We have realized a problem affecting our learners in our education system, especially in Africa where we are working currently. Where most if not all of the learners are ignorant on what direction to take and what course or content to consume in order to be what they want to be and according to what they can do best or even passionate about to prepare them for the real world. This problem is becoming a barrier for our education system to bring out successful people that are actively engaging in their professional fields after school in that most learners find themselves studying a lot of content that they don't need for them to achieve success in their dream career or enter the wrong field. For example, those who were born to write but are collecting blood, those who belong to the stage but are in the field or even ignorant on what course to take to reach the stage.
Guiomentor helps learners on how to do the relevant course and consume only the relevant content for their dream career through an intelligent web and mobile app that uses machine learning, Augmented Reality(AR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide personalized career guidance and mentoring for learners by helping them understand what they do best basing on what they are passionate about and providing them with relevant study materials.
Guiomentor product has five major components.
Providing Study resources that will include course materials, video lectures, live streams and virtual laboratories for science subjects using the Augmented Reality Language to enhance the students’ learning while at home as well as engage them based on personalized content of interest.
Assessing learners(individual Assessment) so that they can realize what they can do best and what they are passionate about in order to be provided with the relevant course and content sustained by the determination to pursue a course that will prepare them for the real world while allowing them to live their passion. And we believe that they are the people who are willing to get up every day and face the long day ahead with optimism radiating in their eyes.
Career Guidance to the learners by directing them on what course/content to consume for that particular career of interest or even advising them on what career they can do best according to their potential.
One on One mentorship to learners by providing a home-like crazy comfortable environment to both the learners and parents that might become interested in the mentoring services.
Connecting parents with their students as well as teachers through the parental tracking subsection where parents will be able to track the performance of their learners/students as well as build trusting, respectful relationships with each other through effective communication.
Academic Institutions include schools, nursery sections, universities and tertiary institutions due to the fact that they have to start feeding learners only with relevant information or giving them the relevant course according to their dream career of interest and where their passion lies. currently, these learners are just fed a lot of information or even given courses that they don't even need in making their dream career become true. Guiomentor came out of our team’s personal experience from growing up and studying in African communities,for example in Uganda a child can study for 21 years and consume a lot of subjects that are not relevant to the career they want to be due to the fact that our education system is designed in a way that you have to study from nursery up to senior four when you study everything they bring to you whether your interested in them or not. So as people who were part of such depressing experiences we believe that we are able to make a difference in this education system by coming up with this guiomentor solution such that the remaining population in different communities can be saved from such experiences and take in what is only relevant. We are composed of highly technical and skilled personnel with over 10 years of experience in business, education and Technology including experiences supporting live Software applications like Captiq GmbH, ERP and software development.
Our team also reached out to different learners from different institutions to get their views on how they feel about this way of studying as part of engaging them in our solution and using their details as part of our input and guidance to implement this solution.

International expansion in the market: we believe that our solution has the ability to scale massively across the globe but as a new service provider, this might take some time for our product to break strongly into the international market thus it would be great to explore this opportunity through Solve.
Partnering with different institutions to give product feedback: we are excited to meet other education platforms that are working on delivering more accessible and scalable education to learners and we want to be able to work with these education organizations/programs who can work with guiomentor in refining our education system to deliver digital career-oriented learning to individuals.

Guiomentor provides a technology-driven solution to learners by leveraging machine learning, artificial intelligence and Augmented Reality technology where we are able to personalize the education through data-driven/analytics yet accessible and scalable way.
By contrast, other education programs/organizations currently have been focused on just giving learners study materials and suggestions for what to consume minus conducting the learners' assessment and understanding where their passion lies which are time-consuming, exploitative in giving learners what they don't need for their career and undeserving. We also use innovative technology to power our transformation combining these technologies and humans to enable two-way conversations among the learners, parents and mentors/teachers which is becoming an increasing need.

The empirical evidence that the major problem facing education in Africa is the lack of “quality” education itself. Due to the fact that Africa has so many graduates but very few are “quality” graduates and doing what they studied as well what they wanted to do after school. Several people graduate from school with degrees but with a lack of “application skills” to the professionals they need to do since they spend most of their years in school being taught a lot of things that they even don't need in their career and are less interested in which makes them work very hard just to pass their exams and graduate. Found that most student graduates with degrees or certificates are unable to apply what they have learned to better their everyday lives. The point to take in all that is that learners are taught so many unnecessary things in school instead of focusing on the most important things in life.
So guiomentor comes in to solve that major problem in this education sector by bringing access to quality education following the input of funding for General Education quality improvement that we believe will result in quality and qualified graduates where learners are taught only the necessary things they need to consume for their dream job following that they are passionate about that career. The next output will be that all primary and secondary students will be able to understand what they can do best and what they need to focus on. It shall also strengthen the Education management system which will make education an interesting story for the learners.
Our General Education Quality improvement platform is a software intended to solve the problems with the quality of education in our Education sector that will be a Web-based and mobile app which are using technologies like Machine learning that will offer efficient resource allocation as well as track the learner’s progress, Augmented Reality which makes the learning process more interesting and easier to grasp and this technology will be used for science subjects that require practical skills i.e showing a skeleton etc. The last technology being used is Artificial Intelligence which can help highlight areas that require improvement and assist students in focusing on areas where they are lagging as well as recommendations.

As we translate Diversity, equity and inclusivity (DEI) into actions within education. Several approaches and programs have been pursued by our team to incorporate DEI into education, here we provide a summary of what our team is willing to do to promote DEI in its work.
Self-reflection and self-critique whereby individuals have a deep understanding of who they are, what their strengths are, what they enjoy doing and will help the learners build their confidence in what they are studying and examining their own beliefs. This will be assigned to an array of professionals that will help enhance and increase personal awareness of one’s value to increase understanding and acceptance of others as well.
Teaching in response to different learning styles for students with different learning needs: Incorporating diversity by understanding the needs of different learners since all learners are not good at the same thing without any range of human differences including but not limited to race, ethical value system, national origin and political beliefs.
Nurturing awareness of other cultural beliefs and customs where our mentors are to create a multicultural classroom that cultivates learning via cultural diversity activities that can help students from different backgrounds succeed in the classroom environment.
Employing equity by developing Authentic Relationships in that learners are likely to take intellectual risks if they feel safe and trust that is engaged in an authentic learning relationship with their teachers/mentors. The best way this will be done is by prioritizing learner well being, not academic compliance. this can be done by taking 20 minutes at the beginning of each class to check in with your students and talk with them about their lives.
We ask students to share views and substantiate why they feel or think that way to encourage different perspectives.
We strive to understand our students as well as structure the course to provide equal opportunities to all students.
We engage our learners by ensuring that we solicit immediate formative feedback, ask students to share any burning questions about a content topic, ask for feedback about the course regularly and send personalized “how is it going ?” messages during the semester.

After receiving a fund push, we are already coming up with a billing feature which will be a monthly subscription model paid by our users so that they access all the features. There will be different types of subscription and each will have a level of content access.
We believe, if we have a good number of students (users) on the platform we shall be financially stable.
