Vicar
The main problem we are trying to solve is the unawareness about Cervical cancer, we are creating awareness of the dangers and its long-lasting effects on the women's race. Every 4% of 240 women in the rural area of Lagos have an idea of what cervical cancer is and the rest do not have any idea or believe that they can be affected by the disease. About 73.3% are affected in our community.
Lack of quality education about cervical cancer, expensive healthcare facilities, stereotypes are some of the factors contributing to the problem in our community.
Consequences that result from the problem are: increase in death rate, patients discovering at the last stage, expensive medical bills which could lead to self-medication
Our solution is a Mobile App that automatically matches women to affordable and closest healthcare facilities and get reliable information about cervical cancer. The application gives women access to HPV vaccines at a cheaper rate and early testing, it is a platform for women to have access to information about cervical cancer, it connects them to hospitals for treatment, communities for advice from people who have defeated cervical cancer, it also provides an opportunity to donate and support people who are less privilege and are patients of cervical cancer.
The application is accessed via a mobile app, meaning that whoever wants to make use of the vical app must have either a PC or a mobile phone which is going to be making use of the internet.
Our solution serves women, with our solution, Women with cervical cancer are able to detect it at an early stage, start early treatment, and are treated by professionals.

Women who are currently underserved in Nigeria are mostly women who live in rural areas because they are limited to well-equipped medical facilities and resources. Women of low socioeconomic status are at risk of this condition, women who live in the slum in Lagos state are at high risk of having cervical cancer because they may not have an idea of what cervical cancer is.
With our solution, we can connect women to health care providers with the aim of giving them the best treatment at a less expensive rate
Our backend developer, Sheila has over two years of experience in programming. She is responsible for the management of the app portal. Financial support to execute our solution is one of our major barriers, educating and getting people to use our App is another barrier to our goals to be accomplished, while trying to accomplish our goals, the approval of the ministry of health and getting health care centers to partner with us in order to create more awareness about our App and get more people to use our App is a barrier that exists for us to accomplish our goals
- Product / Service Distribution (e.g. expanding client base)

Through our solution, Vicar to create more awareness in different areas of our community in Nigeria where women and the underprivileged are not excluded and are provided with enough information and education about cervical cancer through symposiums and other platforms. Vicar also wishes to partner with healthcare centers that are equipped with the materials needed for cervical cancer treatment in order to connect women to such healthcare centers for screening, vaccination, and treatment.

The technology our solution relies on is a mobile software application developed for use on small, wireless computing devices such as smartphones and tablets. Mobile technology is becoming diverse, it has improved from a simple device used for phone calls into a multitasking device used for GPS navigation, Internet browsing, and much more. Not everyone can afford a laptop computer or a desktop, unlike a mobile phone. With the technology our solution relies on, people can click on the mobile app, after installing it, register, and check the app menu for how to get treatment, Education about cervical cancer, cervical cancer survivors team, donate to support women with cervical cancer, hospitals that treatment cervical cancer, how to get HPV vaccine and so much more

People need to understandwe are living in a time where diversity, equity, and inclusion are important priorities. Every individual at our community innovation hub knows and understands their role in our culture. We encourage everyone and each team to identify and celebrate their differences and find ways to use those differences to add value to their position. A top-down approach doesn't drive commitment, so when you get all teams at all levels involved, you can make lasting change. The more people work together and learn from each other's experiences while working on a project, the more inclusive the workplace becomes. It can also help build a sense of community in the office. That’s why we prioritize collaboration and teamwork in the workplace.
We are currently making plans to partner with health organizations that can provide women with access to screenings, HPV vaccination, treatment for cervical cancer and educate women about cervical cancer and our Mobile App, and how to use the Ap
