SWARA CLOTH PAD DONATION - Menstrual Hygiene

EVENT DESCRIPTION-

       Our idea for the event is that we would be donating cloth pads to government school girls and would also be spreading the awareness of the benefits of using cloth pads instead of sanitary pads. The main aim for the event is to replace sanitary pads with cloth pads.

CAUSE OF THE EVENT-

        There is a lack of menstrual awareness among people especially the less fortunate. The cause of the event would be to spread awareness and also make an effort to convert the girls of the government from sanitary pads to cloth pads. Cloth pads according to research have proven to be more environmental friendly and have better hygiene when compared to sanitary pads. Cloth pads are also more economical and sustainable. Sanitary pads also have more amount of chemicals present in them.

IMPACT OF THE EVENT-

        The impact of the event would be to reach out to 500 government school girls. We would be spreading menstrual awareness and also make an effort to convert them to cloth pads over sanitary pads.

we have NSS wing, Rotract Club & environment club through from which many societal benefit projects have been taken & executed. such as 

Ashraya - Teaching Government school children - computer literacy & donated second hand computers 

Handyman English work shop - teaching basic english 

Vyagra Pariyojana - save tiger 

Plantation of saplings 

Swatch Bharath : environment and cleaning activity 

Prathibha - Cultural events government school children 

Rota Olympics - Differently abled childrent sports event 

Financial assistance worth of Rs. 1500000 is needed to implement the above primary health care solutions for one year in 3 districts. Which can be followed by primary health care centers of the government located in deprived districts of Karnataka .
