Sweely
Sweely solves 2 main social issues:
1. Weak involvement of volunteers in social projects and non-profit organizations across the world.
2. Nonprofit organizations need volunteers, but they're hard to motivate.
2. Business can’t participate in solving social issues without funding money. Some businesses can’t afford such spending.
Web-platform sweely.org provides a place where everyone can help to solve social issues and receive a reward (points) for it!
For volunteers we offer an easy and fun way to engage with volunteering opportunities - we motivate people to perform volunteer work via rewards in points on the platform.
Businesses can participate in a new sponsor’s activity. They can propose their resources (goods and services) to the platform and get rewards for that in social points.
If Sweely is scaled globally, approach to solving social problems of society will be changed. Everyone will have the power to change the world for the better!
Non-profit organizations and initiatives need volunteers and resources to realize their social projects. It’s difficult to find the necessary assistance for them.
According to the UN statistics the quantity of volunteers that want to work falls every year, but the percentage of work that organizations are ready to offer is growing.
We can explain the weak involvement of volunteers in social projects and non-profit organizations across the world. There is no motivation for them except the basic desire to help those in need. And there is a theory that nobody can help as volunteer, I mean, gratuitously, for more than one year, because they fade. Also, little-known social initiatives do not have access to a volunteer base and it’s difficult for them to encourage people to help.
Also, every social project, NPO, or social initiative needs resources to realize their projects. But it is difficult for them to obtain money for this purpose, because many companies - potential sponsors - haven’t enough money, but they have unused resources (goods and services).
At the same time, businesses can’t participate in solving social issues without funding money. Some businesses can’t afford such spending, and there is no other possibility to help.
We have 3 key audiences of this project: volunteers (people who want to help others), Nonprofits (that create social projects) and Sponsors (who want to participate in solving social issues). And we solve their needs.
Every social project, NPO, or social initiative needs resources to realize their projects.
Some businesses want to help NPOs but can’t afford such spending, and there is no other possibility to help.
Volunteers need a new motivation system to help social projects.

HOW IT WORKS?
For volunteers we offer an easy and fun way to engage with volunteering opportunities - on the platform we motivate people to perform volunteer work via rewards in social points. Volunteers help social projects, provided by non-profit organizations. Then they get social points, which they can spend on charity or spend on resources from Sponsors on the platform.

Businesses can participate in a new sponsor’s activity. They can propose their resources (goods and services) to the platform and get rewards for that in social points. Anyone who needs one of these resources transfer points and get them! Then they can spend points for charity or for resources from other Sponsors on the platform.
(Watch our video for Sponsors!)
Non-profit organizations create social projects, find volunteers easily, find necessary resources from Sponsors for social points.
We use a sharing economy system and points gamification to motivate people to act actively and help more organisations across the world.
- Support communities in designing and determining solutions around critical services
- Prototype
- New application of an existing technology
Sweely is a new app that brings together 3 social players through a unique way of motivating and scoring. On the web platform users can choose which role they want to play in our society: to be a nonprofit organization and create projects, to be a volunteer and help in projects realization, or to be a sponsor and share resources with other users.
All of them interact with each other through the internal economy of the points system.
Volunteers get social points when they are helping social projects. Nonprofit organizations get it too when they are implementing social projects. Sponsors get points for sharing their resources (goods and services). Every user can exchange points for resources from sponsors. Also, users can get social achievements on the platform for their contribution to society.
We have created an ecosystem that helps social projects find volunteers and resources. It helps to involve society in solving social problems anywhere in the world.
All this makes Sweely an innovative app for solving social issues.
Sweely.org is a web platform and mobile app that uses existing tech to unite communities.
We use Machine Learning tech to recognize images that users upload when describing social projects or sharing resources.
Also this platform uses social networks technology as a web-based and mobile based technology which is used to turn communication into interactive dialogue among organizations, communities, and individuals (volunteers, sponsors, nonprofits).
- Machine Learning
- Social Networks
One of the main issues that Sweely solves is the weak involvement of volunteers in social projects and non-profit organizations across the world. Sweely creates a big community with points gamification to motivate them to act actively and help more organisations across the world. Sweely is creating greater space for volunteerism that brings social inclusion. This would improve social and development results. Returns on engagement with volunteers and volunteerism are maximized when enabling conditions like web-platforms. Information and communication technology – including blogs, monitoring platforms and social media – enables volunteers to complement mainstream media with grassroots-generated real-time information and to find new entry points for voice and dialogue. Global volunteer networks promote voice, participation, accountability and responsiveness.
With Sweely, non-profits get these big volunteer base to solve social problems around the world. Nonprofits also get management tools to operate big volunteer networks.
Volunteerism practised at the local level enables people to learn new skills and deepen their understanding of their rights. It enables individuals to develop the ability to engage and participate beyond the household or village; to monitor and track government commitments and spending; and to build groups to move beyond the local to the national and even the global level.
Sweely can work all over the world spreading its social impact to every type of country development.

For now we have already attracted about 400 users that left a request for a beta version. Among them are about 200 nonprofit organisations across the world, as well as about 150 volunteers and 50 sponsors. In percentage terms, 31,3% of them are from USA, 29,5% are from Canada, 23% from Mexico, 21% from Russia, 16% from India. Also, we have users from countries such as Gana, Brasil, Nigeria, and EU countries.
The number of users we’ll be serving in one year is about 1 million. In our estimation only in the USA there are about 4 million volunteers and 500 thou nonprofits.
In five years we’ll be serving about 10 million users (volunteers, sponsors of resources and NPOs).
To impact more people, we will provide educational meetups for nonprofit organisations, Sponsors and volunteers in many countries either offline or online. We will educate people how to use our platform more efficiently, how to manage volunteers and how to provide goods and services more qualitatively. Also, we will promote motivational videos for volunteers to involve more of them into social projects.
The biggest barriers to growing bigger are financial and marketing barriers, and they're highly interconnected. We need marketing to get more people. Also we need money to develop our product faster.
In some markets as well as CIS country markets, we have cultural barriers. People have an outdated understanding of volunteer work and the work of NPOs.
To overcome financial and marketing barriers we plan to find investment (equity funding).
To overcome cultural barriers in CIS countries we will provide educational meetups and videos.
- Not registered as any organization
There are three people in our team. We are working on it as a full time staff.
We all have the necessary skills to create Sweely. We have one project manager (2 years of experience), one tech leader (8 years of experience) and one web-developer (2 years of experience).
Also, we have a background in working with this problem and finding a solution.
I started this project with an idea and my team helped me to develop it. The idea came from my own experience when I faced with the problem of finding volunteers into my new social project. It was a little-known project, and I couldn't find anyone to help. Also, I had problems in finding resources for this project. Then I understood that I'm not the only one who is faced with such problems in social projects. And I decided to do something about it.
We have attracted about 50 non-profit organizations in Belarus and about 120 from all over the world (USA, Europe, India, Africa). Our platform has 7 languages to reach more people around the world.
Our beneficiary segments are Volunteers, Sponsors, and Nonprofits and we solve their issues. They will not pay to use the platform.
We're targeting other customers. We call them Recruiters. They are commercial organizations or event organizers, who want to attract volunteers into their commercial projects.
They can pay for using our platform to find volunteers. Payment for each project placed depending on the number of volunteers they want to attract on our platform. Also, they have free accommodation if they want to attract up to 2 volunteers.
We will provide them with the Points of our platform to find volunteers into their projects quickly. All volunteers will be motivated to do their job right because of our motivation system on the platform.
We also provide access to our large community on the platform where they can talk about their project.
Our project is at the beta testing stage. When it's finished, we will start raising investment capital to the pre-seed stage.
Afterwards, we are going to develop our product to the final beta version stage. We will attract potential customers to the project at this stage.
Our revenue will be highly dependent on the audience size.
When we achieve sustainability, we will attract new investment to grow more.
We hope to be selected and get new connections in a big Global Challenges Community. We hope to meet with nonprofit organisations and solver teams on their social projects. Because we created the project Sweely for them.
We also hope to receive available funding to conduct a big marketing campaign. With that we will have an impact on more people around the world.
- Business model
- Funding and revenue model
- Media and speaking opportunities
We would like to partner with nonprofit organisations and organisations that are carrying out social projects. They are our key audience and we hope to meet with such organisations and partner with them.
Also, it’ll be great to partner with such commercial organisations and social businesses that carry out all kinds of events that involve volunteers.
If we get it, we will use it in conducting a big marketing campaign. It will include Educational meetups for NPOs (“How to create projects effectively on sweely.org”), Sponsors of resources (How to use sharing economy effectively on sweely.org”), also we're gonna do a series of Road show, Direct advertising, Affiliate advertising, Online advertising campaign, SMM, SEO, Attract New Customers, etc. With this, we can spread to more countries and involve more people around the world.
