Most communities have very less idea about the techniques in their locality to have houses that are good for ecosystem. With this solution, communities in locality will be able find the design of best eco friendly house suitable for their locality using the tools available in their locality.

The resulting solution is a web based interactive map where people can add their houses and find information about the techniques used in other people house. One can add the setup for their house and find their house rank. People can simply choose the setup for their house and check if the setup is eco friendly before they start maintaining the house.

Anyone trying to build or modify an energy efficient and eco friendly house can use this solution. The solution is more focused for local communities because that is where people communicate and discuss about their effort to create eco friendly solution. Currently, there is no digital community based solution to find the idea of the setup of house that is needed to make it eco friendly for a locality. When, people have access to such insights, they will have to put less effort to find solution for buildings.

Our team has been working as a proactive Open Knowledge activist in since 2013. Solving local issues with access to information and knowledge is what we have been doing. We work through community by engaging and mobilizing community for gaining knowledge to solve issues in community or to develop community. For this solution also, we will be following our organization model to engage community. To sense the need of community, we use data driven methods. We make sense through data and create data driven decisions. We use open data to do so. We also have an open data portal at https://opendatanepal.com/, which is where the communities contributes. For this solution also, we want to use open data.

Financial and cultural. We would be extremely happy if Solve can also support us for cultural barrier because culture is where impact is seen in the case of our solution. There are not much reliable digital solution that is available and people do not readily accept digital solution. Building a digital culture is a pain in back for our team.

The solution is based on crowd-sourced data serving to make decision on eco friendly housing. It will provide a broader idea of what materials and resources does a particular community need and that also bring impact on market.

In the short period, we want the users to be using this solution just to find the facts about theirs houses and the houses in community. In long term, we want the users to actually take action on building or upgrading their houses based on the insight that this solution provides.

The data contributed by community helps to find out the progress and impact. When number of data entries will help to find out the interest of community on eco friendly housing. The changing entry in dataset will help us find the actions being taken in community.

Our first step is to literate the community help them understand the need of this solution and how they can take benefit of it. Once they start find the facts of their houses and community, the second step is to actually start to make changes. This happens when community start taking action to make their houses better for ecosystem. Then the third action is to keep the community engaging.

As our main work is community based there is always inclusion and diversity in our work. That is by default.
