MentalUnion
The lack of information about rare diseases ends up generating stigma, in the world alone there are 420 million people who need help to deal with their families, in Brazil there are 13 million people who face this every day
What do we want? Delivery of information to end stigma and help families who are at the beginning of illness with their loved one
We came to the conclusion that the target factor of these prejudices happens more often in underdeveloped countries where the population is less educated, but we have already seen cases where this also happened in developed countries. What we're trying to convey is that having a chronic illness is as common as diabetes or any other chronic illness.
Our main technology is React technology, the same used by companies like Facebook and Twitter. We use it due to the high demand of people specialized in it and mainly because we think it's great for being a technology with easy code maintenance and high scalability.
At the heart of our product is JamStack technology, the same technology used by Netflix to have full control over reviewing magazine posts.
The solution would be to help people through the magazine generating and generating jobs for them, thus rescuing the dignity and self-esteem of these people, giving them social inclusion
People are stigmatized by society as people with autism, schizophrenia, and bipolar.
There is a lot of prejudice against these people, in Brazil most confuse schizophrenia with psychopathy and we know that it is something totally different
The solution will improve people's awareness by giving information to a number of people who are at home experiencing difficulties because there are cases that are the first in the family, we believe in a new vision of psychiatry in which the person can recover and return to have a normal life
We came from a group of peers in Rio de Janeiro for people with rare and severe diseases. We are the most qualified because we have already passed everything in relation a this. Our team is composed of family members and patients.
- Optimize holistic care for people with rare diseases—including physical, mental, social, and legal support
- Support daily care management for patients and/or their caregivers
- Empower patients with quality information about their conditions to fight stigma associated with rare diseases
- Pilot
We have already run a prototype before, which was a kind of blog with interviews and had three thousand views, now we are putting the magazine on the air but we still have some code bugs even with all that we got first place in SEO on Google and many people are waiting by the project, our biggest difficulty nowadays would be to integrate the Facebook Login, the rest is all ready, from the stripe payment to the subscribe algorithm
We are a digital journal made by patients with rare diseases. That would be catalytic because people would see that we have a life despite the disease and that would change the market because it gets a lot of attention
The main objective is to change people's lives and make them productive for society and capable of working, thus increasing their self-esteem and taking and expanding information to those who don't have it in the four corners of the world so that people who don't being able to go to a group or even pay an expensive doctor, having the chance to have contact with him through the website and having the chance to work on the creation
Currently, two people work on the project fully. We plan to expand through the Drop Service for greater scalability. With sites like Fiveer, we will be able to expand without spending all our cash. We will mainly invest in CAC and LTV to gain a higher ratio.
Our CAC is already relatively good, just Google our ranking. When people think of coffee, they think of Starbucks or when they think of Cowork Space, they think of Wework. We want that when it comes to Rare Disease Mental Health, think of MentalUnion
Blog creation 2020 with doctors and patients with 3000 views using Html and Css.
2022 Creation of the new website using React technology,First place in SEO and when searching the word Mental Union we are in first place with 400 million results
Our first pilot had 3,000 people who followed our magazine monthly. And with our new proposal not being mature we had a lot of traffic congestion on the network generated by our SEO
We hope that our project will be successful because it has already been tested and because the world today is very focused on people's mental health and well-being.
We use the prismic technology used by Google to render articles and publications and React's new NextJS library which allows for ease of rendering the page online
We use this technology along with others that allow us to create a backend without backend code
