ProfileMe: disrupting digital identification systems using retinal data, AI-embedded mobile applications, mobile networks and blockchain-based virtual grids.
This is a revolutionary three-pronged digital identification and management policy that utilizes retinal scan technology, robust blockchain-based ledgers, artificial intelligence and mobile networks connected to the bloc to profile and identify individuals, offering far more flexibility and individual control for both rural and urban areas. It is a comprehensive, interconnected system that has three primary features:
1)An AI-embedded mobile application that captures retinal data. This application will be optimized for different mobile phone technologies, allowing individuals to execute retinal scans as efficiently as possible. The retinal data collected will be unique to individuals and using artificial intelligence, profiles individuals on the bloc in record time. The retinal data can be used for a variety of purposes including registration, data protection, and can be implemented for health insurance, education, welfare and similar social security services. This also allows numerous individuals to be accessed and enables people and relevant agencies to overcome the challenge of the bulkiness of the bio-metric system, making registration for legal documents as swift and simple as possible.
2) A blockchain-based virtual ledger where individuals are profiled and registered and access is through retinal data obtained from the mobile applications . This digital platform allows individuals to be registered, especially at birth using retinal scan technology ( on the application) and to have private access to centralized identity management profiles where they can significantly monitor their legal documents and statuses, and control social transactions.
3) Mobile telecommunication systems will provide non-digital access to the bloc, allowing individuals within the community to flexibly register, extract, utilize and transfer/copy data between databases even without internet connection. The policy will mandate mobile operators to register babies at birth and create profiles for them on the platform using retinal scan tech (which automatically backs up the profile on the bloc) . Mobile identifications ( and accompanying functionalities) will be ascribed to registered individuals to allow non-digital access and control of profiles( individuals can inspect, update and correct personal data on the bloc using their mobile ID). This is imperative due to the limited digital access in under-served and impoverished communities.
This system has so many advantages. It usurps the conventional social registration processes by individualizing the approach. It bypasses mechanical concerns of bio-metric capture, manual registration and physical identification processes by utilizing intelligent retinal tech that allows individuals to interactively access virtual profiles developed using compact blockchain technology. It digitizes birth registration processes too using mobile communications networks and connects mobile telecommunication networks to the bloc, allowing non-digital access to the profile.
Embedded AI systems can analyze data, map social and economic discrepancies using machine learning and provide significant insight into social transactions of people and the demographic information for community policies and schemes.

This is a novel technological approach to plugging over a billion people to the grid. It has never been implemented anywhere. The underlying policy framework connects existing systems to this technology. The idea is pretty innovative due to the ease and simplicity of deployment and combination of materials in low-resource settings . Retinal scan technology on artificial intelligence-embedded mobile applications reflect massive disruption to the entire digital identification process.
ProfileMe primarily uses artificial intelligence, blockchain and mobile communication to create very protected systems for people.The emphasis on unique biological features like retinal information, ensures that individuality is priority and ease of access is next in line. The apparent lack of digital access in numerous communities will not hinder citizens due to the availability of mobile network options for incorporation. This also ensures that numerous social registration projects can be digitized on the grid even without internet access.
The retinal data technology and AI-embedded mobile applications are designs that easily be integrated into digital identification systems through the common connectivity to the ledger. ProfileMe is a comprehensive approach that involves more efficient digitization and centralization of data while maintain maximum individual control. The ubiquity of mobile applications and mobile networks ensures increased access for everyone.
The ease and simplicity of mobile downloads, the automated back-up systems using artificial intelligence and the utilization of mobile networks to further incorporate people who lack access means that ProfileMe is significantly friendly and non-technical for individuals with little or no technical expertise and know-how. It is designed to engage impoverished, 'invisible' communities and simplifies very high-tech features into simple, usable forms.
The AI-embedded retinal scan mobile applications will have open APIs. ProfileMe is fundamentally hinged on interoperability and to ensure limitations to one feature don't undermine the entire process, there will be significant access to verifiable third-party applications and users.
ProfileMe will rely on the ubiquity of mobile networks to provide access to communities with low connectivity and low literacy. Mobile networks will co-opt the retinal process(which will be feasible using mobile applications) and with each registration and access by a user, gets the user connected to the grid using AI. This ensures that low digital access doesn't undermine the complete access to the virtual grid.
Digital innovations have wide applicability, more sustainability and are far more accessible. ProfileMe has the potential to connect communities at whatever level of digital competence and sophistication they are at. Due to the increasing connection of people to mobile networks and mobile phones, ProfileMe's multifaceted approach will potentially reach more people each than the previous, every year for the next five years.

We are creating SmartNigeria, a non-profit start-up that is a collective of young millenials who solve local challenges using advocacy and technology( AI and big data).
We are developers who are keen to make the transition to data science and innovatively implement artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data in solving real-world problems. We are a spectrum of beginner to intermediate level programmers and social entrepreneurs who belong to vibrant social communities and networks of change agents. Our lived experiences and social and economic resources as change agents guarantees a psychological and intellectual readiness to materialize ProfileMe.
The project is incredibly low-cost. The retinal scan mobile app will e developed once and launched without any financial cost. The development of the bloc-grid is not capital intensive. No extensive mobile network will be developed. Existing ones can easily connect to the grid. I will bootstrap the development of the project and financially manage the deployment and patent registration. ProfileMe is primarily non-profit but it has commercialization potential.The mobile application features and the blockchain-based virtual ledger/data base can be marketed. With no significant financial input, this represents the mos cost-effective solution to digital identification challenges.
ProfileMe requires a robust community of developers and relevant stakeholders to materialize. Creating retinal scan mobile technology has not be done before even though there is remarkable potential.This challenge affords an opportunity to significantly connect to an ambient environment with requisite social and intellectual resources .
The primary challenge is the intellectual input. This project will likely be ready by the last quarter of 2019 and this is to enable me and some other interested parties to acquire the relevant skills and/or collaborate with third parties with the requisite skills to fully develop this idea.
