LEARN with NOODLE
Model formulation of the problem:
- Pre-pandemic, every five out of six children don’t have access to education and post pandemic the situation only worsened.
- During pandemic, virtual learning emerges with a crude fact that two third of the children don’t have the basic ambience like accessibility to the internet
- This campaign of digital divide is almost the same as that of World literacy campaign by UN. (Reference: our work https://doi-org.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/10.16920/jeet/2019/v32i4/145520 )
- In terms of productivity, educational stepping stone of Outcome Based Education has been confined to one -sixth of the World children population (Reference: our work https://doi-org.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/10.1007/s10639-019-10043-z )
- Most of the rest of the children are child labour at premature age.
- Especially in third-world and developing countries, however not confined to, parents are helpless due to poverty to engage their children and many of the children are identity less orphan.
- Rehabilitating this large child population is next to impossible, so the proposal is to “Heal the World! Make it better place” i.e. educate them in their present location through alternative available approaches linked to their job role
Solution Model
- In proposed LEARN with NOODLE model, LEARN is for victims of digital divide whereas NOODLE is for rest.
- Learn -Earn Academic Relaxed Network (LEARN) with New-normal Object Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment (NOODLE)
- The only relaxation to a larger group of this children labour is music. Audio has higher capabilities of knowledge transfer comparable to text (Reference: Radio Garden http://radio.garden/ )
- Music is a universal language and also available offline. It brings relaxation, recreation even at the time of work and productivity enhancement with it is a proven fact (Reference: our work https://doi-org.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/10.1016/j.procs.2020.05.151 )
- Coincident to their work place, the knowledge transfer learning resources are to be build in catchy and attractive way fit to their working condition with topic objective and outcome (Reference: our work https://doi-org.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/10.1016/j.procs.2020.05.053 )
- The NOODLE sub-model is to get rid of digital divide in virtual learning
- In this proposed work, the objective is to provide this LEARN with NOODLE hybrid model with catchy learning resources employable to both physical and virtual environment.
- Dependencies will be the support of the Govt. and Laws of the land and implementable through UN bodies like UNICEF, UNCPD etc..
Target population is out of-school children free or engaged as child labor, two third majority in the entire children population of the Globe.
They are deprived of the basic minimum education mainly due to poverty ridden state of their family.
Without changing their state of living and working, the idea here is to install a "Learn while you earn" frame with ease of learning
The underserved students deserves the basic minimal education i.e. primary education.
So knowledge transfer in primary education periphery and territory is the aim with relaxation framework, music / performing arts in their respective working ambience.
Also a large category students are deprived of common minimum education due to digital divide. This is also addressed using the sub-model NOODLE also

Thou their is no overlap of the proposed model with the above.
The proposed model "LEARN with NOODLE" is novel.
- Facilitate meaningful social-emotional learning among underserved young people.
- Prototype
A set of music enabled learning resources containing basic educational topic (with topic objective and outcome) at primary level education for beyond school accessible, poverty ridden, under privileged, digitally divided, larger section of children.
Appropriate lyrics are generated to contain the message via which the knowledge will be transferred.
Even role playing may be employed so as to enhance knowledge transfer ability in simplistic model.

Impact goal is three stages.
Funding also will be required accordingly.
At first, this will be employed in the surrounding region challenged Children.
At the next stage in a socio-economic geo-diversified place within the nation. Community is same under-privileged children.
Final stage will be in a global location. Preferably in a US migrant area. MIT assistance will be required for implementation
Through proper action budget plan and activity timeline.
Then internal (University) and MIT (external) auditing provisions has been made.
Monthly / Quarterly Work in Progress Report is a must
Vertical wise component compliance outlined by the above diagram is must.
We have been trying to pitch this in a University-MIT way.
This LEARN with NOODLE model is going to be user-friendly among community.
The target community won't face any hiccup to adapt as this will come in a natural way to their practices.
Component based third party research result would be embedded to this research proposal.
Only challenge is creation of appropriate narrative/ lyrics for primary level knowledge transfer.

LEARN module is typically offline to address the concern of digitally underprivileged children with internet accessibility problems.
We may need digital Learning platforms for NOODLE module in which we propose to get rid of Digital divide by this low-cost device NOODLE.
Research in parallel has been taken to shape this device, however, yet to come to completion stage.
LEARN Model is moved upto prototype.
As our attempt is manual, not much high end technology will be reuiqred. Rather solution plan is based on multilinguistic physical model.

We are a research group of Swami Vivekananda University, Barrackpore, West Bengal, India.
Four members are internal, two external members are taken into consideration with a collaborative approach.
The regions identified in three different tiers to work with local, national and global automatically incorporates versatilities.
We respect Diversity. We'll have equity Action Plan (EAP) during the course of carrying out entire works.
All short of equity has to be taken care of religious, gender, ethnic /regional, colors without having any bias towards any class or categories.
Here the perception of customer don't exists. Its a population development project proposal and this research being part of a research group under University has been taken for societal cause for the benefit of under-privileged children.
The successful implementation needs support of regulatory bodies (viz. UN etc in broader perspective). That is mentioned in the dependencies.
This products (relaxation based learning resources) or service (same activities ) are to be provided to small groups Go/ NGO so as to train /deliver to the children group in their base location.
We don't charge anyone, only except expenses/ infrastructure/ consumables/ contingencies and a basic minimum honorarium for the team.

The proposed model is expected to bring a sea change in child education perception that may not be school dependent. It is a paradigm shift from the ongoing perception.
Like the perception on value of money and funding changes. This changed primarily educated underprivileged lot may turn into new source of revenues in societal perspective.
Beside an alternative funding through donations and CSR options should also be kept open.
