Girls act to end Female Genital Mutilation
Ending FGM as 92% of girls are cut before age 15. This cruel ritual is a crime, child abuse, and a health issue. Many girls lose their lives because of FGM. According to the World Heath Organization, Female genital mutilation (FGM) involves the partial or total removal of external female genitalia or other injuries to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons. The practice has no health benefits for girls and women.
Our services would focus on medical training for students (at all levels) and specialization for general practitioners. Our services would aim to expose students and physicians to FGM and survivor therapy through specialized training based on their respective fields. Specialized training would familiarize doctors and students with various types of FGM, processes, complications, consequences, therapy, and effective repair techniques while providing nurses with the skills and
tools to teach lessons (a consequence of FGM on the bodies of girls and women) using presentations share experiences with Drs from Ivory Coast, Cameroon and France, and the United States.
on the training of professionals seeking to improve their skills in various therapy and mental health areas. We would also provide training for professional midwives who are responsible for physician support functions in their respective hospitals. The objective of this training would be to build the capacity of Chadian workers to solve childbirth problems in their hospitals while keeping them up to date with the latest tools and resources in the field.
Our last line of services would focus on training FGM practitioners, as they are the gatekeepers to the practice. The Sunshine girls will train them in a new business as they are in fields. We would also provide training for professional midwives who are responsible for physician support functions in their respective hospitals. The objective of this training would be to build the capacity of Chadian workers to solve childbirth problems in their hospitals while keeping them up to date with the latest tools and resources in the field.
care is not easily accessible to populations. Chad is one of the world's poorest countries with the fourth highest fertility rate. With an average of nearly seven children per mother — and rising — the country defies the typical global pattern of so-called “demographic transition” Maternal mortality has reached one of the highest rates in Africa. More than 300 women died in childbirth or pregnancy for every 100,000 live births, according to 1998 estimates. We will also provide a platform for survivors to communicate and share their experiences as a healing online or in-person service.

I have a non-profit organization in one of the poorest countries in the world. I need support to end this cruel ritual.
My solution is survivor oriented and I work with grass root advocates. We are using my book l'obscurite sous le Soleil published in 2016 as a tool to vehiculate the message that FGM is a crime and child abuse. I also explain how the ritual damaged girls' health and traumatized them for life.
To inform girls before they reach 10 years. Help survivors to heal so then will break the channel and end FGM in two to five years.
I will collect data. organize focus groups and interview people before and after implementing my solution.
Change does need twenty people but one person could change more than twenty thousand minds in a second.
Will work with network provider as Airtel and Tigo. Radio and Media. then "people to people" is the best technology is rural and poor countries.

Sell my book in French and English and use the income to finance our activities. Apply for grants.
I have sold more than 800 copies so far and the income has help to rescue more than 130 girls in Mandoul and Ndjamena. Many Fathers that got my book refused to send their daughters to be mutilated.
