Sign Language in AI

Out of 466 million, 90% of the deaf community has limited access to education and information due to language barriers. DeafTawk aims to bridge this gap by providing accessible learning materials in sign language. Those deaf students who are unable to acquire education due to limited sign language now can use the DeafTawk app and get it translated into sign language.

DeafTawk is the digital sign language interpretation solution with the combination of both real-time human interpretation and Ai bot. It aims to bridge the communication gap of the deaf community which is almost 466 million across the globe according to WHO. It is a mobile application that translates voice, video, and picture text into sign language through an AI avatar. In this way, deaf students can acquire quality education. 

Deaf students will have better access to education and in those countries or areas where there are limited sign language interpreters or individuals who can not afford sign language interpreters, they can use the DeafTawk application to acquire quality education in an accessible format. 

Our team consists of technology experts, as well as disability expert. All three co-founders are persons with disabilities themselves and faced this particular challenge by themselves. That's why they have a better ability to fix this problem and make education inclusive for everyone.

As we are operating in a very small market, but through Solve, we need bigger market access in U.S mainlands such as New York, California, and Texas, so in this way, we can benefit more deaf children and develop a better position to scale globally. 

Deaf people face humongous barriers due to communication problems which leads to limited access to education. Through the deaftawk app, they have sign language interpreters. Without this technology, they need to wait 3-5 working days to book an interpreter or pay a premium for sign language interpreters. With DeafTawk, they can improve the access to deaf children in schools as well as education materials are more accessible for them they can enjoy unlimited sign language interpretation. in order to translate all the reading as well as audio material. this will also translate real-time voice into sign language interpretation

In the next 5 years, we would like to improve our technology as well as add more languages. Currently, it's only for English. In the next 4 years, we forecast at least 15 languages. Moreover, currently we have 32k users but we will improve this to 150k users and give more benefits to the deaf children

 We are only targeting goal number 4 which in inclusive and quality education for all and specifically target number 8 which in including marginalized community children with disabilities.

We have identified the problem and found the solution. 

DeafTawk has been used for 4 years has benefitted many deaf children enroll in schools. We have calculated the number of users and the rate of graduation has reached 89%. 

The outcome results were deaf people who were in school are now able to get a job and contribute to society and live financially independently. 

The core technology is the state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence backed backend engine used for sign language to text and vice versa conversation in an optimal way.
The application aims to help the speech impaired personal to achieve daily tasks more easily.

The application also provides a platform for sign language interpreters to take advantage of and earn.

This encourages more people to learn sign language conversion and help the community.

Using WebRTC to connect the Hearing impaired people with Hearing People by connecting them on a video call with Interpreters that can understand Sign Language, based on ReactNative and Django 

We are a very inclusive team. Many persons with disabilities are working with us. Moreover, we ha almost fifty percent of the gender workforce, and teams belonging to different countries as well as different ethnicities. 

DeafTawk operates in both B2B and B2C domains. DeafTawk charges B2C clients on per minute bases, and for B2B there is a monthly subscription. DeafTawk can partner with schools and push 90% of the deaf students to go to school and have better education and equal opportunities. 

466 million are the total population across the globe who are facing communication arriers due to deafnes out of which 60% are those who are out of schill.due to limited sign language availavility through deaftawk soliton they have better access to education ajd have rqual oppertunity to take all sucject as pertheir choice.

With more customers and clients on DeafTawk, it is possible to become financially sustainable because of the cost-sharing basis and most of the profits will be used to cover admin costs, HR, marketing, and tech development. We will also apply for investments and build partnerships with more organizations. 

We have received an investment of $100,000 from Accelerating Asia, $80,000 grant from Guarantco. With the amount of investment + grants, we have been able to grow our customer base from 800 to 32,000+
