The number of individuals who can't afford their medical bills in Nigeria is very high and this has
led to high increase in death and deformities especially among pregnant women, children and
vulnerable groups. The major causes of death in hospital is because of inability of patient to pay
for their medical services.
The number of musculoskeletal injury is very high in Nigeria and Africa about 85,000 reported
cases of low back pain was recorded in a year at university of Nigeria teaching hospital medical
records. And the number is likely to pass 1 million in 2025.
Because of overcrowding in the hospital and limited number of bed in the hospital individuals
especially pregnant women, disabled individuals and vulnerable groups are at risk of poor medical
attention, death and disease invasion. The high number of COVID-19 infection cases rose up to
78% in 2021 because of overcrowding in the hospital and medical houses. 
The lack of information on the latest disease outbreak, climatic change and prevention has expose
individuals especially vulnerable groups to some certain diseases and toxins. Farmers also lose
millions of dollars because they lack information on how to tackle vigorous weather patterns,
erosion .etc.
There is also high rates of suicides and suicidal attempt by individuals who has long medical
conditions. In Nigeria individuals who commit suicide in 2020 was about 10,000 and the number is
increasing everyday.

The introduction of this healthcare software application called sabitok can solve the listed
problem. The application has so many features such as:
1. save feature: the save feature allows individuals save money that will be used for medical
services. It will serve as a health insurance option for individuals who are in informal settings, help
them to save their profits, which they can withdraw the money when they need to pay their
hospital bill. This will solve the high increase in death for individuals especially pregnant women
and vulnerable groups who are stranded to pay for their medical services.
2. Ergonomics feature: the second feature which is the ergonomics, helps educate farmers,
nursing mothers, pregnant women, industrial workers and general public on the correct postural
alignment to adopt during their activities. This section is constantly updated with the evidence
based practice on correct postural alignment using both pictorial and graphical representation.
This will help reduce the high increase on low back pain and deformities. It will provide nursing
mothers on the right breastfeeding positions, educate amputees on the right way to fix their
prosthesis and orthosis and help disable individuals on self help maneuver etc.
3.Aware: this section keeps providing information on the latest disease outbreak, climate change,

Food,  and activities that is dangerous to health. It provides also a solution and preventive measures to follow to tackle the problem.

4. connect section: this connect individuals to their medical experts who offer them medical services while
using the application. This will help solve overcrowding in the hospital and encourage quality
healthcare services. Disable individuals, pregnant women and the general public can connect with
their medical experts who continue to administer both pharmacological and non pharmacological
solution to them. 
5. community: this section brings individuals who has the same medical conditions together, so
they can form a group, advice each other, encourage and help one another. Such group can be
Stroke group, Diabetes group, HIV AIDS group etc. It will reduce the suicides and suicidal attempt
by individuals who have different perception about life.

1. There are about 40,000 informal workers who die every year because they can't afford their
medical bills. Through the use of the application, users will save money that will be used to cover
most of their medical services, depending on how much the user saved.
2. The application will serve as an insurance platform for users, especially pregnant women. It will
make them prepare for the journey ahead by getting their delivery fees and their baby items ready.

3. The app will reduce the 85,000 (2021) reported cases of low back pain in Nigeria. By promoting

4. The high increase of suicidal attempt and suicides which was 85% in 2020. will reduce to 2% in
2024. The app will connect individuals around the world who is having the same medical
conditions to come together and form a group. It will boost psychological health of the users.

Government won't spend millions of naira or dollars in hospital bed purchase, expansion and
equipment. Individuals who has a minor case can be treated at home while emergency patient will
require hospital attention. In June 2021, about 2500 capacity hospital bed in university of Nigeria
teaching hospital was filled, but through introduction of this app the number reduced to 800
occupant in November 2021.

Our team conducted a seminar talk to 25 communities in Nigeria. Introducing the application to them and assigning some member leadership role on training elderly people who don't know how to operate Mobile application. 

Our team will partner with service providers to provide quality network services in rural areas in other for individuals living in rural areas to assess internet.

To understand what our target group want my team assign leadership roles to influential people in the community, to act as a guidance to their respective communities so individuals can  convey their difficulties to them, while we get information from the selected individuals.

My team host medical outreach program on 50 communities in Nigeria, educating the target group, enlightening them and showcasing the product to them.

relating to the operation of the computer itself, typically to be used by end users. The application
called sabitok has so many features such as the Save options which allows individuals transfer
money from their bank account to the application save wallets. They can withdraw the money
anytime they need medical services. Like other application which is designed to manipulate text,
numbers, audio, graphics and combination etc. Sabitok has an ergonomics feature that is
designed to educate individuals on the correct postural alignment for a particular activity. Using

recieve quality healthcare services while using the application.
In Nigeria, many industrial workers, SMEs, and petty traders do not have any insurance scheme. This sometimes makes them susceptible to die because of medical bills. The app will provide the insurance cover for them, by helping them save some of their profits to cover their medical bills this will help them access quality healthcare services easily. 

It will be catalytic in improving the wellbeing of individuals especially individuals who are in the rural setting. By connecting to medical experts using the application to recieve treatment and medical advice in the comfort of their home.  The number of individuals seen in national hospital will reduce, it will create way for emergency care services to be adequately handled in the hospital while minor medical issues will be treated at home without overcrowding the hospital. The number of individuals who has low back pain in  etiology of poor postural maintenance during work will reduce if the application is well adopted.

BY promotion and building of save options in the app with financial institution to allow individuals save their profits and use them to fund their medical bills during their infirmities days.

Promotion of the application by using both local and social media, prints etc. 

By partnering with different medical boards to lobby their clients to contact them using the app.

1. In September 2021. We were able to hire app developer, and by 30th November 2021. The app
has been designed.
2. The number of individuals who visit crayon physiotherapy clinic in Enugu Nigeria, was about
150 in number, and the etiology was poor posture adoption. Through the use of the application
which educate them on correct postural alignment. 83 individuals regain functions and abilities and
stop physiotherapy treatment on December 2021.
3. I visited hopecare medical hospital on November 2021. I was able to introduce the application to
10 diabetic patient, they form a group and interact with each other. They were discharge the same
week in the hospital because the doctor notice that their health conditions was stable. The app
improve the psychology and mental health of the individual.

4. 

in August 2021, our social media handle page both Facebook and Instagram has only 30
followers. But through customers online engagement our followers increased to 5000 followers on
October 2021 and the number is increasing everyday.
Our website used for enquiry and observation has also recieved major traffic in recent month from
10 visitors per day to 3000 visitors per day.
Through our online survey platform we created (google forms) which we used to check how our
users reacts to certain features. On August 2021 only 40 people participated in the survey, but in
October when the survey was reintroduced the number increase to 7500 participants

according to onowu et al (2020). He states that medical digitalization is the major goal for equity and equality of health care services in the world. Because equality and equity is the mission statement for us. The application will serve the following purposes.

1. Individuals especially pregnant women, industrial workers, informal workers can save money for
their health. This will serve as a health insurance for them.
2. The ergonomics feature will maintain postural hygiene with individuals vulnerable to have
musculoskeletal injury, by educating them on correct posture to adopt.
3. It will connect users with medical experts in different fields of medicine and reduce the number
of individuals visiting the hospital.
4. The information that the aware section gives will help individuals to be aware of recent disease
outbreak in their locality, and how to tackle them, climatic change and prevention.
5. Through social interaction by individuals who has the same medical conditions, the high rates of
suicides and suicidal thoughts will reduce as individuals will continue to encourage one another
and provide support to each other.

my team hosted 25 communities in medical outreach and seminar based on the community that are known with low and poor assess to medical services. We created a centre for disability and disease in the areas. For individuals who has mobility issues that do not have money for crutches, we trained many local carpenters on how to build wooden crutches based on ergonomics and need.

We trained elderly ones who do not know how to operate Mobile phone. 

In 2024, we will partner with manufacturers like Apple mobile, Infinix, Tecno etc, to reduce the cost of Mobile phone, so individuals especially vulnerable groups can obtain one and have assess to internet to use the application.
