Access to Skill Acquisition and talent coaching is limited (to availability and location of trainer, size of training centre, availability of tools and materials for practice, and price of training), consequently, only a privileged few are able to acquire these useful skills and learn from the best.
There is growing unemployment rate (23.1% in Nigeria) and in most cases employability is the major problem. Vocational and Technical educations is constantly declining as more people clamor over white collar institutions that will provide them white collar jobs. But reality is hitting hard and there's a realization that white collar jobs are mostly saturated and cannot do without the technical component which most graduates lack.
Also people with art and craft skills have an edge as they can be self employed and generate income for themselves fulltime or as a side hustle.
Finally, SME activities and private sector development would develop our communities in the long run. For instance if everyone learns how to run a small farm by and produce 10 kilos of an Agricultural product, soon there'll be sufficient food and prices of food will reduce and become affordable.
