partners to be matched with suggested profiles that fit their vacant position.
Empower women have been demonstrated to be one of the best solutions to increase family and community welfare.
This platform ecosystem exponentially increase their empowerment giving them access to knowledge (or lessons even in their mestrual period, a leading cause of female students to leave school, like Saathi reports) and job opportunities (there's no discrimination, because only merit counts).
The only requisite for them is to have access to the Internet (maybe with BRCK Off-grid internet kit).
In addition to the Guru World features discussed before, this new use of the sistem behind Google Crowdsouce app can allow to refugees to learn jobs trainings for free
