An observation on the roots of school dropout

Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan are role models of development. But according to the report of 2019, around 50% of students in these countries are dropping out of school before class 10. Even the rate is increasing day by day, especially in this pandemic. Can we think of it? How can a country develop when half of the youths are remaining uneducated? 

If we try to find out the scene behind school dropout, we can find different reasons. According to different journals, there are mainly 3 reasons behind school dropout:

1. The financial problem, 2. The problem in mentality, and 3. Education system.

In my solution, I want to create a free economic platform where students would be able to gain knowledge through practical work. 

How do I plan to execute that?

Here we need 4 elements to execute that. 

1.  Students; 
2. Authority; 
3. Ambassadors;
4. Sponsor company.

Authority

They will contact sponsor companies (mainly tech companies). They will try to work on an agreement where the sponsor company may supply working components and money. The components will be provided to the students through the ambassador. And the money will be provided to the students. 

The students will work with their components that the companies done by another workforce. But here students living in their houses or vising the workplace. Working on these projects will help them to be skilled as well as to gain knowledge. Moreover, they will get money for work that they can use to support their education and family. Our ambassadors will always help them with the required help. Suppose, a student is learning about the process of making a wall clock, so why can’t they do it practically? Maybe be for a wall clock-making company who will give them money to do that. 

But I don’t want to make them be labor. Every country has some limitations and work hours regarding child labor. So, we will maintain that. And same work will not be given to them again and again. Maybe they will work for a clock company, a headphone company, or a speaker company! Moreover, we will not let them work more than the country's limited working hours. All of these can be observed through an online app.

Ambassadors

We can gather students from all around the region and select ambassadors among them which is not a hard job in this technological work. Ambassadors can become a medium between authority and students. The ambassadors have a prominent role in this solution.

1. They will reach out to as students as possible. 

2. All types of support to the students will be given by the ambassadors.

Companies

Why would they sponsor us? They need a workforce and this need is increasing day by day. They can get young talented workers through this process. Besides they will get social work fame as well.

Students

They can join us through local ambassadors or contact us directly. But why will they join us? Because we will give them some scholarships each month. Moreover, they will get working experience certificates after a period.

It creates the next question, from where will we get the money? We try to collect sponsors by contacting different companies. Every big company has branches all over the country. Our students will do part-time jobs and internships in their company. Obviously according to government rules. So, the companies will get a huge number of workers at a low fee. The most important thing, the students will gain practical knowledge doing these jobs. Plus, it would be possible for them to continue their study. 

Moreover, we will open online shops for the students where they can sell their idea and works such as painting, sketching, arts, programming, tutoring, etc.

But, the most important question is what’s about the problem in mentality? They are facing these problems because they don’t have any idea about good and bad, wrong and right. We will collaborate with different organizations and YouTube channels. They will motivate the students every week to study and catch their dreams. They will teach them the right concept of life and humanity.

SO THAT’S ALL. We know everyone will not be benefited. But getting something is more than getting nothing. So, let’s think about it. Because EVER ERECT SHOULD BE OUR HEAD.

• We will build up regional-level clubs organized by secondary-level students.

• Any school student would be a member of our organization.

• Our organization will contact different organizations, Facebook pages, and YouTube channels.

• They would help us to motivate students.

• We will organize some internship and part-time job facilities for the members.

• We will organize different science fairs.

• We will create an online shop where students can sell their creative works.

Through this process,

• Students would remain mentally healthy as they will learn and meet new people every day. They will get the opportunity to become dependable on others.

• They would be financially benefitted. They will get money through internships that they can use to support their family and education.

• They would gain practical knowledge working on different challenges.

As a youth, I have the desire to do something for the community. I have already worked in several NGOs to gain knowledge in this field. Besides, I have experience in leading teams.
