Geez Digital Library

Geez digital library is established to improve quality education by providing educational resources. It is widely accepted that most of Africa's education and training programs suffer from low-quality teaching and learning, as well as inequalities and exclusion at all levels. Even with a substantial increase in the number of children with access to basic education, a large number still remain out of school. Our project brings a solution to overcome this problem. It specifically overcomes educational material limitations.

My solution is an android software-based application that provides educational resources in document, video, and image format. It can make easy and clear the process of teaching and learning.

Our solution helps students living in low-income countries who have limited access to educational materials such as reference books, video lectures, and laboratory experiments. Most African countries have limitations to the above materials. Most schools even don't have a well-organized library and laboratory and our solution will overcome these problems.

We are close to the problem we came through it. And we all understand how much it affects our achievements throughout our education. Resource limitation is the hugest problem in education and we are the victim of it. That is why now we planned to solve it.

I live in a low-income country and I am working at a government hospital with a salary that is not sufficient for living. And I always have a passion to start my own business which is based on innovation or entrepreneurship. And I was thinking about developing an app which is very important and helpful for students who live in low-income countries. Low-income countries don't have sufficient educational materials such as reference books, laboratory equipment, chemicals, and so on.  so to do this I needed financial and some consulting(regarding software development) support. And when I saw solve MITs on social media I decided to apply. And I have great hope it will be very helpful and supportive to join this organization in order to achieve my goal.

Imagine a school that does not have enough libraries and labs, students need adequate and clear textbooks to study what they do not understand, and they need a laboratory to see what they have learned in theory. But think of a school where all of this is incomplete and you can compare the current state of the world. How can students graduating from these schools be able to keep pace with the current technology world? We set out to fill this gap. To fill out this gap we are to develop an application, we don't know an app developed with a similar purpose that why we call our idea is innovative.

Our main goal is to produce students who can compete internationally. The main reason for the shortage of resources is to fill the gaps in education.

Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

We can say that we have made a difference when students in the resource crisis have access to the knowledge that students in the other world can get.
