Our solution is an open source learning management system that is customized to enable interactive teaching and learning online for schools in S.I

What specific problem are you solving?

The population of Solomon Islands is still under the 1 million mark with around 80% in the Youths age range. According to the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development (MEHRD) annual reports in 2019 there are in total approximately 210,000 plus students enrolled in Primary, Secondary, and RTC schools. An there are around 7,700 teachers in primary, secondary, and RTC/TVET. The recent and ongoing community out break of Covid19 and all schools closed, we believe our LMS solution should be a key solution to support the strategies and plans of the MEHRD learning continuity discussions and implementation.

What is your solution?

An online opensource learning management system.

A 24/7, 99.99% uptime solution that we have been lucky to have partnered with our hosting provider in NZ who has offices in Australia, Canada, and Great Britain. In our platform, we provide an online space for Students and for each teacher to provide teaching and for students to learn and gain access to top notch technology leading to quality education deliver.

We have carried out a trial with one of the International School here and the results and lessons learnt are incredible.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?

Our solution will serve the interest of the nation and global community to enable learning to continue in schools during this pandemic times.

The most to benefit when introducing our solution would be the schools, students, teachers, parents, Education authorities, Development partners, and Government.

Our solution will fit Solomon Islands settings and address some of the educational problems we face together as a country and as part of the global community.

How are you and your team well-positioned to deliver this solution?

We have 2 dedicated team leaders of Eduspeis. Given that were one of the 3 winners of YECSI EBI 2020 program. From there we piloted the solution with an one school for nearly whole of last year with the pilot closing around November. Since then we have been working closely with our business coach and setting up meetings with potential new clients.

Simply put, I am applying because of funds that i need to grow our business to be ready and capable to roll out.
