Teleproserv
Each year, 50000 to 100000 women suffer obstetric fistula. This is highly preventable yet due to the expensive cost of care and lack of ease of accessibility to care, it is the leading cause of maternal morbidity in Africa and around the globe. This service by Teleproserv facilitates access to quality healthcare.
It is a freemium service that connects maternal patients with timely healthcare. It uses AI, and big data to facilitate its mission.
It will serve the underrepresented class particularly the vulnerable in society. They lack access to timely, quality healthcare due to poor roads and cost of transport. This solution mitigates it by providing people-centred health services at every stage.
My team understand the needs of each community as they are natives themselves. Not only are they natives but possess international experience which allows for potential growth/scale.
- Build fundamental, resilient, and people-centered health infrastructure that makes essential services, equipment, and medicines more accessible and affordable for communities that are currently underserved;
- Prototype
To connect with like-minded changemakers and entrepreneurs solving some of the worlds most pressing issues.
- Technology (e.g. software or hardware, web development/design, data analysis, etc.)
Very little has been done in the area of maternal health promotion due to a few start-ups in the field. Also, outdated traditional methods of joining long queues in hospitals and treatment centres are not desirable hence the introduction of this innovative digital service to save pregnant women time and money.
In the next year, i aim to increase female representations on rural councils and leadership roles. I hope to raise increased awareness on sexual reproductive health.
In the next five years, i should have gained expansion into other African countries and Asia, predominant areas of obstetric fistula, the leading cause of maternal morbidity.
Measurement is based on the number of increase in female council representatives and also, in the reduction of school termination as a result of sexual hygiene issues.
Each year, an estimated 50000 to 100000 new cases of obstetric fistula is recorded. This is highly preventable yet the leading cause of maternal morbidity in Africa and Asia alone. Access to affordable healthcare is a basic needs that every citizen should be entitled to. The implementation of this digital health service will mitigate the cost of accessing healthcare in rural regions by connecting them with medical and health professionals on time to avoid waiting times and long miles of walking to access healthcare.
This architecture thrives on AI and big data. Due to the impact opportunity and potentially large market, there is big data handling and privacy protection requirements. The platform provides a safe and secure service.
