Vet 360 - Own Your Destiny
Vet 360 puts data control and privacy back in the individuals hands Integrating into multiple official and unofficial ID databases.
Vet 360 will revolutionise the way in which consumers and businesses control their personal data. By integrating directly with official and unofficial databases housing personal data Vizibiliti is able to provide individuals and businesses with a 360 degree view of who has their information, for what purpose they have it and equips them to turn on and off who has access to their data in real-time.
This would include banks, social networks, credit bureaux, and several other multisource repositories where personal information is stored. Options will be available for individuals to add other data sources not represented. For those that lack digital literacy Vizibiliti’s AI engine will search a countries databases on their behalf to locate databases hosting their personal data.
The initial approach is to integrate directly with any home affairs department in any country ensuring that the maximum amount of individual unique identifiers are recorded in Vet 360’s platform. This provides immediate scale since everyone in that country who has a form of identification will be recorded.
For individual’s with smartphones facial recognition will be able to verify their identify in real-time by referencing their ID photo’s on the home affairs database. By doing so Vet 360 is immediately able to confirm the person is who they say they are and provide confidence that the person trying to access the personal data is legitimately allowed to do so. In low connectivity environments the app would record the individuals face once when connected to the internet and save the image onto the device allowing access to their information and the ability for the user to modify preferences offline like turning access off for instance to the telephony records which a microlender is using for advertising purposes.
For individuals who don’t have access to smartphones, SMS and USSD based communication is relevant. Vizibiliti will aggregate basic personal information that only the individual would know such as name, surname, cellphone number, parental details and verify an individuals identify by asking basic questions over SMS or USSD.
Once the identity is confirmed the user will have the option to view all data points which are being shared with any 3rd party. Communication would be in the individuals native tongue to ensure that content is understood.
The immense power of an individual being able to turn on and off what type of information is shared with 3rd parties allowing the individual to share unique information such as GIS data, cellular records such as when calls have made and received etc. This type of information can be used to create a digital profile for thin or no-file consumers who would previously not been able to supply 3rd parties with quantitative information required for essential products and services like housing, employment opportunities, and finance.
Vizibiliti’s CEO has experience of being excluded from the social, financial and data economy. Starting a business with < $1 USD and one ID being his identity number he had to build his digital profile from scratch.

Through facial recognition, SMS and USSD we would be able to validate an individuals identity, then based on the returned personal data from ID databases we use AI to find all other available data associated with the individuals information such as bank accounts, social network profiles and any other related content.
For smartphones facial recognition allows identity confirmation by asking no questions just a face.
Features phone would have specific questions only the account holder would know (maiden names etc) to verified the individual. Communication would use the individuals local language.
For smartphone users facial recognition matches a face to an identity number stored on a home affairs database which securely confirms someone is who they say they are.
USSD and SMS based users would be asked authentication questions which only they would know the answer to e.g your mothers maiden name etc.
Once authenticated access to personally identifiable information is available. AI algorithms could then search for any related information associated with that unique identifier and return where the information is stored, who has access to it and what purpose it is being used for. An ID number and 3 questions over USSD is enough to authenticate an individual in order to supply additional personal data to them.
Individuals would have the option to turn specific pieces of information on and off being used by 3rd party service providers.
In both instances integration is a direct process into home affairs with secure transmission when data is in transit and at rest. All personally identifiable information is encrypted and hashed. TLS is used for integration into other institutions.
On Vizibiliti’s backend only essential information is stored with any alternative data deleted after a maximum of 72 hours.
Integration can take place in multiple places including home affairs, police databases, credit bureaux among several others. Each database storing a unique identifier being an ID number or passport number can be used to query other official and unofficial databases for further information.
A practical example in South Africa is that home affairs has an API which can be queried to verify a persons identity. We can then link ID to multiple different data sources some of which are available through credit bureaux.
With as little as a cellphone number we can search and identify online social profiles associated with that cell number and use this as supporting identity verification evidence bridging official identity verification databases with alternative identity verification methods.
In South Africa there are many individuals who have thin to no-files and alternative data which supports that someone lives in a particular location, with a particular cell number, and rental payment profile for instance which can verify that the ID number being used is of a living person actually residing in a particular place.
Costing operates on a tiered basis. The greater the number of calls the cheaper the API calls become.
Restful API’s would provide easy access with supporting developer documentation and sample code to equip developers to easily understand how to integrate Vizibiliti’s solution.
Vizibiliti subscribes to the highest GDPR standards of how data is handled, processed and transmitted ensuring global privacy compliance.
Vizibiliti has also committed to undergoing quarterly independent security audit by 3rd parties one of which being an ISMS and the national auditor in South Africa being the National Credit Regulator.
There’s capability to classify personal data into development, UAT and production environment with evidence of: documentation, processes, and how security compliance is measured.
RESTful API's will be built which allow for easy access and integration. As personally identifiable information is extremely sensitive there would need to be limitations on who can access those API's and what data can be requested and provided.
Microsoft Azure is the current preferred cloud provider as they are ISO 27001 compliant and provide excellent API management applications to reduce the number of firewalls being penetrated and have strict controls over which API’s are called with what type of data submitted and received.
Vizibiliti’s approach is a cloud based solution utilising Microsoft API's, machine learning services and SQL database.
In low connectivity environments an SMS and USSD approach is applied with basic verification questions being transmitted to and from a particular individual to confirm identity.
Questions can take several forms e.g pictures / illustrations can be used for individuals with low numeracy and literacy levels while communicating in the individuals native tongue to promote the understanding of what content needs to be sent and received.
In environments where there are smartphones verification data would be stored on the device until an internet connection is available.
We want to be the number one global alternative ID verification & credit bureau of the future collecting alternative personal information which is not currently recorded by ID & credit bureau providers.
With more data our AI becomes smarter over time. We currently can analyse over 25 million South Africans using alternative ID information.
Our 3-5 year goal is to build our alternative data platform integrating more non-traditional ID databases not being used in verification and risk analysis. Corporate companies pay for our solutions while we offer individuals access to our infrastructure for free.
