Kia affordable solar-power

Today, one of the biggest problem Africa, Nigeria is confronted with is the problem of electricity, in order to bridge this huge Nigeria’s energy access gap of about 95% especially as it pertains to unserved and underserved communities. The Kia affordable solar-power team, turned its technical and entrepreneurial expertise to the challenge raised by the problem of electricity including the need for communities in Abuja suburbs and last-mile to receive reliable power through my devised off-grid solar energy technology and eradicate the impact of climate change caused by the use of fossil fuels then provide clean and friendly geographical environment as well as creating Jobs for the unemployed especially the youths to eliminate extreme poverty rate in the land and provision of tax for the economy. Above all, my solution is solving 3 key areas of the UN-SDGs i.e 7, 13 & 1 respectively.

Our target market is Abuja suburbs and last-mile communities where a population of about 237,500 people i.e 47,000 households has no access to reliable electricity (unserved and underserved). There is a huge energy access lacuna in the market segment and our targeted clients includes emergency health centers, households, SMEs, schools, hotels, farmers etc. The implementation of my solutions has the following health, social, economic and environmental impacts

• Providing reliable solar-power for unserved and underserved communities
• Eradicating the impact of climate change caused by the use of fossil fuels then provide clean and friendly geographical environment
• Creating local Jobs for unemployed especially the youths

I and my team are part of the communities so, we equally feel and share in the pains of the problem of electricity, as a matter of urgency the need for the communities to receive reliable power and their definition of life means light (Reliable power). Kia affordable solar-power team are made up of experienced technicians and entrepreneurs who turned their expertise to the challenges raised by the problem of electricity, including the need for Abuja suburbs and last-mile communities to receive a reliable power through my devised off-grid solar energy technology. • Hiring of technicians and any other expenses

Kia affordable solar-power has new local made rugged tech-innovation and our business model makes our solar energy the lowest cost source of electricity and most important to note that we can start to finish project of solar energy generation with 30% initial payment. One of our new tech-innovation is our local made inverter, very reliable and durable for converting direct current DC to alternate current AC sensitively without surge interruption and We use a highly sort sensitive heat absorbing photovoltaic for the generation process of clients solar-power project. More also, we design and map out client’s special loads for installation base on their economic needs and purchasing power and our clients are taking advantage of renewable solar energy due to our low cost, clean and rapidly deployed. We use the 7.1.1 key indicator to measure our progress towards impacts goals i.e proportion of population with access to electricity. Kia affordable solar-power, as the name implies, we provide affordable reliable solar-energy installation, generation, distribution, maintenance and repair services to unserved and underserved communities. Below are also two key metrics we use to run our business

• PR-Performance Ratio, is one of our most important metrics for evaluating the efficiency of our various power generating facilities 
•  ROI-Return On Investment: This is our comparison tools, we use to compare project’s net profit to our original investment

Almost 300,000 people in our market segment have no electricity access at all and about 2million people depend on unreliable power supply. Kia affordable solar power invests in off-grid power solution including solar home system, commercial and industrial clients to help these customers to decarbonize their operations. As Africa, Nigeria continues to face significant energy access gaps as well as unreliable power supply for residential and business customers, The Kia affordable solar-power is committed to providing the reliable solar installation, distribution, maintenance and repair services to the unserved and underserved communities. Photovoltaic are the core technology that powers our solar energy system, solar PV are the molecules that form the basic building blocks of Kia affordable solar-power which convert the sunlight into electrical energy. The reliable energy is now used for generation of electricity and can be stored in the batteries as direct current (DC). Other core components our technology are as follows;

• Batteries. This technology stores Direct Current from solar PV panels
• Inverter; Our local made tech-innovation inverter convert direct current (DC) to alternate current (AC) in order for electrical appliance to utilizes it
• Charge controller/regulator; Sensitive technology that regulate the DC
• Load; The electrical appliance (AC or DC), that is powered by Kia affordable solar-power solutions

Kia affordable solar-power has 2 sources of revenue generation;

1. Installation service: This is the primary source of our business revenue and it’s generated from the installation services of solar

power to clients.

2. Sales of solar energy products: The secondary stream comes from the direct sales of solar energy technologies used in conjunction with the installation services and it generates a profit margin of 50% on each dollar of revenue received through sales of our affordable and quality solar power tech-components. As such, our financial growth and sustainability cannot be overemphasized and the return on investment for our customers is extremely high

Through my personal equity, grants from African Development and revenues generated from installation services and sales of solar power tech-component. We have achieved a significant success so far in starting up even though we still need much funds in financing the operations of the business
