T.I.P.I.S(Teaching Indigenious People Innovative Solutions)
The overall goal for CMC is to stop the generational poverty and the lack of economic oppurtunities for the underserved communities on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and globally .
The system of generational oppression has created large scale epidemics within all healthy social growth naturalities and the third world living conditions spanding decades giving way to the current rise in meth use and violent crimes, alcoholism, homelessness. CNN.com/The forgotten Americans
With the abundance of unhealthy food souces available it is effecting the overall health in our communities that is growing faster and no real solutions to break it's hold.
The overall population of around 45,000 members are effected in one way or another with the unemployment rate around 80% and the life expectancy at 48 years of age for males partnered with an devestating suicide rate twice the national average and a prolonged economic stand still for 80 plus years.
Now our cultural way of living has reached it's breaking point without a reliable way of fixing our own problems with the access to proper cultural educational outreach programs for healthy life styles and the much needed healing centers.
TIPIS business concept; By developing a modern TIPIS Village concept in each community we are bringing the cultural importance of our village life as a vidal economic hub for investment opportunities for the members.
CMC business hub concept is to have the owner living within a safe distance from their homes saving money, energy while protecting the air quality surrounding the home and business. Each TIPIS will be fitted with a wind turbine and solar panels built by the innovative workforce development program CMC will have available. The ecological modeling site plan will include a unity food growth site layout for a water run off tier catch system from the slope of the village and creating a potential drought protection barrier for water and food conservation.
CMC Target populations for the TIPIS village are around 21 to 70 plus entreprenuers that have a business idea or a current one that is a home based business that requires a network of eco-friendly driven commerce.
Being a life long resident of the Spotted Owl Community within the Wounded Knee District I have come to understand the lack of business success is due to fanacial help and guidance along with the proper work ethic for business growth. I have designed and built a model for the community to engage in as they develope a liking to the idea of a modern Tipi. Once the final Tipi design is done CMC can address other issues such the homelessness, emergency shelters helping to bring outreach programs addressing the suicide epidemic.
The CMC team at this point consist of myself as the design builder of the Tipi cabin prototype which is currently under construction changes while using local community members when needed on a day to day basis.
Our cultural architecture teachings will be part of the indigenious innovations workforce training program while fostering the idea for Tipi village regenerative communities that can build economic sustainability within our territories and for the future generations.
- Prototype
The history of the many financial barriers where developed specifically to discourage natives from getting the adequate funding to build a feasible business on the reservation and still today we are underserved within our own boundaries.
Our voice at the financial table is a vital one when we know our products and the land we live on can be one of the catalyst that can cultavate job creation, trades training, investment opportunities and the needed infrastucture for the communities growth.
As the developer and builder of the Tipi cabin CMC will be working to propose a complete developement plan for private resorts, Tribal Economic Business Development, Glamper sites, and short term rental options for a holistic retreat gatherings.
CMC will seek to connect with developers that can invest and market a product to fit the demographics of our reservation and bring business to the entreprenuers.
