Cure Bionics
Globally, there are 1 billion persons with disabilities living in a world that's often inaccessible and about 50% of them can't afford healthcare.
Statistics, globally, show that there are more than 30 million persons with limb differences and only 5 % of them have access to prosthetics for different reasons.
Prosthetics are highly expensive and cost from 15k USD and can reach more than 100000 USD, they are not adjustable and when people, especially children, grow up or have weight changes, they are not able anymore to use and knowing that a child needs around 10 units during his first twenties. Moreover, most of the prosthetics have either poor or standard design with either a static grip or a very complicated multi-grip control in addition to the high weight and the complexity of maintenance.
In addition, prosthetics are not available everywhere and especially in non-developed countries and war/conflict zones since its manufacturing is hard and complicated but most importantly costly.
As a result, about 75 % of prosthetics users are not satisfied with their devices and about 40 % of the new amputees are rejecting prosthetics.
All of that leads 95% of kids with disabilities to never complete primary school and about 90% of people with disabilities in developing countries to be unemployed.
In addition, most of amputees lose hope, happiness, and self-confidence since this traumatic limb amputation is a catastrophic injury and an irreversible act that causes inability to support self and drives them toward various psychiatric disorders.
Some other complication appears throughout time such as deep vein thrombosis, pain, Neuroma and phantom phenomena.
Cure Bionics develops advanced 3D-printed and lightweight bionics arms that enhance the human body with multi-grip functionality and empowering and customizable aesthetics for below elbow amputee adults and children aged 8 and above with the aim to make it more accessible and cool-to-wear.
Our bionic arms have dynamic and adjustable sockets that are designed to fit with your body anatomy and to offer you a comfortable fit in varying conditions.
Using muscle sensors and artificial intelligence, our bionic arms offer an intuitive and effortless control for a multi action functioning.
Our bionic arms are stylish and fully customizable thanks to magnetic custom covers that are easy to swap to match with its user's mood offering different looks for different outfits.
In addition to that, we are working on gamified and immersive training solution allowing amputees to learn how to control their prosthetics using their phone and a bracelet with sensors.
Our solution will impact people with limb differences by providing them with advanced, customizable and affordable prosthetic arms.
These amputees can't find the prosthetic they need in their countries and should either go to another city/country or live without a prosthetic which leads to 95% of kids with disabilities to never complete primary school and about 90% of people with disabilities in developing countries to be unemployed.
Based on all of that an knowing that only 5% of people with limb differences are fitted with prosthetics, we will use distributed 3D scanning where we will have multiple hotspots where users can go to in order to get their limb scanned and that 3D scan will be automatically uploaded to our software that will adapt the prosthetic parts to the user and in less than 7 days, we can 3D print, assemble and ship the prosthetic to the user wherever their are whenever they want.
In addition to that, they can learn how to use their prosthetics without the need to go to a doctor but only by playing games on their mobile phones/tablets.
Our team is composed of highly motivated, talented and diverse.
We are engineers, designers and we are assisted by doctors and experts.
We are working very closely with people with limb differences from our communities and we are working to launch pilots through programs like Validate Global to run tests in Rwanda, Ghana and Nigeria.
- Identify, monitor, and reduce bias in healthcare systems, including in medical research and at the point of care
- Pilot
In fact, we are looking for REAL assistance to get FDA and CE approvals which will help us scale fast and big and reach more communities who are in a huge need for prosthetic devices.
In addition to that, we need mentoring in marketing, strategy, fundraising...
Finally, we will be happy to get introduced to potential partners through the MIT network to build a more sustainable distribution network.
- Legal or Regulatory Matters

-Solar and wireless charging : In the absence or limitation of electricity access, you still can enjoy your prosthetic device
Most importantly, we can build and ship a prosthetic arm in less than a week !
We want to impact 10 000 persons with limb differences and to be present in all Africa and Middle East countries by at least 1 scanning point by country !
We want to be the most loved, most affordable and most recommended prosthetic brand in the region!
We want to:
-Decrease the healthcare cost for amputees as well as government
-Increase accessibility to prosthetic devices
-Reduce the rate of dropping out of school for children with disabilities
-Reduce the rate of unemployment for adults with disabilities in non developed countries

We are using 3D scanning and 3D printing with robotic science for the hardware.
We are using sensors and signal process as well as building AI algorithm for the software part to have an effortless and intuitive control.
We are using distributed scanning and printing for manufacturing.

We are a team with different nationalities and backgrounds with full inclusion culture.
We are dealing with people with disabilities in our work and they co-design their future solution.
We will be generating revenues by:
-Selling prosthetics
-Selling custom covers for the prosthetics (recurring revenues)
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
We will be financially sustainable by:
-Selling our products
-Getting grands and donations
-Fundraising equity money
We already raised funding from accelerators and grants from organizations.
We also got some funding to offer prosthetics to amputees.
