- Nonprofit
Target beneficiary are poor children from age 03 to age 14 who are living in Ambohitriniandriana. It means village of the noble. Long years ago, it was the village of the Queens. The Queens descendants were educated and got high position in politics and in businesses. They own the land, rich and educated. They left the village and only the Queens slaves remained. They are minority, poor and not educated.
These are the problems we are committed to solve. How can we mobilize their descendants to go to school? How can we keep them studying until high school at least?
We pioneered a school with 3 kids in the middle of the village in 2003. 2 more kids joined them in 3 months. One year later,, we established it officially when the number reached 20 kids. We named it LYCEE PRIVE MPANEFA IRAKA. Every year it grows in number and in grade until 2020, with 220 students and 16 teachers. Then, sadly, it decreased slowly and now there are only 93 students.

We moved to Ambohitrininandriana , small village of Madagascar in 2003 where there was no development at all. Bad road, no public transport, no post, no hospital, no market, no school, no internet, etc....Our first main goal is to bring positive transformation among this village. One of the best activity we took was establishing school. It was a big challenge. Governments didn't establish school for them. Getting education grant was almost impossible.
In the beginning the community didn't care. They allowed you to do what you want to do. They didn't disturb you but they didn't help you also. It took years to get their trust. When you get their trust they are amazing. They greet you, smile to you, give some local gift, share their problems and needs.
We set small businesses examples such as roof tiles production, cassava chips production, strawberry plantation and mushrooms farming. We want them to be inspired and allow them to visit and see.

The area for strawberry is the south of the capital city. We live in the north side where there is no strawberry at all.
It took three years to convince the community to grow it. We had to follow all the processes of theory of change. We put an example. We bought and planted four seedlings. Three of them died as failure example. One grew and multiplied to thousands. We gave the seedlings free of charge to everyone who was interested for the first season. Nobody wanted. After three years, just one couple was interested. Fortunately, they were succeed. The community saw with their own eyes the success. They started to be motivated and asked strawberry seedings. We trained them in detail, equipped them with book and coached them time to time. Right now, there are more than 100 families planting strawberry in thi 8he north side of the capital city.
It is a long term of change.
1. The area of strawberry increased. For many years it was only in the South area of the capital city. Now, there are strawberry plantation in the North area.
2. The number of family who plant strawberry increased. There are now about 102 families.
3. It creates jobs
4. Families get more income and able to feed their families member and pay their children tuitions fees.
5. They take initiative and be responsable.
We are helping parents to be able to pay their children school fees without depending on outside source.
