Christella Sustainable growth development
Problem:
Apparently, as a part of people living with rare disease, in which I was diagnosed of sickle cell anaemia when I was six years old, I realized the challenges people living with rare disease are face from emphaty.
Their education, social life, health, dreams and vision are all traumatized leaving them almost isolated from the world through various stigmatization from people with no adequate care and most of them end up dead at early age and majority becoming useless to themselves and the society due to the nature of their diseases.
Solution:
By taking part in just concluded Global Alliance of Sickle Cell Disease Organization which was their first virtual meeting, I gained more understanding to my solution which is Christella sustainable growth development project in assisting those living with rare diseases from their challenges which is supporting them with daily care management to reduce the effect of stigmatization and psychological issues through provision of food, good water supply and medical assistance during crises with the help of Ghana's NHIS and Sickle Cell Foundation and implementation of the medical knowledge gotten from the works of Novartis in which I would really need assistance from them in the next future in empowering me establish a sickle cell Foundation that would be easily accessible in helping people living with the disease.
The target population is about 200 people living with ScD from different regions in Ghana.
They have been on and off hospital on a regular basis putting them off jobs, schools and making them hopeless and stigmatised with no clear future hope for them.
Christella sustainable growth development project would provide them with food from our Agricultural food products, employment opportunities with easy jobs within their strength and proper medical assistance whenever the need arises
Base on the truth that i am also a victim of people living with rare disease, I strongly understood how much effects people living with rare diseases pass through on a daily basis and this puts me and my team in a better position to combat these challenges.
Medical data and records have been collected from various local hospitals and proper supervision are in place from our organization and also from the local communities in ensuring prompt response to proceedings.
Proper adequate meeting has been held within our organization and also with the community leaders religious leaders, youth representatives, security operatives and the general public to ensure a sustainable growth development and equity distribution of resources.
Medical team of doctors and nurses are in place to administer medical assistance whenever the need arises.
Every data and records be it written, video or audio recordings from the on-site staff, general public would be finally brought to the office, even the public opinions gathered from every projects for the internal and external evaluators to check and balance the operations and the outcome of the evaluation would determine where to channel our services, where to improve, people that are most in need be it in health care services or food production, discovery of any mismanagement and where security and governmental policy is affecting or applicable.
- Optimize holistic care for people with rare diseases—including physical, mental, social, and legal support
- Support daily care management for patients and/or their caregivers
- Mitigate barriers to accessing medical care after diagnosis which disproportionately affect disinvested communities and historically underrepresented identity groups
- Empower patients with quality information about their conditions to fight stigma associated with rare diseases
- Promote community and connection among rare disease patients and their advocates
- Growth
Releasing grants to organisations is not always easy by grantors, therefore, surpassing the expectation of our grantors and getting more effective and viable networks for more technical and financial support is our long time goal and the following approaches are set aside in making them achievable:
1, we are committed to the unique provision of a personal and tailored social and security services able to satisfy and exceed customers expectations.
2, seeing visible accomplishment through the life changes and testimonies from our beneficiaries especially women, children, girls and physically challenged ones.
All these should be achieved by the end of every Project usually first year of commencement.
Due to the stigmatization and other challenges that people living with rare disease are facing like unemployment, lack of care and attention, lack of social life etc, even coming out openly to discuss or get a care for their needs.
Therefore, Christella sustainable growth development introduces a mobile pin that enables them to meet with an agent and discuss their needs privately which is so uncommon especially in Africa, even those living with Sickle Cell Disease can discuss their challenges, seek medical assistance, jobs, social relationship perhaps seeking for a partner for relationship.
All these would make life more meaningful and enjoyable for rare disease patients and this makes our solution so very much innovative.
As Christella sustainable growth development projects grows by achieving it's aims and objectives over a period of time with an evident manifestation of changes in life of people living with rare diseases that are being catered for, we are anticipating for an applaudable recognition within the regions in Ghana between the commencement date and over a year.
Our next five years agenda would be to take Christella sustainable growth development projects to all the countries in Africa especially west Africa and all over the world with the empowerment through technical, financial and psychological aid that we must have gotten from MIT Solve and it's partners, Government organizations and both public and private enterprises coupled with our own unending work force and various input in maintaining a sustainable growth development all over our reachable places.
We measure our progress towards our impact goals through the following means:
Public opinion: from the information gathered from people concerning our social assistance and how impactful it's to peoples life.
Patients testimonies: the evident results and confessions from people living with rare disease, how their lives have been bettered and meaningful are also used as a measuring means to our progress.
Management observation: based on our data collection and personal observation by the management, we scale up our progress as time goes.
Government and public recommendation: this is how our works are applaudable to government and general public.
Our solution is so strongly believed to bring about a far greater positive impacts on the problems or challenges that those living with rare diseases are facing due to our well planned theory of change which is as follows:
Every data and records be it written, video or audio recordings from the on-site staff, general public would be finally brought to the office, even the public opinions gathered from every projects for the internal and external evaluators to check and balance the operations and the outcome of the evaluation would determine where to channel our services, where to improve, people that are most in need be it in health care services or food production, discovery of any mismanagement and where security and governmental policy is affecting or applicable.
With these proceedings, our theory of change would bring evident tremendous solution to problems.
The core technology that powers our solution is the christella sustainable growth development mobile sms/call that is made available through the input of a mobile pin code from all mobile devices which can be used from all mobile networks in the country and it's a toll free connection for all patients living with rare diseases.
