GT- Medcare
We’re dedicated to solving the problems of medical health care disparities and social isolation. There are around 400 million people worldwide suffering from rare diseases that lack no approved treatment 95% of the time. People from the Americas, EU, Africa, Asia, and beyond all are affected by it.
We’re a premier Biomedical Startup that aims to put an end to this. Our focus is to bring affordable medical care through precision medicine and mental support using Machine Learning and the latest technologies. At our core, we aim to provide easy ML-powered Computer Vision-based diagnostics of rare diseases, using Computer Algorithms and Machine Learning to find genes responsible for these diseases and treat patients with personalized medications based on their genetic makeup. And provide mental support using powerful Natural Language Models such as GPT-3 based chatbots and communal gatherings.
We are committed to providing cheap and easy-to-use Computer Vision based diagnostics on almost every rare disease. And find genes responsible for these diseases using Machine Learning and provide affordable precision medicine. Finally, mental health support using powerful Natural Language as GPT-3 based chatbots and communal gatherings.
Our solution serves patients who are suffering from rare diseases. And it looks to impact their lives in a significant way. These diseases are so rare that not all hospitals have the required knowledge to diagnose them. Which can lead to the late discovery of these diseases. We aim to change that through introducing Computer Vision based diagnostic methods that can be run using any cheap smartphone and electronic device with a camera. Then use Machine Learning to find genes responsible for these diseases and produce precision medicine at an affordable cost.
Not the least! Social life can be hard when you have a disease that others don’t. Not every environment is welcoming and understanding. And it can lead to Social Isolation. We are committed to changing that by introducing powerful Natural Language programs such as GPT-3 based chatbots and communal gatherings for mental support and well-being. Thus making a positive impact both in their medical and social life.
We’re a team compiled of individuals who either have or had loved ones with rare diseases. First hand, we’ve seen the problems that happen with them.
On top of that! Our teammates have been selected by Stanford Disability Conference, StanfordCare programs, and Harvard University Medical Alliance programs. Some of our teammates are currently working with Neuroscientists in finding treatment for Alzheimer's disease. Meantime has experience in serving as a volunteer caregiver in several therapeutic horseriding centers.
From a technical perspective, Our team leader had been one of the youngest moderators at the International Conference for Machine learning and Private Beta Tester for OpenAI. Apart from that, all of us are quite good in Machine Learning and Deep Learning fields. That is why from both a motivational and technical standpoint we’re in a good position to perfectly achieve our desired goals through our Startup.
- Optimize holistic care for people with rare diseases—including physical, mental, social, and legal support
- Mitigate barriers to accessing medical care after diagnosis which disproportionately affect disinvested communities and historically underrepresented identity groups
- Enhance coordination of care and strengthen data sharing between health care professionals, specialty services, and patients
- Empower patients with quality information about their conditions to fight stigma associated with rare diseases
- Promote community and connection among rare disease patients and their advocates
- Concept
Our interest lies in achieving financial and legal support from this Challenge. We’re already in a quite good position to develop the necessary technologies and programs. Even in caregiving and arranging communal gatherings through utilizing our interpersonal skills.
Unfortunately we don’t have the necessary financial assistance to pay for some essential technical Infrastructure and working with medical information requires expert knowledge in HIPPA and other medical laws. And we’re not quite knowledgeable in them. That’s why, we’re looking forward to secure financial legal assistance from this challenge.
We're the first BioMedical Startup that aims to provide cheap and affordable diagnostics and precision medicine for rare diseases using Machine Learning and state of the art technologies. On top of that we’re committed to provide mental well-being using artificial intelligence specifically for rare disease patients.
For next year, we are dedicated to launching our GPT-3 based chatbots for mental well-being and Computer Vision oriented smartphone based rare skin related disease diagnostics software in the United States.
In the next five years, we’re committed to expand our diagnostics software for more rare diseases and from the data collection (with their consent) from our users we’re optimistic to launch our first trial quality precision medicine. And throughout the time, we’ll be partnering with Harvard Medical College and MayoClinic for testing our drug and looking forward to generating about 20% of our profit from the dataset leasing to other Medical labs.
For measuring, our yardstick will be,
1) Increasing user base in our diagnostics software
2) About 200 communal gatherings in a year throughout the world.
3) Have a fully finished Catalogue on every rare disease and sell it’s Subscriptions to key medical colleges as Stanford Medicine and Harvard Medical college by year 3.
4) And earn 10% profit from total revenue.
Our theory of change is totally oriented by patient and user feedback. We believe those who use our product are our biggest feedback providers as we are created for patients. And their feedback is our biggest priority and addressing them is our theory of change.
If patients file poor feedback and our investigation proves it’s valid, we’ll research the market and technologies to find the best possible solution to address that problem. As if patients and users are satisfied then we have a business otherwise not!
At the core, We’re using Machine Learning and Deep Learning Algorithms to find patterns and genes that are responsible for rare diseases. And using the same Machine Learning and Deep Learning Algorithms to create drugs that can combat these genes and treat the disease.
For diagnostics software, we’re using lobe.AI to create light-weight yet powerful Machine Learning based Computer Vision programs that can detect a rare disease through images easily with the highest precision. And launching these programs as both mobile apps and PWA(progressive web app) for lower-end devices.
Our mental health support and well-being chatbot will be using GPT-3, the highest proven human emotion-based chatbot that can easily provide certified mental health support for rare disease patients.

In our team, we already have different Ethnicities such as English, Pakistani, American, and Turkish. But, we understand we’ll be working with more diverse ethnicities, that’s why, before expanding to a new market we’ll first coordinate with non-profit medical organizations to understand what kind of methods to follow for adapting ourselves and our products to that specific market and users. By making sure our technologies are not negatively biased, all people can be equally served and benefit from this approach.
We are a for-profit and nonprofit Startup. Through our startup we aim to serve about 40 million customers and 30 different companies and universities in the upcoming 5 years. Through this we are committed to make a positive impact on at least 80 million people worldwide directly and indirectly in the upcoming five years. Since our core is creating affordable medical care, we look forward to donating about 10-15% of our non-profit donations into helping patients who are struggling with medical bills and medicine.
Our products such as free to use for individuals with rare disease diagnostic software, quality ad-based GPT-3 powered chatbot and communal programs aims to provide quality healthcare and support to all patients. And from our affordable precision medicine and research we’re committed to support the rare disease community further and students and researchers who’re interested in working with us with jobs. Finally by being a healthy startup in both ethically and financially and contributing to the world economy as whole we look forward to creating a change.
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
We’re a B2B and B2C business that is both for-profit and nonprofit. In our core diagnostic technologies and mental health chatbot of ours are free for anyone on the Internet. But, precision medicine and medical data generated by users are our profit-making products.
Precision medicine will be available to consumers at an affordable cost and medical data generated by users in form of datasets will be shared with research institutes in exchange for a cost. And quality ads will be shown on our website to generate revenue.
Finally, in our non-profit, We’ll arrange mental well-being communal gatherings, and merchandise sold from those events, and donations by people will be used partially for helping poor patients and rest for our research and development. We’ll be using a portion for research development because if we don’t then we might have to monetize our research patents and data to others for sustaining and continuing further research. That can easily create market competition for us and result in Big Pharma charging huge amounts for the same medicine and making it hard for patients to buy essential medicines. To prevent that, a portion of donations will be used back in research and development.
