The poor are out of school and their social mobility is reduced. This decline in human capital has been associated with delayed economic growth and social development. A study by the International Labor Organization has shown that eliminating child labor in countries with economies in transition and developing economies can generate economic benefits that are approximately seven times greater than the costs often associated with investing in improving education and social services, noting that the ILO’s core standards for Child labor is the legal pillar of the global fight against child labour.

The solution lies in addressing two issues that are unanimously recognized as urgent needs today in Iraq: the education of children and the lack of employment opportunities for their families, as well as limited social progress. This solution will achieve the desired results through the establishment of educational activities for children / vocational training for young people who are selected from the families of working minors, the children are returned to study with the use of an artificial intelligence program to keep pace with their peers. The direct beneficiaries will be approximately 2,400 children and youth between the ages of 8 and 30 years in Baghdad, Babil and Zakho. The project will target both displaced children and host communities, the poor and the financially and educationally disadvantaged, whose places of residence are on the outskirts of the governorates in marginalized places, and the beneficiaries will be from different backgrounds, religions and ethnic groups. The Organization of Child Education and Empowerment in Iraq has extensive experience over 18 years and still provides a range of activities for children and women in Haifa Center in Al Baladiyat neighborhood in Baghdad.
